Overall Experience
My wife was diagnosed with PCA in 2012. It is a rare form of Alzheimer's which affects the part of the brain that processes visual signals, causing progressive blindness. Short term memory and deteriorating cognitive awareness problems follow.
In May 2023 my wife suffered a delirium incident. After two weeks in hospital she was discharged to Primrose House. In addition to blindness, she is no longer independently mobile and is almost totally aphasic. She requires full-time nursing care and has lived in Primrose House since May 2023.
I am very pleased to say that I have always been very happy with the care my wife receives. The staff are invariably cheerful, nothing seems to be too much trouble and nothing seems to faze them, although I know that she can react aggressively during personal care.

Alzheimer's causes the saddest of situations, but in the circumstances we are fortunate that she is in Primrose House. She is in good hands and I can't thank them enough.

The staff are all truly caring and so hard working. My dad seems happy .my dad needs a one.to one as he is prone to falling and unpredictability with his behaviours with his condition. I think this care is amazing , given the fact there are another 26 residents.

Overall Experience
Primrose House Care home is two houses turned into one large nursing home, catering for 25 residents. My mother has been there for 3 months and has settled really well. The staff are very attentive, caring and really know the residents they care for in every way, always ready to assist as a team.
The manager gets on great with her staff and is very hands on if needed. She also has an open door approach and is easy to talk to if you need to discuss a concern, of which will always be acted upon.

The food is always fresh, nourishing and served in a pleasant manner. The staff will always confide in you if they have any worries or concerns to do with your relative. Overall the home is a very pleasant and clean environment.
