Each time we have visited we find our relative relaxed, happy, great relationships wtih staff who are very friendly and kind. We in turn feel welcomed and find Cornwall Park homely & inviting. We often comment how we would recommend it to others. Our relative has really settled, talks about it being his home now & happy for it to be. There is a relaxed atmosphere whenever you enter the building and this is all down to the staff & management.
Thank you for your kind words. We're thrilled your relative feels at home and enjoys such great relationships with our team. It means a lot to know our atmosphere makes both residents and families feel welcomed. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are so glad your relative has settled in so well.
My husband is so lucky to have got in to this care home. He was made to feel at home treated with respect & dignity, the staff are marvellous to him and any visitors he has. He has the best of food, kept so clean & tidy his room is perfect. Bed so clean also his toilet. Nothing to much bother for staff what he wants he gets. Lots of activities which is super. Lots of entertainment. I know when I leave him he is happy & safe. Overall a great place.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We are so pleased to hear that your husband feels happy, safe, and well cared for, and that you are reassured knowing he is treated with respect and dignity. Your kind words about our staff, cleanliness, food, and activities mean a great deal to us and will be shared with the team. Thank you for your trust and recommendation.
We are delighted with the care & attention that Dad receives at Cornwall Park. It allows him to have a quality of life and enjoyment, that I don't believe he would have in his own home with carers. He has nothing to do but enjoy what's going on. He gets his newspaper delivered, loves his meals & enjoys all activities & musical entertainment thats on offer. Staff are all so friendly, helpful, efficient & caring. They also so approachable. He is so well cared for we're always made very welcome, we've next to nothing do but enjoy visiting him! If Dad could wish for one thing it would be Sky TV so he could watch the golf.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear how much your dad is enjoying life at Cornwall Park and that you feel reassured by the care and attention he receives. It's great to know he's happy with the activities, meals, and the warm welcome during your visits. We will share your feedback with the team at Cornwall Park!
Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Surroundings were clean & comfortable and gardens well kept and tidy.
Thank you for your kind words! We're delighted to hear that you found our staff friendly and professional, and that you enjoyed the clean, comfortable surroundings and well-maintained gardens. Your feedback means a lot to us!
I must say that the service is excellent.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly grateful to hear that your wife has been happy during her time at Cornwall Park, and that you've found the service to be first class. Our team works hard to provide consistent, compassionate care, and your feedback is deeply appreciated.
My dad, who can be a very difficult man, says he is very well looked after.
Overall care was second to none.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased you and your sisters felt the homely atmosphere at Cornwall Park and that your dad feels well cared for. It means a lot to the team to know their efforts are appreciated!
Staff always friendly and helpful. Our friend says she is looked after well.
Thank you for your review! We're so glad to hear your friend feels well looked after and that our staff continue to make a positive impact!
My lower rating for 'value for money' is based on the fact that self-funded full-time care costs are absurdly high where ever, so this is not directed specifically to Cornwall Park.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. We're so pleased to hear that you felt welcomed and reassured by the team's care and efforts to support your mum. It's wonderful to know she's now settled and safe - that peace of mind is so important. We truly appreciate your kind words about our staff and the care we provide.
My mother has been in Cornwall Park now for almost 2 years. She is 96 and has all her mental facilities. She is not capable of looking after herself and needs support with physical elements. As a family, we have found the staff and management to be very good and do a great job. One downside is my mother is alongside dementia sufferers and finds it a lovely place sometimes as no one to talk to properly.
Thank you for the kind review. I am going to ask the home manager to reach out to you to see if we could do more to support your mother with the issue you have highlighted.
We are well satisfied with the care and attention that Dad is getting, however we are not entirely happy with the small room, but know he is on a waiting list.
Lovely environment in every way!
Many thanks for your review. We will share this with the team at Cornwall Park!
I never knew Cornwall Park existed until a friend informed me that a very dear friend was a resident in the home. I made a journey on the 17th of May especially to see that friend! I was made very welcome by the staff and after 3 hours with him, I was overwhelmed by the attention the residents received from the nursing staff! A very beautiful building and the inside was amazing the decor, the furniture, the freshness, etc. It is like being at home! I feel very blessed and happy to see how the elderly are so well looked after! All the very best for the future!
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback! We will share this with the team at the home.
The staff regularly go out of their way to ensure the comfort and mental health of the service user.
I find it difficult to comment on the value of money as I am in no way privy to the financial aspect of the service.
I take comfort in knowing that my dear friend is safe and well cared for.
I have visited my friend several times since he moved to Cornwall Park. I have always been impressed with the staff's welcome and friendliness. My friend seems very happy and well cared for in what is a very pleasant house.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback, I'll share this with the team at the home.
When visiting a friend the staff are friendly and accommodating. Refreshments are provided and are excellent. Everywhere looks clean, tidy, and well looked after. The residents are well looked after and always clean and well dressed.
Thank you for your kind words. We will pass these on to the staff team at Cornwall Park!
I am currently visiting a friend who is now a permanent resident in Cornwall Park but has connections since 2014 when my husband was cared for until he died in 2016. He is fondly remembered by staff who are still in the place and it is a delight to feel so at home after a long period when going back! The atmosphere is relaxed and caring and the staff are to be commended for their care and support.
Thank you for the lovely feedback. We will make sure this is shared with the staff team at Cornwall Park!
My granny was a resident from October 23 until she passed away February 24. She received excellent care from all the staff. We as a family were kept informed of her health. The home is run well and the food served is good and home-cooked. She had plenty of snacks and drinks available. Her final few days of life she was given excellent end-of-life care. Thank you to the manager and all the staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'll ensure this is shared with our team
My wife has been in your care for five years and it is testament to your high standards that she is still alive today as we were originally told she would not live more than two years from 2015! This has been confirmed by her old GP.
My brother moved into Cornwall Park in May 2018. He was immobile and in a seriously poor state of health and given his medical situation, we, as a family, did not expect him to be with us by the following Christmas. Now, almost three years later, my brother is very mobile and in sound health. He is generally in great spirits and extremely happy. All of this completely remarkable change in my brother is as a result of the exceptional genuine care, devotion and love demonstrated by every member of staff at Cornwall Park. They really are quite a brilliant team and we, as a family, cannot thank them enough.
My friend has been in Cornwall Park since 2019. He seems happy here. It's a lot better home than he was in down in England. Just one thing he tells me, he is confused who the manager is.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review about the care your friend receives. The manager of the home took up the post in September 2020, following the promotion of the previous manager, who is still very much involved in the home. The new manager will speak to him today to reassure him of her position.
