Greenlane House Care Home is ideally situated a few minutes walk from the small Cumbrian market town of Brampton. The large and secure garden to the rear of the property includes a patio with seating and also a covered seating area. From these seats, there is an ideal viewpoint of the large manicured garden, with the newly built fountain, lawn area and vegetable plot. In the Summer months, vegetables and fruit are grown here and used in their food preparation.
In 2026, they completed their fabulous new extension, the extension features 14 luxury en-suite bedrooms, perfectly complementing the existing rooms in the historic part of the home. Designed with both community and privacy in mind, it offers residents the opportunity to enjoy social connection while still having their own personal space.
Each en-suite bedroom opens directly onto beautifully landscaped gardens, giving residents the freedom to spend as much time outdoors as they wish.
Residents can enjoy the garden or spend time in one of the many lounges or dining rooms. This home places a focus on resident wellbeing and offers indoor activities, outings and a hair salon. There is a lift, ground floor rooms and wheelchair access in addition to Wi-Fi throughout the home.
The home is fully equipped and trained to cater for residents over the age of 65 who may be physically frail or have dementia and EMI needs.
As stated above, Greenlane House provides care to residents who are over the age of 65, however, in certain circumstances they may be willing to accept residents below this age who are in need of care and support.

Mum was welcomed from first arrival by all staff and management. The respite care was put together very quickly and effectively. Mum has sometimes been difficult to please but was very happy about her stay. Family are all very grateful for your care, attention and assistance.

Mam has been living at Greenlane for almost 4 years and during this time her dementia, mobility and communication have declined greatly. The wonderful management and amazing staff have adapted her care and go above and beyond to make sure her every need is met. She is looked after with dignity and love and I cannot say enough how grateful I feel that Mam is a resident at Greenlane House. Choosing a care home for a loved one is one of the hardest things, but I would wholeheartedly recommend Greenlane House.

I was really worried about my dad going into a care home but all those worries were set aside. Greenlane House is homely, the staff are absolutely brilliant, nothing is any trouble, you are always made to feel welcome when I go to visit. Dad was a little unsettled when he first went in, probably different surroundings! He is now very happy, he likes to laugh and joke with staff, loves the banter. I am generally happy with the quality of care for my husband who has been at this care home for over a year now. From the outside, the facility might look a little tired and a bit of a jumble of assembled buildings - it is certainly not a purpose-built care home - but my husband's room, on the ground floor, is very nice and the facilities at his disposal are more than adequate. The staff are excellent and there is no feeling that they are simply going through the motions. They really go to great lengths to ensure that the residents feel at home and loved and secure.

My Mum has recently been admitted to Greenlane House as a resident. I would just like to say how impressed I have been by all the staff who work there - nothing has been too much trouble and they have gone out of their way to help my mum settle into her new home. The staff have always greeted me and my family with a friendly smile despite all the stress they must be under with the Covid pandemic. The manager in particular has been exceptional. I also think the addition of an activities co-ordinator has been a very positive idea.

I am writing this review exactly one year on from when my mother came to live in Greenlane House because she needed 24-hour care and what a year it turned out to be! Despite the enormous difficulties they have had to face because of Coronavirus restrictions and rules, which were and probably still are ever-changing at short notice, the staff have been amazing. My mother's personal care in an atmosphere of cheerful resilience to such a tough situation is exemplary... and the food is excellent too!
