I cannot thank everyone at Burlington Care Home enough for the kindness, dignity, and compassion they showed my mum throughout her time there. From the very beginning, she was treated with genuine warmth, care, and respect, and in her final days the support given to both her and our family meant more than words can say.
A special thank you to Anna, whose compassion and kindness brought us so much comfort during such a difficult time. She always took the time to listen, reassure us, and make sure Mum was comfortable and cared for with dignity and love.
The staff were attentive, patient, and truly cared about Mum as a person, not just a resident. Knowing she was safe, comfortable, and surrounded by people who genuinely cared gave us great peace.
We were also able to visit at any time, including grand/greatgrand children and family pets.

We will always be grateful for the comfort and reassurance shown to Mum and our family in her final days . Thank you, Alec & family

Mum moving into residential care was never something I'd ever thought would happen but it was made easier by the care she received from all carers and staff.

The help and advice from Anna and her team was especially appreciated and we all had peace of mind being able to visit whenever we wanted with all family members being made welcome, even the furry four legged ones.

Since moving my Mum into Burlington from her previous care home, she has been much more settled, a lot happier and participates in the activities making her day more fun.

The team at Burlington, from the manager, care team, kitchen and housekeeping staff are all caring, patient and considerate.

As a family we can't think of anywhere better for my Mum to be and would recommend Burlington to anyone looking for a safe, caring and compassionate care home for family members requiring dementia care.

My husband and I both visit our friend in Burlington Nursing & Residential Home, regularly (weekly).

She says she is very happy there. I am writing this review to let you know how impressed we are by the wonderful care and attention she receives. The staff are so very polite, caring, friendly and always cheerfull. We go every week and have been for over a year now and every time they come to the door to let us in, always a smile and friendly greeting and even are offered a cup of tea. Even though they are busy attending to the residents they are always the same - The manager, the care staff, the cleaners - all are wonderfully kind. A joy to see how they care for the residents.

The staff are amazing, poliet, freindly & welcoming. Going out of the way to make my father feel as comfortable & at home. Building trust and confidence to my father who was worried about going into care. Activity packs in rooms & weekly singers visiting the home. Plus the activities team playing games & ping pong ball. Faith the nurse provides reasurance with medical checks & medication on time. Ann the manager has gone above & beyond to explain everything and resolve all concerns.

My dad Pops went into the Burlington just 8 weeks ago due to the family support system breaking down at home.. the Burlington is not a purpose built home.. it's more of a home from home. The layout is simple but effective. Anna and her team work tirelessly to give comfort and care to all it's residences.. let's just say pop was a tricky customer and kept them on there toes..

He was also in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's and vascular dementia and having a TIA made things very difficult.. but what I will say is pop was given first class care.. his dignity was preserved and his feelings taken in to consideration. The nurses keep on top of everything and the care team offer gentle, calm and loving one to one care.. the food is good and can be altered to each persons needs. Tea coffee and biscuits are always available. I have spent hours working along side Anna and the team to ensure pops treatment.. we love you team Burlington.. and consider you part of our family..

Our friend has been with you for nearly two years. Whenever we visit he looks well cared for and is happy. Today we attended the Burlington annual fate. What a wonderful day. The sun was shining and all residents were so happy. The food and drink supplied was excellent. But more importantly we were so impressed by the dedication and hard work of all the staff. Nobody was left unattended. We would like to say a very big thank you to everyone. You are a credit to the care home sector.

I visit my dad at the home most weeks. I've definitely noticed an improvement in the homes appearance and in his care in part. I sometimes feel that there is not enough staff present and that the staff are very busy. My only concern recently was when I spoke to a nurse who seemed vague in her answers to my questions and did not have a direct plan of action with her concerns, not my concerns, in regard to dealing with my dads condition. I will be bringing this matter to the attention of the manager of the home.

I used to care for this resident when she was living in her own flat. We have kept in touch, and whenever I visit her at Burlington, what impresses me so much is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They are so hard-working and attentive. Thank you.

My nan has lived at Burlington Nursing & Residential Home for over a year and we are incredibly happy with the care she receives. Since the new management took over, the home has really improved.
The carers are kind, engaged and know how to care for each resident as an individual. They make us feel welcome in our visits and there is always someone to chat to should you have any concerns about your relative.
When my nan has been unwell, the nursing team have been quick to act and keep us well informed.
They also care about ensuring my nan has company and know her needs inside out. The activities have also really improved over the year and we enjoy seeing updates posted to social media of what she has been up to! The activity coordinator is fantastic and very caring.

It isn't an easy decision to put your relative into care however Burlington has made this easier by their kind approach and family feel to the home. My nan is very happy here!

Top team, they are always smiling, great standard of care is given to my mother, she feels safe and trusts the team. The only negative is because they are giving such a great level of care to the residents, they can be a bit slow opening the door!

Burlington Nursing & Residential Home is a nursing home that I am happy and relaxed to leave my son in their care, knowing he is safe and well and happy.
The staff are well-trained and caring and I couldn't ask for more.

Since arriving at Burlington Nursing & Residential Home, Mum has received a wonderful welcome and attentive care. It inevitably took a little while for Mum to become accustomed to her new home and particularly, the loss of independence that came with it. However, in the short time since Mum arrived, it has been very apparent that the manager sets the tone and it is a very positive, collaborative one in which Mum's care is openly discussed and we feel part of the team ensuring Mum has her needs fully catered for. The wider team at Burlington could not have done more to make her feel at home, encouraging her to decorate her room with personal items and to make that space her own. Importantly, the medical and nursing care has been exemplary and there is always a willingness to accommodate Mum's particular needs, such as getting to church or trips out to the shops when the weather permits. Burlington is a super place where Mum is safe, comfortable and increasingly happy as she continues to settle in.

My dad is so happy at Burlington Nursing & Residential Home, I could not wish for a better place for him. Since the new manager has taken over the home, the improvement has gone from a 5 to 10 out of 10 plus in all aspects. The food is so good and my dad, albeit he has dementia and was a very fussy eater, absolutely eats everything now. The staff are very welcoming, polite and caring to all residents and family who visit. I hope all this continues for the future.

I cannot say enough about this care home. It is like a home from home. I was so worried about my mum having to go into a nursing home but she has been at Burlington Nursing & Residential Home for eleven months now and gets such wonderful care. The carers are second to none and know how to cope with residents' different needs so well. The management team, kitchen staff (lovely food), housekeeping and maintenance are brilliant too. You are made to feel very welcome when visiting and are always able to speak to the manager or assistant manager. My mum is very happy here.

The care at this home is disgusting. My ex-partner was there from December 2022 forward to the 1st of September 2023. He has dementia. He fell down the stairs. My daughter got a phone call to say he was okay. Then got another call to say he had been taken to the hospital my daughter was never told by the home that this had happened. She only found out when she went to see her dad who told her! The paramedics raised safeguarding with CQC about the home and my family were not happy with any of the response from the manager. As a result of all this my daughter got an email to find another home for her dad from the owner. They need shutting down. I wonder how many other things have gone on in this home and been covered up.
