My dear mum spent the final (almost) twelve months of her life at Mount Elton Nursing home, sadly dying after her 102nd birthday. The team provided outstanding care throughout mum's stay. From our initial contact and all subsequent visits to see mum we were made to feel welcome. The senior managers built an instant rapport with mum from initial assessment, with mum developing lovely relationships with all the nursing and support staff who would pop in to chat with her. Any queries or concerns from mum or family were instantly addressed. Care (health, personal care and social needs) was delivered with not just professional expertise but with kindness and tenderness. She was so well looked after, always clean, warm, comfortable and well fed. The level of care increased further over mum's final weeks when she became bedbound and completely dependent. My family and I are indebted to the wonderful team for their support to us; it was like being in a family home. Thank you.
My father admitted himself to Mount Elton Nursing Home in November when his personal care needs increased due to a drop in his general health. My father loved the care he received in the home and was always complimentary about the great service he received from the staff. He felt safe, warm, and cared for. He always worried about being alone at home and was very reassured to be somewhere where he knew he was being looked after. he liked the room he stayed in and bonded with a number of the care team
From the outset, the entire staff team could not have been more accommodating, welcoming and kind towards my mum and ourselves.
Although they were very professional they also managed to make the home feel just that, a home where we could visit at any time. Mum didn't get to join in many of the activities as she was too unwell but on the day she did she was clearly enjoying herself.
Even the handyman came to talk to Mum and ourselves.
At the very end, they invited us to stay with Mum overnight if we wanted and made us tea and coffee.
Thank you to all the staff team for the kindness and compassion they showed towards Mum and all our family.
We sincerely appreciate your kind words and positive feedback. It brings us great joy to know that you are pleased with the level of care your mother recieved and that you recognize the dedication and compassion of our staff. Ensuring the highest quality of care for all our residents is our top...
I cannot thank the team at Mount Elton enough for the incredible care and support they provided to my dad and our family. From the moment we entered, the warmth and kindness of the staff made us feel like we were among friends. Their genuine compassion and personalised approach turned what could have been a challenging transition into a hugely positive experience. The dedication of the Mount Elton team went beyond the call of duty. They took the time to know my dad on a personal level, tailoring their care to his unique needs. It is not just a place; it's become a home filled with laughter, companionship and genuine connections. The staff's commitment to creating a caring environment made a significant difference in my dad's well-being. We are truly grateful for Mount Elton and the incredible impact they've had on our lives. Thank you all so very much for what you did for him.
Thank you very much for taking time to leave your review. Thank you also for your positive comments regarding our home and the team. It means a lot to all of us. It was a pleasure to care for your father here at Mount Elton and be part of his and yours lives. It was so nice to meet all of you and to share special moments with your family. Thank you for choosing our Home.
I moved my mother to Mount Elton in June 2022 as her ailing health required 24/7 nursing care. It was the best decision, and Mum settled in quickly and was clearly happy. I was able to call and speak to the nursing staff at any time for updates and see/chat with my mother regularly via FaceTime or Skype, which was a huge bonus for both her and me. All staff, including the administration staff, treated me with kindness and support, and I was notified quickly when my mother's health deteriorated. I spent the last three days of her life beside her, and the nursing staff were absolutely outstanding in their care, compassion and dedication to my mother's needs. All of the staff that I encountered were highly professional and very kind. The meals are superb and prepared with fresh ingredients daily, and the house and gardens are bright and quiet. I can recommend Mount Elton unreservedly to anyone seeking the best nursing care in a safe, small, comfortable and quiet environment.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. we will share this with our amazing team.
It is nice to hear that our team effort has been appreciated by your mum and yourself.
Thank you so much for your recommendation.
What a wonderful care home this is, inside and out, and set in beautiful surroundings! We wanted to move my wife away from the noise and bustle of a hospital award to somewhere quiet where she would be well cared for in peaceful surroundings. The whole transfer was organised within a day by the home's caring and sensitive management team and the level of care my wife received whilst at Mount Elton was exceptional. This was just what we were looking for and as a family, we were able to spend some quality time together at a special time for us all. We have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone looking for somewhere special for a loved one.
Would recommend this nursing home to anyone.
