Lovely home. Staff always make us feel welcome. Food is delicious. We were not sure what to expect but are really happy here. The staff can't do enough for you. There is always something to do and the home is spotlessly clean and fresh.
Excellent care and support for mother - the home is very clean and well managed. The caring staff are very helpful and patient.
Thank you Martin for your Kind words and taking the time to Review our home.
The home is of excellent standard and provides everything required for the care of my wife.
Thank you for your kind feedback Brian. The team will continue to focus on delivering the best care to all our residents.
Mum has been at Elm Lodge for just over a year after several falls at home. She now has no mobility and needs full time care. I am very happy with her care, she is well cared for and enjoys the company in lounge. I always feel welcome and she is very settled.
The love and care and compassion given to our family was amazing. Nothing was to much trouble. Day and night time was always a friendly face, nothing was to much trouble. Thank you so much for all you did.
My elderly mother was admitted to Elm Lodge by the NHS. The room was good and satisfied all mums needs. The staff were all absolutely wonderful they there friendly, polite, helpful, always very caring and patient. The food was very good as was the cleanliness. All in all we were very impressed by Elm Lodge. They made the last weeks of mums life comfortable and peaceful. Thank you to all the staff.
Mum was cared for during the final 9 weeks of her life after leaving hospital. She had been fasted tracked initially for 12 weeks after my brother and I met with the fragility team. During the 9 weeks I feel she was cared for with dignity and love. As a family we were always made to feel welcome and any questions or concerns we had were dealt with promptly and satisfactorily.
The staff at Elm Lodge are excellent and my mother is well looked after by all these wonderful professional people. My mother suffers with dementia and on very many occasions will wear the same clothes day after day without realising that she has worn them the day before. If I had a criticism it would be that new clothes are left for her daily. Apart from that they are first class!
My mother made the difficult decision to go into a care home as she had become reclusive and very lonely in her flat. Whilst looking into care homes I instantly loved the warmth and care that I witnessed at Elm Lodge. The residents looked content and the staff looked happy. My mother has now been a resident since March 2024 and what a huge difference I've noticed in her mental well-being since mixing with others and having the attention and laughter of all the staff. The entertainment that is provided most days to keep the residents interacting is amazing along with the meals that are home-cooked on the premises that look great by the wonderful kitchen staff team who go above and beyond, also not forgetting the delicious cakes that seem to always appear. I believe there are also day trips out put on for the residents which hopefully I'll encourage my mother to go on in time. Elm Lodge to me feels like one big happy family and I can honestly say in my opinion we choose the right care home.
My mother only spent a short time at Elm Lodge before passing away, however during this time she was very well cared for. The staff were extremely caring to her as well as supporting us all emotionally. I would not hesitate to recommend E Lodge.
Thank you for the review. We appreciate such lovely comments and we are glad we could provide such a welcome home for your mum and yourselves despite her short time with us.
Kindness and compassion were always here.
The needs of individual residents were at the forefront at all times.
Thank you for your kind words and recognition of the team at Elm Lodge. Your mum was a pleasure to look after and will be missed by all as well as your visits and support.
We have no hesitation in recommending Elm Lodge and thank you for everything from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. We are so pleased you have felt supported throughout and will pass this on to everyone involved.
My mother moved into Elm Lodge in June and has settled in very well. The entire staff are lovely and welcoming and if Mum ever felt anxious were quick to reassure her. She has enjoyed the activities organised for residents and we are always kept up to date with any developments regarding her care.
Many thanks for your lovely review - we'll pass it on to everyone.
The staff are kind and efficient and any problems are dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction.
Most importantly, my mother is happy and in good health for a 93-year-old.
My late mother sadly passed away in March and the care she received during her five months at Elm Lodge was excellent. Every day she would say 'the people here are so kind, they cannot do enough for me'. During the last week of her life, the staff were very supportive to me and my husband and gave Mum excellent nursing care. Well done Elm Lodge for how you care for the residents.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, which we will pass on to our staff. We are so pleased we were able to help and support you at this sad time.
My grandmother was here for over three years and was treated very well. All the staff were kind and caring, especially the nursing staff and entertainment team. Not only did they care for her, they also looked after us whenever we went to visit. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They work long hours for minimum pay and we appreciated everything they did.
Thank you. That is lovely to hear and we will pass on your comments to our wonderful team.
A wonderfully caring environment, the staff are fantastic and always have a smile and a kind word for everyone. They take the time to get to know the residents well so they can tailor the care to their specific needs. I feel reassured that my mum is safe and happy and she feels at home at Elm Lodge.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased your mum has settled into life here!
My dear mother was cared for and supported by the staff at Elm Lodge, for just under 8 years. She made friends with many of the staff. She enjoyed her surroundings and felt safe. Whenever asked if she was happy in the care home, she always said yes. She was cared for until the end. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone's loved one.
Thank you for the great feedback, we will pass your comments to our lovely staff and we have fond memories of your mum and the whole family over the years.
Cannot recommend this home highly enough. Very clean and well run. The greatest care and respect shown to residents at all times. Family of residents kept up to date on their care and condition. A very happy place to be. Thank you for the care my husband received.

Meet the Team (1)

Francesca has dedicated the past 18 years to working in health and social care, driven by a lifelong passion for supporting people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. Her journey began in 2008 when she volunteered at her nephew's specialist learning disability school, where she witnessed first-hand the positive impact that compassionate, specialist support can have on individuals and families.
Inspired by her own family's experiences, including growing up with a father whose additional needs were never formally recognised, Francesca developed a deep understanding of the importance of person-centred care. Seeing the transformative difference that the right support made following her nephew's diagnosis further strengthened her commitment to the profession.
In 2014, Francesca qualified as a Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and has since built a successful career leading high-quality care services. Today, as Registered Manager at Elm Lodge, she combines her clinical expertise with a passion for dementia care, striving to create a home where every resident can thrive, maintain their independence, and enjoy outstanding life enrichment.
