On arriving from New York to find my 90 yr old father far frailer than I'd thought I started the process of finding more help for him. From the very beginning Diane couldn't have been more accommodating The home feels Cosy and warm. The staff are permanently smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The activity staff are fantastic offering to take him to church when ready. They together are finding the routine that works for dad and even after three days he feels safe and secure. His room has gorgeous big bay windows and brings huge light into the room. All of the carers nurses are just amazing. You have no idea how this has made me feel living so far away from him. Thank you suncourt from the bottom of my heart. It was hard leaving him today xo and even then I got a hug from staff. .

Our family member was a resident for 5 yrs at Sun Court and we always felt that she got the best care and was very happy there: she was non-verbal but always smiled when one of the team came into the room. She was also non-mobile but never suffered with bed sores and was taken downstairs to participate in all the daily/regular activities and also to have lunch. The staff are soo caring and kind to both the residents and their families, and my Dad loved visiting to see and chat with the team as well.
The home manager, Bea and financial manager, Mike were very accessible and responsive to questions, suggestions, requests for help, as were the nursing team members.

Would highly recommend Sun Court - for the reasons above but also as it has a 'home from home', cosy, family feel to it.

Staff are very caring, gentle and kind. Perfect for our friend. We admire the activities and are so grateful our friend has a new chair which allows him access to the lovely rooms and garden. We happened to arrive (unannounced) at a snack tasting session- designed to have nice food and ensure proper calorie intake. We were impressed! Keep going. Well done!

Hubby spent his last few days at Sun Court and during this time his care was exemplary.
The room was bright yet cosy, staff were very professional but showed amazing empathy and always spoke with him, saying his name first so he knew they were talking to him.
Nothing was too much trouble - finding little things he might eat or drink, making sure he was always comfortable and never left for very long.
When he passed, the kindness and the respect shown to him was wonderful.
The staff took a lot of the responsibility for notifying relevant agencies, making sure everyone necessary was informed.
Their kindness to me was wonderful and helped make things easier.

Sun Court is not a super-modern, institution. It is a very lovely, comfortable Edwardian place that is home.

My late wife wa a resident in Sun Court Nursing Home for 14 months, suffering from Bowel cancer and Alzheimer's disease. During all of her stay she was bedridden, double incontinence and unable to feed herself. Nurse and staff gave her loving and devoted care without fail. My son and I visited the home every day during her stay and the manager, nurses and staff were like family, though bed bound throughout all of her stay she did not once suffer bed sores.

Excellent home. Amazing staff. Dad only spent 6 weeks here before passing but we were so pleased with the time, care, patience, support, respect and importantly kindness shown to him- from all staff: from the management, nurses, carers and activity coordinators to cleaners, kitchen staff and site staff. He enjoyed spending time with the care staff there, and always commented on how friendly they were and that "they're always smiling and happy." The adjustment to living in a nursing home was difficult but the staff were always accommodating and incredibly flexible to dad's evolving needs and very proactive in seeking communication with family to ensure they did the best by him. They supported the family well and advocated for dad when they had concerns around his changing needs. I spent many hours on most days at the home and saw how good staff were with all the other residents. We had confidence in the staff there that when we left each day, dad was in good hands. We can't thank them enough for how good they were with dad and how they made his last weeks as easy as they could have been for him. Thank you!

Because of his medical conditions, my uncle has not had an easy start to his life in a care home however all of the staff at Suncourt have worked tirelessly to ensure he has settled. They have been exemplary in making sure he has had good care from within the home but also from external care providers. They have been patient and diligent with him and he is now starting to become the person I remember and recognise. I truly believe this is down to the dedicated staff. I am very grateful for the way that they have looked after him and never once gave up on him. Everyone at the home is kind and friendly and the food is home cooked, delicious and there is plenty of it.

My dad entered Suncourt at very short notice due to the difficulties we were having managing his condition at home. They came to assess dad at very short notice at our home and were more than happy to welcome dad into Suncourt. He was extremely difficult, agitated and restless in the final weeks at home. The transfer process went smoothly. Upon his arrival he was placed into his own room, was assessed fully and received constant care. Within a couple of days that had adjusted his medication so he was far more settled and less restless. The staff were all very friendly and polite, quick to answer questions or find out answers. The pressure taken off my mum and ourselves was huge. The agitation within dad removed. For us this was massive. I can only thank them for their help and care of dad. I would recommend Suncourt to others in urgent need of assistance!

My husband has spent four weeks at Suncourt for a respite break. He was cared for exceptionally well, all staff were kind and attentive, the management went to a great deal of effort to ensure a proper care plan was in place. He felt safe and well cared for throughout his stay and hopes he can return in future for further respite. As his wife it was lovely knowing he was happy and well cared for.

I was very pleased with the care and support my late husband received during the short time he was at Sun Court. He was admitted for palliative/end-of-life care. The staff were very compassionate, caring, cheerful, and supportive of both of us. Nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel very welcome and included in my husband's care. My husband enjoyed his stay at Sun Court and said his care could not have been better. Although not a purpose-built home, it was always clean and welcoming with a lovely homely feel. The food was excellent.

Our dear father was a resident for just over two years, unfortunately, he passed away in early December. The care and support provided at that difficult time were exemplary, as was the care throughout his stay. Our father was treated with the utmost respect, dignity, cheerfulness, and empathy.

The staff, from the manager to the catering, cleaning, and maintenance, excellent carers, and amazing nurses made our father's time as a resident a happy and comfortable one. The staff were very accommodating to our father's needs and wishes, always looking for ways to help and support him. We were always made to feel most welcome when we visited and became part of the care home family.

We were very pleased when we arrived. Everything looked clean. The staff were on hand and the care and attention has continued throughout her stay. We are very happy and more importantly, so is she. During December, the home was decorated beautifully, including crafts led by the activities coordinator. She has been a wonderful asset to the home, taking residents shopping for presents and finding activities to engage all interests and abilities with a limited budget. The home is not purpose-built, but homely and recently redecorated. The staff are all very caring, some issues with limited language and daily chatter ability are slowly being addressed, and managers are aware of cultural differences when employing foreign staff.
