There is an attention to detail that keeps the home looking nice and creates a positive, friendly atmosphere which makes both living and visiting here a pleasure.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're really pleased to hear how happy you are with the care your mother receives. It means a lot to the whole team and we truly appreciate your kind words.
Recently, I have been liaising with the care home management and an NHS doctor to agree a safe plan for Mum to visit me at home for a short period. This exercise has led to the strategy to bring her out of her bed more often to get her used to being in a wheelchair for longer periods and to physically strengthen her. Not only is this initiative working well but Mum is more alert and mentally aware, probably because she now interacts more with staff members and other residents.
I am really happy & impressed with the engagement of the care home management and their initiative in preparing for Mum to visit me at home, which will mean the world to her. We are all pleased with the impact this is having on Mum's overall wellbeing
We are so pleased that we can help your Mum with her quality of life goals and supporting you all to have family time. Please do continue to let us know if there is anything we can do to continue to build on your Mums' support plan.
It was a difficult decision to put Mum into a Care Home but I knew when I looked round Elmsfield and talked with the staff that it would be perfect for her. Mum spent almost 6 months at Elmsfield and I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the wonderful care she received. Tara and her team are second to none. The staff were so kind, caring and very professional. The facilities are constantly being upgraded to a very high standard and the home is bright, light and airy. There is regular entertainment with music and making crafts. Mum was very happy here and I would have no hesitation in recommending Elmsfield to anyone looking for a Care Home.
Hi Sue, Thank you so much for your kind comments. We appreciate how challenging it must be to place your trust in a care provider, we are really pleased that you were so impressed with us. We strive to provide person centred and meaningful care to everyone who lives with us, whilst constantly seeking ways to improve the environment. Tara and the team will be so pleased to see your review!
Following my father's passing in November 2025, I want to express my profound gratitude to Elmsfield House. From the initial assessment four months ago before, to his final days, the level of care was truly outstanding. The team demonstrated a rare blend of clinical excellence and genuine empathy, extending their support to our whole family during a difficult time. Tara, in particular, was incredible; her nursing expertise and big heart made a world of difference. Coming from a medical background, we have high standards for nursing care, and Elmsfield House exceeded them all. They are the only home we would recommend to those closest to us.
Thank you for such a warm and heartfelt review. When the team see this, I am sure they will appreciate every word. Thank you for trusting us in your journey. All the very best from the Elmsfield Team.
Elmsfield House is the most special and caring place my Mum has been. She stayed from April and we all saw the ethos of care, kindness and focus on individual needs they offer. They cared for my Mum from a time when her care had been really unsettled until the end of her life and always showed her respect, understanding and genuine warmth throughout. I know she felt safe and valued, and the care she received was amazing. Thank you
Thank you for your kind words, they will be shared with the team. We were honoured to care for your Mum and wish you and your family all the best for the future.
As she approached the end of her life I was there every day and saw how compassionate the staff were and how gently they treated her. We were welcome to come and go as we pleased, no matter what time of day it was. I cannot recommend this home enough and thank everyone there for the care they gave to my Mum. Every single member of staff from cleaners to cook, to carers to admin staff were amazing.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It was an honour to care for your Mum and we are so pleased that you speak highly of the care she receive at the end of her life. Not only this, she enjoyed the time she had and made some wonderful friendships. We will share your feedback with the team, who will really appreciate it.
The staff at Elmsfield have been amazing throughout the journey of moving Dad from home to Elmsfield House. From day one, the manager was kind and understanding, especially when we had to explain things about care. The carers and all the staff are really kind and treat my dad and me in a way that makes us feel safe and understood. I ring at all times of the day and sometimes night and they have fully supported this. They have helped me understand every step of the way and I can t describe how appreciative I am of this. Thank you Elmsfield for everything that you do.
Thank you for your review and your lovely feedback about the care your Dad recieves. I am happy to hear that you feel supported by the team. It is a pleasure to care for your Dad.
The care my mum is receiving at Elmsfield is exemplary. My mum has dementia and was reluctant to move to a care home but since the day of arrival she has told me that every single member of staff is wonderful. They are caring, respectful and friendly and always smiling. She is also enjoying all the activities and the lovely food and she's loving sitting on the patio in the good weather. As a regular visitor, I can say I've also been impressed. I'm also pleased that I can visit at any time and am always made to feel welcome. Any queries I've had have been dealt with promptly and positively. Thanks, Elmsfield!
Thank you for your review. We are extremely proud of our staff and the excellent support that they provide. We think that your Mum is wonderful and we are so pleased that she has settled in. We look forward to continuing to support Mum with having a good quality of life, and of course, seeing you regularly on your visits! I will ensure that your positive feedback is shared with the team.
Elmsfield is a beautiful place with a beautiful community. From the managers to the cleaners, every individual is happy and makes an effort to greet you and smile at their residents.
The place is very homely and warm with kindness. The staff will do anything to help you.
We were so happy with the care we received for my Grandma. This was our first experience of a care home and we were full of sadness, Elmsfield made us feel at peace, knowing my Grandma was safe and well cared for. I could tell the staff really cared for my Grandma and wanted the best for her.
Thank you to the entire team at Elmsfield.
Thank you for your lovely review. We appreciate the recognition of the hard work the team put in to making sure residents have an excellent quality of life. We wish you all the very best for the future.
Communication between the staff on all levels and family members is excellent and the friendly greeting received on arrival at any visit is greatly valued.
Thank you for your review and the kind comments about the staff and quality of care. I am pleased to hear that you feel supported by the team and we very much enjoy seeing you on your visits.
My father has been in Elmsfield House for just over 6 weeks now and at first I was worried Dad would not settle but how wrong was I. He has engaged in all aspects of the home. He eats all his meals with the other residents in the dining room. Has conversation with the other residents and joins in in all the activities that the home has to offer which is every day. The staff are lovely, kind and very caring. The whole place is warm clean and modern. I could not be more happy.
Thank you so much for your review. It is a pleasure to care for your dad and we are really pleased to hear that he is enjoying the social interaction and activities. The staff will really appreciate your feedback.
When my mother went into Elmsfield House after several months of being in the hospital, where she had deteriorated badly losing mobility, and confidence and becoming more and more confused. After just three months of care at Elmsfield she is looking and acting like her old self, gaining confidence every day and joining in all the regular activities. The staff are so kind, patient and caring. They have time to give the attention that the residents need. Elmsfield house has taken a massive weight off our shoulders as well given my mum a new lease of life. Elmsfield isn't just a care home, it's her home now and she loves it.
Thank you for your kind words. They will mean the world to the staff. They work so hard, and I am so happy to hear how well your mum is doing.
My mum came to Elmsfield House after receiving treatment in the local hospice. Even though she is still receiving palliative care the staff have encouraged her with walking again and also to participate in daily activities. Elmsfield House is clean and tidy and very homely. The garden is beautiful, which we all enjoy very much. The staff are kind and caring, they always make us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend Elmsfield House.
Thank you for your review. It is a pleasure to support your Mum and your feedback will be shared with the team, who will really appreciate this. They have worked very closely with your Mum to understand her care needs and it is heartwarming to hear you are observing her quality of life improve...
Excellent and supportive care for the last four weeks of Mum's life. All staff very helpful and kind. Mum very well cared for. Communication was very good. Pleasant clean fresh environment. We are very grateful for the right care at the right time.
Thank you for your kind words. It was an honour to care for your mum.
As a power of attorney, it has been important to find somewhere that we could feel that our friend would have chosen for herself. Elmsfield House has a very kind, caring, attentive and family-orientated atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble. They fit in with her needs, not the other way round. The standard of nursing care is excellent (I am a retired nurse). Our friend has commented that 'people are always smiling here'.
Thank you for your kind words. We have some truly amazing staff at Elmsfield House and they always go above and beyond, it is nice for this to be recognised by a fellow professional. It is a privilege to care for your friend and I shall pass your kind words on to the team.
My mum moved into Elmsfield House in March 2020, just as the pandemic hit. I was obviously worried during this lockdown period, as I didn't know the home or any of the staff. No need to worry though, as all was excellent. So, three years and three months later Mum is still being cared for here. She receives first-class care from first-class staff. All staff are so welcoming and greet you with a smile. Elmsfield House has a real family feel and doesn't feel like a traditional care home, but more like a big farm house with a large family. I've always been made to feel welcome and part of it this 'family'. The only reason for not giving a full five stars is Mum's room needs upgrading, but management are aware and are sorting another room for Mum and are going to be upgrading them all. I would certainly recommend this care home. Huge thank you to all at Elmsfield House (management, carers, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, nurses and office staff) for looking after Mum and keeping her safe.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we absolutely love your mum (and you of course)! As you, quite rightly, said we are in the middle of renovating the older rooms so they match the standard of the rest of the home. We are constantly improving things and investing in the home to ensure that the environment is as welcoming as it can be for everyone.
I have been visiting my granddad in Elmsfield House for a while now. Everyone at Elmsfield have been amazing with him. The staff are friendly, welcoming and cannot do enough for him, or us. They really do go above and beyond. The home is clean, welcoming and really does feel like 'home'. Their new garden is amazing and I am looking forward to spending time out there with my granddad this summer; he used to love gardening when he was able to. I cannot recommend the home highly enough.
My mum is staying here. The staff are really great with the residents and my mum can be difficult if she’s that way out. There are various activities for the residents to enjoy, as well as a lovely garden to sit in and look at.
The support, kindness and care shown to my husband and myself have been excellent by everyone at Elmsfield. They provide an "at home" environment and treat him with dignity under difficult circumstances for him. I am always made very welcome when visiting. They are also there for myself and my son to answer any questions and keep us up to date with his health.
They have daily activities which she is encouraged to participate in. I get regular updates from the nursing staff and caregivers.
Her clothes are always clean as is her room and bedding, which is very important to me.
There has been a lot of updating done to the home. Elmsfield House is ahead of the game. An air filter system was put in just before Covid 19, invaluable in saving lives. All staff have radio contact bringing more safety to both residents and staff. All staff are helpful and kind taking pride in the care given. Meals always looked lovely and nutritious. I would recommend Elmsfield House to friends.

I’m a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (UK) and the Nursing Council of Sri Lanka, and I bring more than 17 years of nursing experience to my role.
I began my career in Sri Lanka, where I worked for over 13 years in acute, critical, and trauma care. Since moving to the UK, I’ve spent the past four years working in adult care settings, supporting older adults with nursing, dementia, and palliative care needs.
My main goal is simple — to support residents to be healthy, safe, and comfortable, while ensuring people feel valued and respected. I’m passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care, whilst supporting our wonderful team of to reach their full potential. I have worked at Elmsfield House as a Nurse, Clinical Lead Nurse and now the Home Manager.
I hold a B.Sc. Special in Nursing (Trauma elective, 2017) and a Diploma in General Nursing (2008), which covered medical, surgical, and mental health nursing.
These qualifications, together with years of hands-on experience, have helped me build a strong sense of clinical judgment and leadership skills.
Every person has a story — and I believe great care begins with listening. I’m proud to be part of a home where compassion, professionalism, and teamwork come together to make a real difference.
