My mum was a resident in Glenowen Court for the last three years before recently moving to a nursing home because of her failing health. From her first day as a resident, she was welcomed and experienced the joy of being a part of the Glenowen Court family. This afforded her an opportunity of experiencing
first hand, staff who treated her with kindness and respect. The independence she enjoyed was a result of my mum having her own room, with kitchenette and en-suite. This was in addition to the security she experienced, as an elderly person, having caring staff who delivered medication, meals and provided laundry services. Being a frequent visitor, I was made more than welcome and received regular updates on all aspects of my mum’s health. The manager was very approachable and conscious of promoting the rights of the residents. Covid-19 has certainly restricted movement in all care facilities but a big thank you to the manager and staff for keeping our loved one’s safe.
