My mother has been a resident at Highcroft for seven years. I have visited her at least three times a week before Covid-19 and in that time I have found that the home is run to an extremely high standard. I would highly recommend it anyone needing care.

My mother seems very content.

We have been visiting Highcrodt nursing home on a weekly basis from April 2015 until August 2020 to see a neighbour and a friend. We have been impressed by the excellent standard of care provided by the home. Our late friend used to enjoy going on cruises, and we would compare her room with a cabin. The home was very clean, and the decor was changed accordingly to the seasons. In summary, the home does not have the ambience of a care home, but rather that of a high-class hotel, while still providing outstanding nursing care.

We have been visiting a resident for approximately 2 years and have always commented on the bright cleanliness and attention to detail we have experienced. Always beautifully decorated according to the season/festival. The food looks wonderful and the dining room looks like a 'classy' restaurant. Staff are kind and friendly although some of the best have had to be repatriated. Some rooms are a little small.

My Mum received fantastic care during her time at Highcroft Nursing Home.
There is a lovely atmosphere in the home.
Nothing is ever too much trouble, the staff are genuinely caring and the standard of care is outstanding.
The food is always freshly prepared, the rooms are kept spotless.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home from home.

Mum was moved from another care home as she kept falling. We searched the whole area and found Highcroft to be far the best- it was light and bright, immaculately clean, smelled fresh and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and very kind to mum. Unfortunately mum died last week but their care was beyond reproach.

Overall Experience

Mum was well cared for, comfortable and even though she was blind and deaf her clothes were always colour coordinated. We never saw stain on her clothes, her hair was well kept and her nails were cared for and polished. The home never knew when we were going in. They kept us informed of her health so we were able to be with her when necessary. She received excellent care and passed away peacefully in the home she knew.

Overall Experience

Excellent nursing home providing a safe, clean and healthy environment for the elderly. Ongoing investment in the property is evident with updates such as decorating, furniture, decorations etc. carried out on a regular basis. Care is of a high standard, although attention to detail of individual needs could be improved i.e. cleaning of spectacles, ensuring hearing aids are functioning properly, loosening shoes when feet swell. Overall I believe this is one of the best care homes in Weston-Super-Mare.

I cannot speak highly enough about Highcroft. The ambience is excellent, far from a typical nursing home. The owners and staff always reflect a professional, caring and kind regime which places the needs and foibles of residents apparent. Nothing is too much trouble. In two years staff turnover has been low. Time is always made for discussing anything with residents and family. Care is altered to individual needs, with complex needs being met and exceeded. The Highcroft team care. All of them. It shows in every way, every day.

Overall Experience
My Mother is 92 years of age and has resided at Highcroft for two years.
When she first arrived in September 2013 she was very thin, dehydrated and depressed, I was very concerned; I wanted the best for Mum and needed help and advice quickly.

Luckily for us, someone highly recommended Highcroft, the proprietor really put herself out for Mum and agreed to provide Mum with a lovely room the very next day. After a couple of weeks, the change in Mum was fantastic, she was eating, sleeping well and talking again, she has gained a very healthy weight with the lovely home cooked food and is happy and contented and has made new friends. Lovely to see her smiling again!

She tells me that the staff are very kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble.
Whenever I visit Mum I find the standard of care is outstanding, the staff friendly and kind, the whole house is clean and fresh, beautifully decorated and furnished and the home cooked food is delicious.

When I walked into Highcroft that first day I knew from first impressions that I could relax in my mind knowing Mum would receive the best of care and attention.

Overall Experience

Mum is receiving end of life palliative care and her worsening condition confines her to bed. As such she is not able to use the wider facilities or participate in activities at Highcroft. However we are very satisfied with the standard of care she receives. The quality of the environment and the compassion and consideration shown to her and her family when visiting. The staff are friendly and approachable. The building environment is at a very high standard of decoration and cleanliness.
