I thought I would put my feelings and appreciations to you all at St Peter's Court nursing home.
A very special thank you for your endless care and attention to our dear Mum. When we thought all was lost, your dedication and determination, going beyond the call of duty, helped her to pull through!
Nothing short of a miracle!
Clearly, your record of no Covid-19 losses is to be highly commended. Hence, a huge pat on the back and congratulations to you all!
With very best wishes.

The date is rather old as I cannot review the home later than that, as I am not allowed in, and there have been an awful lot of changes. The home is lovely, and the care is good, but I would like to be kept in the loop more. We never get told anything that is happening with our loves ones unless they
are ill.

St Peter's is a small, friendly nursing home. My husband has been a resident for over four years, and have seen he is happy, well-fed and looking smart. As visits have been limited in the past months, I am confident that he continues to be kept safe and cared for until normal times again.

As a family, we are very pleased with this care home. The staff are always encouraged to see relatives all be it at the door with masks on at the moment. We're looking forward to the time when we can visit our relative face to face, not through a window. We realise the care home is doing their very
best.

St Peter’s give me peace of mind knowing my husband is so well looked after. With my husband having this terrible illness, I do get upset when visiting or phoning.
With such great staff, they are so helpful to me and kind however busy they are, they always have time to talk and help with a kind word.
It helps to know my husband is in a safe place and so well looked after.

I have not been inside the home for almost a year due to Covid, though they were all good before that. I have seen through the windows that carers are all very kind to residents and are very attentive to them.

Due to Pandemic, I have been unable to visit the residential area, so unable to give an accurate assessment. I am aware of many staff changes, therefore, am not able to say how well they respond to my husband. I have two Skype sessions a week, a difficult concept for my husband to understand; he is
often depressed and confused as to why I won't visit or hug him anymore! I am concerned about the impact on his mental and emotional wellbeing. I feel that with tests, we should have been granted key visitor status as this would help overcome the problem! He always looks tidy as does his room. If the original cleaner is still at the home, then I can say it is top grade, the original chef produced excellent food, I have no knowledge of the new chef. The original staff were very kind with a good standard of care, but once again, I have no knowledge of new staff but feel sure they are up to standard. Normally, the home is a happy, family-friendly place, at the moment, I feel increasingly marginalised from my own husband's life.

This home has been looking after my husband for the last five years during which time, I have been more than happy with the care and attention he has received from the staff. Whenever I go, they always have a friendly smile on their face, and will always try to make his life more comfortable. During
this time, when I can only telephone to see how he is, I always come off the phone feeling reassured that all is well.

It's that time of year and as requested I will give you my views.
My husband now going into his eleventh year and so very poorly. I feel sure without the expert care he receives he would not still be here.
What I like about St Peters it doesn't matter how small, how difficult, how important the staff
always inform and discuss with me and I felt assured of their best at all times. St Peter's will always be the best nursing home because of my husband's needs. Thank you, everyone.

My father is very well cared for at St Peters Court. All the staff know him and take the time to converse with him, bearing in mind the level of dementia. He is well dressed, his hair cut regularly and his medical needs are met. The home is run very well.

Whenever I contact the home or visit mum I am always very impressed with the standard of care mum receives. St Peter's Court staff are all lovely and mum's care is excellent. They always tell me if they are worried about mum. I would have no hesitation in recommending St Peter's Court to anybody.

A lovely environment and very caring staff. Any issues have been dealt with professionally and within a very good time-scale. The staff have very positive attitudes to their patients and treat them well.
The only room for improvement that I can see is in the activities provided, sometimes they don't
seem to be well thought out and hard for patients to interact with.
Also a little more encouragement with fluid intake.

My overall opinion is very good, although sometimes the staff are very busy and don't have much time to spend with the residents. My husband seems quite settled here and is eating well, but staff could spend more time with him to make sure he eats his food and drink. Overall, i'm quite happy with the
home.

My husband is now advanced Alzheimer's he cannot walk, talk, feed himself and is totally incontinent. He is excellently looked after and he is always spotlessly clean, well fed, all the staff know he likes Rock'n'Roll music and watching t.v so he is quite content and happy, always smiling which gives
me and our only daughter peace of mind in the confidence that he could not be looked after any better. Our view is that all the nurses and carers are above excellent and go the full mile and above in looking after him even matching his outfits so that he looks nice. Well done everyone.

I cannot fault the care and attention my mother is given at St Peter's Court. The staff are always considerate and do their utmost to ensure that all her needs are fully met. The staff and manager are always on hand to answer any questions and I am always fully informed if my mother is unwell at any
time. The staff are amazing and work really hard caring for the residents, but also with fundraising to provide those little extras for the residents to enjoy, particularly entertainment.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.375)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.375) out of 10 for St Peter's Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.675 for St Peter's Court is calculated as follows: ( (59 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 80 Ratings = 4.675
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Peter's Court is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 registered maximum number of service users is 4.8, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
