Brymore House Nursing Home in London is a large Edwardian detached property with its own drive and attractive enclosed gardens at the rear of the house.

Brymore houses two separate units; an Elderly Frail Nursing Unit and an Intermediate Care Unit. Both units have their own spacious lounges and sitting areas, kitchen facilities and en-suite bedrooms.

The Nursing Unit provides nursing care, residential care and palliative/continuing care for individuals who have complex medical conditions.

Brymore House staff in the Intermediate Care Unit work alongside social workers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists from Lewisham Intermediate Care Team to provide care for individuals who are requiring rehabilitation before returning to live safely at home.

Individuals have access to a varied activities programme which aims to promote social interaction in keeping with the cultural, generational, physical abilities and life experiences of each person. All activities are need-based and supervised by two activity co-ordinators.

Each individual will have a social care and activities care plan and staff will encourage interested individuals to sustain interest in gardening, pottery, craftwork and relaxation activities.

My aunt was transferred into Brymore House residential care for rehabilitation following a long stint in hospital. The staff and entire team were so welcoming. Upon admission, her physio contacted me to explain the level of care that she would be receiving. The conversation was so thorough. I was so
happy that this professional took the time to explain to me how Brymore works and how the team can support my aunt on the day that my aunt was admitted. The level of care and support in Brymore is high. Throughout the weeks that my aunt has been a resident at Brymore, I am given regular up to date information on how she is progressing. When talking to my aunt she warmly mentions the care and support that she receives from her physio team and the staff.
I booked a visit to see my aunt in Brymore (as I hadn’t since she was discharged from hospital). My aunt looked incredible. She was alert and her mobility had improved significantly. There was such a positive difference.

I cannot put into words that would explain how I felt about my stay at Brymore House. I arrived after a 3-month stay in hospital after contacting COVID. To say I was petrified would be an understatement. The staff immediately made me feel welcome and special. I had very little feeling around my middle.
The physios explained to me what my rehab would entail, they, worked with me twice daily. After 2 weeks they took me to the gym and I continued to progress. All the staff I came in contact with were friendly. When I returned home after 4 weeks all feeling had returned to my body. I was walking with a Zimmer frame and crutches. I am now managing to walk a little unaided. Thank you Brymore House from the bottom of my heart.

My mother spent just over 3 years in Brymore House. She was always very well looked after by the nurses and carers who treated her like family. She was very happy there and joined in with all the various activities timetabled every day. We were always kept informed about her health and notified quickly
of any changes or treatments that might be needed. She had a small appetite but enjoyed the food, especially Friday's fish & chips. It was hard not to visit during pandemic but staff did their best to facetime us regularly and we did visit in the grounds when she was well enough. She always knew she was safe and among friends - people that cared for her.

My brother was in Brymore House for 1 year and in that time he had the best of care given to him. When we visited the staff always greeted us with a friendly welcome. The staff were always very kind and helpful. They always had time to talk to us about him and offered us refreshments while we were there.
If his doctor prescribed any medication for him they always rang me to keep me informed. I am very grateful for all the care and attention he was given.

Wow! What an experience. On arrival, did not know what to expect. Staff very efficient. As for the physios, their diligence towards getting me on my feet was like no other.

I am extremely pleased with the care and support provided by staff. All have been welcoming, friendly, helpful, compassionate, respectful, caring and mindful. My father received excellent care and wanted for nothing. All aspects of his care were considered. Communication with staff was clear and open.
All aspects of his care were discussed and explained to my satisfaction. The environment was kept very clean and tidy. The most important asset at Brymore House is the staff, from receptionist, nursing staff to cleaners. They all demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and deep, caring, compassion.

I have my sister in Brymore House it feels just like home when you walk in all the staff without exception are kind, considerate, caring and fun. She loves being here. My mum has been in Brymore House since June 2016, at all times her care has been excellent. We are always informed of any changes in her health and kept up to date with medication etc. The staff are all friendly and approachable. The whole building is kept clean to a high standard. They have regular

My mum has been in Brymore for a few years now. The care she has received has been amazing. The chef will cook anything she would like to eat if she is off her food. The carers are friendly and helpful, in fact everyone at Brymore seems to work as a team so it makes a happy home.

I would like to give a huge thank you to the wonderful staff, carers and nurses at Brymore. My mum, Ellen Curzon, sadly passed away last week following a stroke in Lewisham hospital but she was at Brymore in June for rehab following a bad fall where she was undergoing physio to regain mobility.
Mum
was looked after so well by everyone at Brymore and she made lots of friends there, not only with the other residents but with the wonderful staff too. In particular mum loved the food which she praised every time we visited her.
My family and I visited her at Brymore on many occasions and I too found it to be a lovely friendly place for her to recuperate and gain her strength back. I too found the staff to be exceptional.
Brymore really does care about their residents and when I returned after mum passed away to pick up her belongings some of the staff were in tears.
Thank you Brymore for making mums stay there as comfortable and friendly as could possibly be.
