Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Both my mum and dad have resided at Mount Pleasant since 1st July 2025. Mum recently passed on 21st September 2025. Dad still resides. I visit regularly and cannot praise the carers/management enough. Mount Pleasant have an excellent team who are so caring and dedicated in all of their duties. They
show so much love and dedication they are an asset to Mount Pleasant. I would certainly recommend this care home. Nothing is too much

Scoonie House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Whenever we visit (frequently) the home is clean and tidy and staff are around and friendly. Mum is also comfortable and clean and tidy. We are kept aware of what is happening socially and with regard to our mum. There are lots of visitors - youngsters and entertainers to amuse the residents and there
are also lots of outings arranged to lunch clubs. Regular visits from medical staff are reassuring. The meals (and regular treats) are of a very high standard.
Reply from Nicole Howarth, on behalf of the team at Scoonie HouseOn behalf of the Scoonie House team, we would like to thank you for your positive feedback. We're so pleased to hear that your mum is receiving such great care and enjoying the social activities and outings. Your wonderful comments have been passed on to the team, who will be delighted to hear your feedback.

I cannot praise the team at Walstead Place high enough
Mum just transferred here and although I was a little worried at first it would be the right place for her the team including the manager and deputy manager have been amazing.
I don't think I've seen mum look this well and her Parkinson's being
managed so well
Thank you it means a lot to us that mum is comfortable and settled

I have visited friends and relatives in many care homes but never have the words care and home been more fitting. The staff are welcoming, professional and clearly have the best interest of the residents in their care. The residents were all engaged in conversation or activities and no one looked lonely
or unhappy. This is clearly a home well managed and run but felt like a home and not an organisation. If you are looking for somewhere for a loved one do go and have a look around Claydon House. You won't be disappointed.

Our dear Mum has enjoyed the last three and a bit years in the incredible care of Beaumont Villa.
It is a very warm, comfortable and homely environment. All the staff are amazing from the laundry team to all the Management including all the carers, the support worker and the entertainment team who
become family friends.
Many outings and events are celebrated throughout the year including balloons, banners and a special cake from the Chef on each birthday.
Over the months/years dementia needs and support changes and this is quietly put in place with care and respect.
As a family we will always be grateful for the wonderful care Mum received at Beaumont Villa.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My brother-in-law has been in East Hill for 1 year now. Our first impression of East Hill was the friendliness of the staff and the homely atmosphere. Although lacking in some modern features and needing updating, the managers and staff are devoted to their residents, and continually try to entertained
care for them in the best way they can. Relatives are always kept informed and welcomed when visiting at any time.
In sum up, a comfortable, homely place, with dedicated staff.
Reply from Stuart Lamacraft, on behalf of the team at East Hill House Residential Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your experience. My father-in-law has been here now for 7 months and has settled really well. He loves being outdoors and Scoonie has been able to fulfil this through lots of activities in the garden, enabling him to access the garden when he wanted to. Also loves his trips out to local venues. Staff are very friendly,

Outstanding. I came over from USA to spend some time with my mother Jill. I came almost every day and the staff are just amazing. Mum has been at Galsworthy House for just over a year now. During this time the team have been amazing with her - she has good spells and some bad ones and they have looked after her through it all with so much care, compassion and kindness. The team (every single one of them) are an absolute delight,
nothing is too much trouble. The communication to me when mum had a fall (twice) from Robert and Linda was excellent and Andrea (Clinical lead) has been an absolute rock.
I looked at quite a few homes before settling on Galsworthy House for mum, but I am very happy with her being there and have full confidence in them taking care of my mum.

My first visit to a loved one today. Claydon House was beautifully presented. The Staff were super. We were offered coffee on arrival. Our loved one was clearly being well looked after in a beautiful room which was clean, warm and personalised.
When a person you love is vulnerable and needs to be cared
for it is a stressful and scary time...but when you meet staff with warm smiles and time for you....it means the world. Thank you. Xx

This really is a wonderful home. Yes the building is old, but the staff? OMG, they are so caring.
I'm an infrequent visitor to my ex husband who lives here.
ALL the staff I encounter on my way through corridors, ask me how I am and remember me. I'm always astonished.
The care for Alan has been
exemplary. (He's been, I've got to say, brought back from 'near death', through their nursing care). Unbelievable care.
No money could provide more..
