My mum has dementia and been a resident here for 2 and a half years. When my dad and I booked a meeting with the manager Amanda she was very caring and friendly. Any questions were answered honestly and Amanda was very compassionate due to this being hard for us. The carers are wonderful and the care they give my mum and other residents is excellent. They are all very friendly and give me and my dad a warm welcome every day. Amanda and her team are wonderful and work extremely hard to provide care for all in need. My dad and I never feel sad when we leave because we know my mum is very happy here and the care is outstanding. We also know that we made the right decision putting my mum in Oakdale Manor. Thank you for everything you have done and keep doing. We are very appreciative to you all and you are a fantastic team.

Sadly my mother has had to leave this home. Her mobility requires a nursing home now. It has been really tough as my mum has dementia. The staff have been wonderful helping all of us cope with this terrible disease. Thank you all.

Oakdale Manor Care Home for dementia EMI is extremely caring. My father stayed here and was cared for by very experienced staff. He was treated like a family member, not just a person with dementia. He was able to go around the care home with no restrictions. This helped make his stay all the better. The staff are very professional and caring, even when we had to move him to a different home, where they went over and above their duties. They also made us welcome and kept us fully informed with what his needs were.

Amanda started her care career as a Kitchen Assistant at Oakdale Manor in 2009, then progressed quickly to Care Assistant and achieved her Level 2 QCF. She then went on to become a Senior Carer while obtaining her Level 3 QCF, which led to her being offered the Deputy Manager role while undertaking her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
Amanda has been the Home Manager since 2021. Her aim is for residents and their families to become extended family members of the team at Oakdale.
