Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We're so pleased to hear that Bradbury House has brought you peace of mind and allowed you to focus on enjoying quality time with your dad. Your kind words about our team and activities mean so much to us all.
The staff all take good care of the residents. And they keep them occupied with things to do, and events to stimulate. The building is quite old, and in some need of investment, ref lift and some other areas. But saying that, it doesn't effect the level of care.
Thanks very much for taking the time to review us. We're delighted to hear that you're so happy with the level of care at Rendlesham, and the events and activities we run. If there's ever anything more we can do to support your loved one, please don't hesitate to ask.

A wonderful afternoon tea with out mum. The staff here are fantastic, so hard working and so caring to all their residents as well as visitors. No problems and if there are any they are immediately solved or put right. A absolute pleasure and our mum love it here. Nan has been at Bradbury House for 8 months now and we could not be happier with how she is being looked after. There are activities everyday, you can tell it is like a family here and the residents are loved and looked after. The social media posts also mean I get to see my nan everyday. We are so happy with the care my mum is receiving at Bradbury House. Her health has noticeably improved since she has been there and we are relieved that she is receiving such great care. The manager is always working hard every time we see her, the administrator has been a great help with finances and the activities lady is always offering a varied and interesting choice of activities and events. Please pass on my family's thanks to all the staff there.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, Michael, we're delighted that Mum's health has improved and that you've been given some relief. We appreciate your recognition of our team and will be passing your kind words on to them!
My mother-in-law moved in December. This care home has a very cosy feel and feels more like a B&B than a care home. That is a compliment as I viewed many care homes and they all felt clinical. Bradbury House has a lovely feeling when you walk in. Every carer is exceptional, including the management and all staff that work here. Chef, cleaner, handyman are all very lovely. I am very happy my mother-in-law is here. I would only say that on some occasions they seem short-staffed but otherwise, very impressed.
Thank you so much for your review and for recognising the different departments of our team and our dedication to our roles. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and your comments will be passed on and addressed.

Meet the Team (4)

I have worked in the care sector for 28 years, starting as a Night Care Assistant in a nursing home. I have worked as a Care Assistant, and then Senior Care Assistant in various residential, nursing and dementia homes. I joined Bradbury House 12 years ago and was a Senior Care Assistant for six years, also covering as Head Chef during this time. I then progressed to Deputy Home Manager for six years and at the end of July 2023, I became the Home Manager.
I oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that we meet all legislative and compliance requirements. I recruit and support my team members, as well as provide information and advice to support our residents and their families.
I enjoy my job because it is fun! I love talking and listening to our residents about their lives before coming to live at Bradbury House. I love bringing a fun element to their day by being a little crazy! I feel happy knowing that I make our residents feel safe and confident knowing that their best interests are my priority.
I love leading my team and encouraging their ideas, no matter how big or small, to improve and enhance our resident's stay at our home. I feel that I have a positive impact and that I motivate others and believe that my team enjoy coming to work at Bradbury House.
My biggest achievement must be achieving the role of Home Manager through hard work, training, and dedication. Personally, one of my proudest achievements was canyon walking. I was petrified, but excited at the same time and I was not going to give up!
My values might be a little cliché but are so true. I treat everyone as I would expect to be treated and if I feel I don’t have anything nice to say, then I don’t say anything! I believe care from the heart means being understanding, having empathy and compassion, as well as being reassuring.
I live in Braintree and have done most of my life. I have seen some changes, some for the better and I love the sense of community here. I enjoy the fact that I am able to see familiar faces when I am out and about.

It’s important to me that we offer a comfortable and homely setting that our residents are proud to call home and support them to be as active and sociable as they wish.

I was a carer before taking on the role of Activities Coordinator at Bradbury House in 2020. I absolutely love my job, ensuring that all the residents are smiling and building friendships. It feels like a family here, we’re all very close.

I have worked in catering for 20 years and joined Bradbury House in 2023. I enjoy working here and preparing meals for the residents, ensuring they are tailored to their dietary requirements. Bradbury House is a small home, which gives it a lovely, family-like atmosphere.
