Hi, my name is Donna and I am currently Responsible Individual and interim manager at Ty Hafod. I have worked in care for over 20 years, starting as a care assistant and progressing to Home Manager. My passion lies with continually improving our standards and quality of care. I am extremely lucky that I love my job and for me, it is the little things that make a difference for our residents and our staff.
Hi, my name is Latisha. I am from a little Island in the Caribbean, Grenada. I migrated to the UK back in 2019 and have since been working at Ty Hafod Care Home as a Nurse.
Prior to moving to the UK, I qualified in Grenada as a Registered Nurse in 2014. I worked in the hospital setting then in the medical, surgical and A&E department and Theatre. This has equipped me with the Knowledge and skill set needed to meet the needs of our residents. Moving to the UK and into a care home setting were a big change, but is one I cherish and am grateful for. For one it has given me the opportunity to expand on my knowledge, skills and to engage in a whole different culture. Though I miss the sunshine during the winter I come to see Wales as my home.

I then changed career paths and became an activities coordinator which I also thoroughly enjoyed as I was still able to make a difference in a residents life but from a different perspective.
I have now progressed to Home administrator, which is completely different to the roles that I have previously worked in, but I still enjoy as I still get to work closely with the residents and their families.
