My friend has been a resident at Marchglen for many years. He has been looked after so well. He is always immaculately turned out and personally looked after, even when I come in unannounced. He loves the staff, and his food is always made to accommodate his tastes. The staff are Marchglen are a credit to the home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! We're happy to hear that your friend feels so well cared for at Marchglen. Our team works hard to create a warm and welcoming environment, and it's lovely to know their efforts are appreciated. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
My sister has been cared for by Marchglen for a few years. She is settled and well taken care of by the staff. The staff are very welcoming to me and the family. They chat to us and keep us updated on my sisters health and the steps they are taking to keep her comfortable.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it's wonderful to hear how settled and comfortable your sister feels at Marchglen. Knowing that you and your family also feel welcome and at ease when you visit means a great deal to us. It's a privilege to care for your sister, and it's always a pleasure...
Lovely ambience in Duchray Unit from the minute you step in. The staff are helpful and pleasant and always have a few friendly words when I visit. The rooms are light, airy and spacious. If staff pop into the room during my visit they always offer a cuppa or a coffee and we usually have a wee general chat. The unit is tidy and clean and I feel staff morale is higher following the appointment of the new manager. Overall I enjoy my visits with my sister and the unit does have a homely atmosphere! Sorry, I cannot comment on food and drink as I am not present during my sister's mealtimes.

My sister receives very good care and sees Marchglen as her home! Staff take care of her daily needs, and I love how I can visit any time of the day or night and feel welcomed! The home puts on different events on a regular basis for both residents and their families.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review, David! We're happy to hear that your sister is receiving such good care at Marchglen and that you both enjoy the activities here. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
Care homes are always lambasted for poor service and it's rare that the good ones get the credit they deserve - Marchglen is a great place and I'm so happy with how well looked after my mum is!

The care and services we deliver as a team to our residents and families is extremely important to us. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
Really fantastic place which provides specialist care for my mum. The staff looking after Mum are really great - such a friendly, professional and caring bunch. I feel confident that she is getting the care that she needs. Nursing and care staff are very communicative and care is very person centred. My mum is often having a laugh with some of the carers there and she has developed some really close bonds. There is a regular programme of activities organised, which is great for residents’ general well-being. The new management are very approachable, available to chat and have made a massive positive impact on Marchglen. Mum is content, comfortable and well looked after.
We would like to thank you for your words of kindness and recognition of the team at Marchglen, which are very much appreciated. All comments will be passed on to the team and thank you again for taking the time to leave us a review.
In these challenging times, staff at Marchglen Care Centre have been unfailingly kind and caring. Regular updates about the resident’s health have helped me greatly. Sharing the care of a loved one isn’t always easy, and the staff have worked hard to reassure and support me through this period.
Thank you for your review and positive comments regarding our home and staff who work hard to deliver high standards of quality care at all times. Your feedback will be passed on to the team.
I find my daughter to be well looked after. She is always clean and tidy. Meals are first class. Chefs do a grand job producing lovely food, great choice too. The bedroom is always clean and tidy. Entertainment is good too, some of the outings are not always appropriate for my daughter, but others are ok. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Marchglen Care Centre is an ideal place for any relative/loved one who needs special care. It is beautifully decorated and always clean. Staff very friendly and helpful and the care is 1st class, food and drink are also beautiful, due to the dedicated kitchen staff who go that extra mile to provide the best.
My niece is very happy living here. The care is very good in all aspects of her needs.
Marchglen friendly homely place. Care staff and nurses are kind and there for your every need. Have always been treated well and felt welcome to treat it like a home.
Marchglen is a friendly and happy place for residents. My sister in law has been here for nine months and is treated well with a high level of care and respect from staff. The manager is approachable and always ensures that everything is to a very high standard. All in all an excellent facility.
My wife was a resident in Menteith unit for 7 years ( she died sept 19th 2016 ) in all that time the staff were so kind to her and looked after her very well I never had to worry when I was not there, they also showed me great kindness throughout these years, I have recently retired as a paramedic with 30 years service and had to attend many nursing homes and this one was by far the best, keep up the good work, and again thank you.
All I can say is I could not find another home with the care and dignity that is shown to my husband and our family, from the Marchglen staff. We as a family call it our second home. I am kept up to date with all his care. There is always someone to talk to, even for his grand kids.
Staff were not only friendly to my dad but were friendly to myself and my gran's mum. Professional care always. The staff's personalities and sense of humour made my dad's experience a lot better.
This is an excellent facility. At times staffing levels are lower than they should be which results in care being delivered late. All staff are extremely caring to our whole family, not just the residents. It is definitely considered as a home from home, even the dog is welcome.
