“With over 30 years of experience as a Nurse and Home Manager, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals with complex needs to live the lives they choose. My primary focus has been on assisting people with cognitive and learning disabilities to maximise their independence and access to local communities.
After working in a nurse consultancy role, advising on the impact of disabilities caused by health conditions, I returned to home management. This decision was driven by my desire to reconnect directly with residents and their families as I missed the personal interaction and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
As a collaborative manager with extensive experience, I have a wealth of knowledge in supporting residents through person-centred planning. My goal remains to place residents at the heart of all decisions affecting their care. I find great joy in seeing individuals grow and live the lives they choose. It’s rewarding to watch both teams and residents gain independence and autonomy. For me, care provision must come from the heart, driven by empathy, and the passion to include both families and residents in all decisions affecting their lives.”
I get to know every resident personally and their specific needs. I work closely with our teams to keep up-to-date on any changes to our residents health or nutritional needs.
