Before mum went into Woodland Lodge we visited other care homes, but none impressed me as much as Woodland Lodge, especially manager and his staff. Mum has now settled in and very happy with her surroundings, fellow residents and more importantly with teh staff. As a family we are so grateful to have found a safe, happy, lively place for our mum, grandma, greatgrandma. Keep up the good work, you are all amazing!

Woodland Lodge has a friendly welcome when I visit. The place has been newly decorated, and the residents all took part in choosing the colour schemes and the furniture. The manager is very committed to person-centred care. All the staff are approachable and have a 'can-do' attitude. The residents are all happy and encouraged to speak their minds and make choices which are respected. All the residents' bedrooms are personalised, and things such as bedding are all chosen by the residents as well.

I visited with my daughter with a view to daycare placement and a future bed when the need arises. I was unsure at first, but after only a few minutes of speaking to the manager I was put at ease. My husband has early onset Vascular Dementia, aged only 69, so I wanted plenty of activities, communication and socialisation for him. Woodland Lodge has all I wanted for him, alongside a homely, relaxed placement, I felt would help him on his journey. Thank you, it is not a nice decision to make, but easy with Woodland Lodge.

It was a wonderful pleasure to visit our friend now living here. Our friend was very well cared for in this beautiful loving, friendly accommodation. Her health and well being was good and she was happy. The staff caring and provided activities that included visits out locally and to beach. The home was secure warm and friendly. The building full of character that evoked luxury. The staff were most welcoming and helpful too.

On the whole the home is well run. My sister is more sad living there than at other times. She is continually wanting to get home - she can't understand why she is there. It's a very sad situation.

My mother has been residing at Woodland Lodge Residential Home, Gumfreston, for over three years. I have found it to be a very homely and welcoming place. She is well looked after by all the staff and kept clean at all times. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone in the home, how excellently my mother is cared for. If there are any concerns arising with her, I am contacted immediately. This for me is very reassuring as I can relax and carry on with my normal working day without any worries. For this I am really grateful to all at Woodland Lodge. The only criticism I can make is that the building and contents look tired. However, I understand that there are plans ahead to carry out improvements.

Spent time visiting care homes in the local area and the moment my husband and I walked into Woodland Lodge, we both and smiled and agreed this is the one. At no time have we had to change our opinion, we are simply so pleased with our choice. The staff, facilities and care is outstanding and can only be equalled, not surpassed, in our opinion. We would and have no problem in promoting Woodland to anyone and do so now to close family and friends. A big thank you from us.

Staff and management are very kind and helpful. I know can phone at any time and they will do there utmost to help. The food is varied and includes many healthy options. The only problem, as with many care homes, is there is not enough staff and the carers there are often, rushed off their feet.

I cannot recomment this care home highly enough. They cared for my late Mother for approximately 8 months until her death from terminal cancer. Their kindmess and consideration to residents is second to none. This extends from the manager and her deputy to the front line staff . My Mother's independence and individuality was respected and nurtured at all times. Everything that could possibly be done to make her comfortable and feel that this was her home was done. In her final weeks which were difficult for everyone, she was treated with utmost kindness and thought. Equally as family, we were always treated warmly and with greta respect. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of care provided by Woodland Lodge.
