A mother of two, Anju joined Askham as an adaptation nurse having moved here from Southern India. Her personal journey enables her to be empathetic and understanding of staff at all levels in the organisation.
With a keen appreciation of compliance and the importance of regulations, she also ensures that her caring nature comes through in all decisions and interactions. Anju has led her unit through an intense development phase to become a dementia specialist home. As part of this, she brings the latest guidelines and best practices to the attention of her peer group.
Mav has joined Askham with a wealth of knowledge from the Health and Social Care Sector, having worked in senior management roles for several years, leading the safe growth and development of homes and providers to ensure maximised potential and best practices.
He has worked extensively as a Registered Manager, securing great outcomes in the sense of quality and compliance and community/resident involvement.

Training Manager, Michelle, has spent over 30 years’ in the care sector and as a leading industry Trainer. The two have always gone hand-in-hand for Michelle, who now brings her extensive knowledge and on-the-job experience to life for the benefit of those she trains at AVC.
A registered Dementia Champion, Michelle is skilled in Training Programme Design, Delivery, Coaching, Training Needs Analysis and QCF Assessing. Inspired by Askham’s mission – to become a centre of excellence for training, in the local community and beyond – Michelle now heads up the state-of-the art, on-site training facility.
Since joining the team at Askham, Michelle has proudly guided over 250 people through various courses, including Moving and Handling, First Aid, Infection Control, Safeguarding and End of Life.
