Family-run Belmont View offers a luxurious care home experience in the historic market town of Guisborough. The home enjoys fantastic views and is conveniently located next to two doctors surgeries and a two-minute walk into the town centre.

The home provides excellent residential care with options for long-term and respite stays as well as day care for the elderly and those living with dementia.

Mam has been cared for in Belmont for three years now and the care has been good. She has a good relationship with all the staff.
Mam has dementia and Alzheimer’s and is double incontinence but she is always kept clean and tidy, the staff have a brilliant understanding of her needs.
Mam was moved
to the EMI unit from residential at the end of October and settled better than we thought she would. She was encouraged by staff to interact more with other residents and is now more sociable.

My father is a resident at Belmont View and is extremely happy, he has been in Belmont View since June 2022 and made many friends, the staff are amazing with him and as a family we feel very comfortable approaching the staff should we have any concerns regarding Dad's health etc.
The care home were
particularly supportive with Dad and our family when my mum had to be moved into a nursing care home. Mum and Dad had been married 63 years and this was very traumatic for Dad and Mum too. Dad was given the opportunity to move with Mum, however he would have been on a different floor and would have to make new friends and he really felt that he should stay where he was knowing that Mum's health was deteriorating fast. They supported him through it and we are extremely grateful for this and Dad trusts the staff which I think is paramount to the care they offer.

I cannot thank or praise high enough the staff and carers of this home. My mum recently passed away and they were so caring and supportive to my mum and my family. They were kind and understanding and sympathetic to our distress. I had never met the night staff before but would like to say how lovely
they were to us as we stayed at my mum’s bedside for 4 nights. They comforted and reassured us and we were impressed with how calm and cosy the home was at night time. I would love to name some of the staff who went above and beyond their job description, but realise this isn’t possible.
The manager is an extremely kind and caring person and this is reflected in the calm way he runs Belmont View.

My nana was in the care home for approx 14/15 months. I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of care. Having been in and out of hospital and another care home, I had grown disillusioned with the apathy and general lack of quality care. At Belmont View, this couldn’t have been more different.
My nana was immediately comfortable and settled, clearly being looked after well. But what humbled my family most was how utterly lovely all the staff were. Each member of staff showed genuine empathy and understanding of our situation. Whilst caring til the very end for my nana, they also supported my family. Bringing refreshments, checking in, sharing their stories of loss and staying with us, nothing seemed a burden for them. When it became too much for my family to bear, they sat with my nana when we simply couldn’t. How humbling to know they viewed a resident’s life with the same respect and care that we would as a family. What an amazing team of conscientious and caring staff.

Incredibly impressed by warm welcome well kept clean and beautiful decor for residents to feel comfortable, homely and safe.
My visit was for one hour. My grandad was well cared for, comfortable, safe, in clean warm bedding and PJs in a room made to feel like his own, with pictures clothing, teddy
dog (his favourite). There are plenty of activities throughout the week for pleasure and keeping my grandad happy. The best of care.

As I had to go into hospital my husband had to go into respite care and Belmont View care home, in Guisborough.
Knowing he was being well looked after helped by my recovery.
The staff were very helpful, considerate and friendly.
When the time comes for my husband to need permanent care Belmont
View will be my first choice.

The carers and all staff at Belmont were amazing with Mum during her years with them. All staff including cleaners and laundry always had time to say hello and say something nice. The carers looking after mum were kind and loving no matter what mum threw at them, walked in many a time unexpectedly to
hear mum shouting and lashing out and seen wonderful things like after being battered the carer would give mum a cuddle or a kiss, these times were witnessed when the carers were unaware I was there it was beautiful to see and that gives me so much trust in them. Know no one is perfect but the guys at Belmont were wonderful.

Barry & Joan Parvin

Having been purpose built as a care home, Barry & Joan Parvin established Belmont View in 2008, having successfully owned and managed our sister care home, Gracelands for 30 years, which they still do. We are confident that we can provide care and an environment which is second to none within the local area.

Hannah Parvin

Job Title: Registered Manager & Director of Care Joined: 2017

Hannah Parvin – Registered Manager & Director of Care


Hannah joined the family organisation as a social worker, to support and develop Gracelands Care Home.


Hannah has 5 years’ experience as a qualified adult social worker within Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. Within this role, Safeguarding was a big responsibility, submitting alerts regularly as well as carrying out meetings as a qualified safeguarding investigator. Hannah is also a qualified Best Interest Assessor and completes Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) reports. These assessments are carried out for people who lack capacity in regards to care, treatment and accommodation.


As you will discover during your stay, the management team and all the staff throughout each department are committed to providing the highest standard of personalised care. Although the surroundings may appear unfamiliar, the staff will help you to feel as comfortable as possible.

David Taylor

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2017

David started with the organisation when our sister home Gracelands reopened in 2017 as a Deputy Manager. After working closely with Hannah, David completed his registration with CQC as a registered manager for Gracelands in August 2019. David has then gone onto also complete his registration with CQC for a registered manager at Belmont View in 2022.


During this time David has completed qualifications to support other managers within this role and progressing further. David has also completed Level 3 and 5 NVQ in health and social care.


David is passionate about his job and the individuals that use the service. He has a great understanding of all the residents that are currently residing at the home and is able to communicate with each one on an individual and personalised basis.


David has the ability to support individuals with all aspects of their daily living in a way that respects their dignity, is non-judgmental and promotes their independence, choices and privacy. This is a key area that is important to David, which reflects individualised care and support to each individual.


Prior to working with BJP Corporation, David worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 5 years, starting as a care assistant, and progressing to Deputy Management Level.

Michelle

Michelle Allan

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2014

Michelle started Belmont View Care Home in 2014 as a Care assistant and relief senior, Michelle then went on to become and senior care assistant. After showing her dedication and working closely with other managers Michelle progressed to deputy manager.


Whilst working at Belmont View Michelle has shown that she is extremely passionate about all the residents within Belmont View and is always looking for improvements that can be made to the service for both the company and residents.


Michelle is able to create a personal bond with each resident within Belmont View to make them feel safe and to know they are always able to talk to Michelle if they have a problem.


During this time Michelle has completed qualifications to support other managers within this role and progressing further. Michelle has also completed Level 2 & 3 NVQ in health and social care and is currently completing her level 5.
