My daughter has been here for a year and half now, she's the happiest i have ever seen her. She goes out a lot and enjoys everything she does, when she's in she gets on with her colouring gardening helping out in the kitchen and she's loves having a look at everyone's rooms and going into the office talking to the manger The staff here and i mean all staff are so very dedicated to their jobs, always a friendly smile when you visit. I could not asked for everything more thank you buttermere xx

My brother has been a resident at Buttermere House for several years now, and the overall care, attention to optimizing the experience of all residents, and ultimately my brother's happiness continues to improve and surpass my expectations. He is in the best place he can be, the awesome staff support him in all aspects of his needs, and he is flourishing in his own way that wouldn't be possible elsewhere. So thank you Buttermere House team.

Buttermere provides a fantastic, safe and friendly environment for my brother, and I'm always impressed by the dedication, care and commitment of the staff when I visit. Whether I'm there for a quick visit and walk around the grounds or for a special event, it's great to see how well the care home is run and happy the residents are.

My son has been a resident at Buttermere House for 10 years and is so happy there. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make him as happy and comfortable as possible. Whenever we visit him we are really warmly welcomed and the house seems buzzing with activity. The care he receives is outstanding. The carers arrange outings for the residents and tailor these to the needs of each individual there. The house is located in amazing grounds and is purpose built so that there is plenty of room for wheelchair users as well as those who can walk. We are in no doubt that he is very happy there as when we see him (weekly) he is healthy, happy and contented.

My daughter has lived at Buttermere House for over ten years and she loves it there! It definitely is her home and she loves being part of the "Buttermere family". The manager is amazing and you can tell how much she cares for all the residents and she runs the home very efficiently. All the staff are so friendly and keep me up-to-date with everything relating to my daughter. The home is clean and tidy and if there is something to celebrate, an event, birthday, etc. the home is decorated and everyone joins in. The garden and surrounding area is amazing with so much space which suits my daughter as she loves being outside and going for long walks in a very safe environment.

I have found this to be a perfect care home for my sister. The staff fully understand her needs, which are many, including autism. They understand the importance of a timely routine and are able to constantly reassure. The staff understand the importance of stimulation and as such my sister is very happy living at Buttermere House. She enjoys an excellent room and very easy wheelchair access throughout the home. The home is always kept spotless. Trips out are varied and frequent which she really enjoys.

I visit regularly, every few weeks. The residents are very well cared for by the staff. The home is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly, polite and welcoming. There’s a cosy and warm atmosphere inside. The surrounding gardens and grounds are a joy to walk around. My daughter really enjoys her walks around the estate and beyond. I’m confident that she is happy there. The residents and staff are like a big family. At Christmas, Easter, Halloween, birthdays and other special occasions, the staff do a great job decorating the home. The summer BBQs are also fun to attend.

My grandson lives at Buttermere House with several other people. I love going to visit him there because it's such a friendly place to be. We walk him around the lovely, spacious grounds in his wheelchair and he is so happy. All the staff are particularly welcoming. It is an ideal place for him to live, meeting all his needs, which is a great comfort to me.

My sister has been at Buttermere house for 10 plus years. The staff are fantastic at dealing with her specific needs as well as the other children that are in the house. As well as the care, the location is well suited for my sister who loves the outside but needs a safe environment away from roads etc. All the staff are friendly and professional which creates an amazing environment for my sister to thrive in.

Buttermere House has such a welcoming environment and is located in the most fantastic area - the fresh air, open fields and beautiful green scenery make the home a truly safe place for all people; carers, residents and visitors.
I honestly cannot praise the carers enough, their support gives the residents opportunities to be a part of meaningful experiences whilst ensuring all healthcare needs are met. Everyone takes great care of all the residents and there is always a positive energy as soon as you walk in.

I genuinely feel confident that my family member is safe and happy at her home with Buttermere.

Alexandra SuleJob Title:Care Home Manager

Welcome to our warm and friendly purpose-built home-from-home in the beautiful semi-rural location of Horsham, West Sussex.

Surrounded by acres of fields perfect for rural walks, with our very own duck pond, we enjoy a tranquil setting close to nature. We are also a mere 5-minute drive from the shops and amenities of Horsham town with easy access to public transport and a railway station.

We pride ourselves on providing a warm, family atmosphere for the people we support, with the friendliness and welcoming nature of our team notable to all who visit. Promoting as much independence as possible is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to assist the people we support in doing the things they love most, such as visiting autism-friendly quiet shopping hours and beautiful coastal walks.

Having started my career 23 years ago supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health conditions, I have worked my way up from support worker to senior support worker, deputy manager and then to home manager.

I feel very passionate about my team, their development, and the way that they support the people living at Buttermere House.

I have an open-door policy and encourage the team to support and be there for each other as teamwork makes the happiest home for the people we support.
