Funding & Fees
Weekly Charges per Person
Our fees are tailored to each individual, reflecting their level of care, nursing needs, and room type. We provide clear, personalised fee guidance from the outset, with no hidden costs.
Our standard fees include accommodation, meals, personal care, nursing support (where applicable), and access to all core services within the home.
Additional services such as hairdressing and private chiropody are not included within standard fees and are charged separately. Telephones are available in all rooms; residents are responsible for call usage costs, although connection is already in place.
We welcome both privately funded and local authority placements and can support families with funding pathways, including Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and third-party top-ups where applicable.
We are able to support urgent admissions, including hospital discharges and short-term placements, and can typically complete assessments within 24 hours. Our team works proactively with families and professionals to ensure a smooth, timely transition into the home.

Both my parents were here. My father passed in April in the home very happily with our family together with him for his last eight days. The home was so supportive, caring and wonderful during this difficult time. My mother is still here excelling at 92 and also very happy here! I highly recommend the Devonshire.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Devonshire Care Home for approximately 3 years. All of the staff from the Matron to the domestic team are incredibly caring. There's also a wide range of activities run by a very enthusiastic team. I would highly recommend this nursing home.

After searching & viewing some nursing homes I found the Devonshire Care Home & I met with the Matron in 2022.
My wife has since been living permanently in the home & is being well looked after by all the staff. The home is like having a big family together having a good time with organised activities and live music which is good for brain stimulation & the kitchen provides good healthy food for all residents.

The Devonshire Nursing Home is a very warm and welcoming place. Delightful staff from all aspects of the home including nurses, activities, arts and crafts also social events such as going to the theatre and days out. I would recommend this nursing home.

My wife has been a resident for over 2 years and I am full of praise and gratitude for the professional nursing care at all levels. There is a warmth and respect mixed with a calm attitude to any crisis. Activities are many and varied and well run, tailored to individual's limitations. Having both my parents residing at the Devonshire Nursing Home, I can only say what an incredible place this is.
The nursing/care is exemplary - every team member we have encountered shows both professionalism and, importantly care and kindness.
Clearly incredibly well led from the top, and communication and leadership are evident.

The variety of activities organised by the activity coordinator is incredible! She is a true star, and her imagination and dedication know no limits! To see our parents engaging/being actively encouraged to participate is lovely. We know the activity coordinator has won awards - we are not surprised! She uses social platforms and technology to their best - sharing with us the day-to-day activities and sheer fun they have! Dad enjoyed his Boys Day Out last week - including fish and chips! Then this is shared via our phones so we can see and continue to feel part of their lives. We are so grateful - thank you to each and every one of you at the Devonshire Nursing Home!

What a warm and friendly place. I know that my elderly mum has the best care possible. There is always someone at hand to talk to if you have any questions. I certainly would recommend this home. The rooms are well equipped and there is a stunning view looking out the back to the huge gardens.

The Devonshire was recommended to me by more than one person and has more than met our expectations. The slight access issues are more than compensated for by the attitudes and caring abilities of all the staff from the matron to the handyman.

I have worked in the care sector for over 30 years, starting my journey as a Care Assistant and working my way up to Registered Manager — a role I have proudly held for the past 16 years.
Caring has always been at the heart of what I do, and I truly believe a care home should feel just like that — a home. Somewhere people feel safe, comfortable, and surrounded by kindness. I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents are treated with dignity and respect, where laughter is heard every day, and where people can continue to live fulfilling lives.
I am a very hands-on and approachable leader, and I take real pride in being part of the day-to-day life of the home. Building meaningful relationships with residents and their families is incredibly important to me — taking the time to understand each person, supporting them through challenges, and celebrating the little moments that make a big difference.
For me, it’s not just about care plans and routines — it’s about people. Seeing someone settled, smiling, and feeling at ease is what makes this role so rewarding. I also feel strongly about supporting my team, creating a positive atmosphere where staff feel valued, confident, and proud of the care they provide.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and spending quality time with friends and family.
