The staff are very caring. There are many carers on hand and all interact with my Mum. She is not always easy and they respond to her well and with good humour. She receives regular medical care and monitor her diabetes well. If I am concerned about her health they always arrange for the Doctor to see her and I receive phone calls or emails to confirm any outcome. Her food has been adjusted to ensure she does not choke. I have no concern for Mums care and know she is looked after as well as her condition allows.

She appears comfortable, well looked after and impotently happy
The thing that stands out for me most is how friendly, happy, helpful and caring ALL the staff are. There are always plenty of smiles

I find the staff at the home very nice and caring you can always find someone to talk to and they are all friendly, my husbands key worker is excellent and always knows about my husbands needs and will always find time to talk to me if I need to ask a question. The nurses are also very good and always keep me informed if there is a problem with my husband and I regularly get asked if I have any concerns about his care.

A weekend visit shows up more than normal the lack of 'housekeeping'. Rubbish in the bathroom bin (no bag to hold it) a very wet floor around the shower/handbasin area. Looks like mold in this area of the vinyl. No floor cleaning in the bathroom, and once again surfaces need cleaning. Clothes are generally stuffed into drawers, unfolded and inside out. Although all brother's clothes are name labelled, usually find other people's clothes. Rated as at the above date only!

All staff's engagement with my wife is first class! This includes me and my family at all times. They are most courteous, jovial, pleasant, excellent at what they do and helpful and willing. Also, expedient when called. Hoovering and general cleaning are always being carried out.

My mother was admitted to Coniston Court for assessment after a two week stay in hospital following a fall at home. She was frightened and confused when she arrived and was still quite poorly. The staff at Coniston Court welcomed her and reassured her from the beginning. The manager is always available and is really hands on and runs the home with great attention and care regarding residents, the staff and family members.

All the carers were so kind and compassionate and treated her not only professionally with the care she needed but also as a friend. She received a lot of hugs when she was frightened or confused and was encouraged to take part in the daily events and entertainment which were also excellent. In particular her nurse, was incredibly kind to mum during her entire stay. Mum loved the food there which was excellent and of a really high standard. We will always be grateful to everyone there who helped the whole family through a very difficult time.

Chose Coniston Court for a number of reasons.
1. Recommendations from relatives of residents.
2. Clost to our home so can make daily visits.
3. Weekly fee more reasonable than other local homes.
4. Very impressed with home manager, nurses and carers.

My wife has now been in Coniston Court for 10 weeks and I cannot fault the place. Super caring staff, excellent food, likes and dislikes catered for. For me and my wife it ticks all the boxes. Entertainment for residents several times a week.

My Dad came into Windermere in April and from day one the staff have been amazing. I felt confident every time I left that my Dad was being cared for and looked after. Sadly I lost my Dad at the beginning of June and the compassion shown by the team was so lovely. They were kind and supportive and really cared for my Dad right up until the very end always showing him dignity and respect. They looked after me too, always offering me tea and biscuits and being supportive on the hard days. I am so very grateful to them all.

My son has been a resident at Buttermere House for 10 years and is so happy there. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make him as happy and comfortable as possible. Whenever we visit him we are really warmly welcomed and the house seems buzzing with activity. The care he receives is outstanding. The carers arrange outings for the residents and tailor these to the needs of each individual there. The house is located in amazing grounds and is purpose built so that there is plenty of room for wheelchair users as well as those who can walk. We are in no doubt that he is very happy there as when we see him (weekly) he is healthy, happy and contented.

I stayed for Sunday lunch which was a leek and potato pie with garlic bread. It was served piping hot, well-presented, excellent portion served by a member of staff with great grace and care - as if in a proper restaurant. Best of all, it was full of flavour - lots of cheese! Pudding was pineapple and cherry cake with custard - delicious. A lovely day - thank you chef and staff!

Right from the start of our experience with Windermere, the staff were all clearly dedicated to their residents and to ensuring their stay was as enjoyable as possible. They were very kind to my mother while she was there and always patient and understanding, with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble and the overall ethos was relaxed and easy-going. The staff were keen for residents to be able to enjoy all of the many facilities and to have the freedom to do as much they they were able to while they live there. The management were always very understanding and helpful and responded to queries very promptly. The overall standards and the setting of Windermere House are lovely.

The gentle, kind and peaceful attitude of the staff is backed up and provided by a diligent professional manager. The home went to great lengths to ensure that Mum was cared for in the best way possible way. Most of my contact was with the manager. Regular phone calls and updates on Mum's progress and all questions answered to my satisfaction. Thanks to Manager.
