For me personally, my experience has always been very good and regarding my disability I feel that I have been fully catered for and encouraged to be as independent as is possible. I feel that I have been treated with total respect and equality, I don't think I'll ever find a better care home,
The Elms Care Centre is excellent, I visit most days and I am very happy with the care my husband receives. All the staff are so caring nothing is too much trouble for them. I have no concerns about the care he receives, which is a great comfort to me.
The home itself has a lovely warm homely feel to it and is beautifully decorated and clean as pin.
My Mum was used to living alone and I was absolutely certain she would spend most the time in her own room doing her own thing but to my surprise she rarely chooses to go there and in stead spends most of her time in one of the lounges, happy to be amidst the staff and residents.
She is happy and feels safe and cared for. I am allowed to visit whenever I like and I too am always made to feel welcome and a part of their family.
I genuinely can't recommend them enough.
My cousin has been a resident of The Elms Care Centre for the last fifteen months, I really can't praise them enough, the staff are second to none, so caring, nothing too much trouble for them, from nursing staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, caring staff to office staff, all interact with residents which I think is just lovely. I can visit at anytime, within reason, and always made to feel welcome. The icing on the cake was when I took her to her bungalow (where her daughter still lives), after an hour she said, "I'm ready to go home now", to me that spoke volumes, that's how well she settled in and that is all down to the kindness of all the staff.
I can't thank the care staff and activities ladies enough for making this happen. So very grateful to have this lovely memory.
My sister has been a resident at the care home for over three years. She is not always an easy person to get on with but has always had the very best care. I visit every week, and, as a retired deputy head, I am well used to assessing buildings, staff and facilities, and have always seen only the best. My sister is clean, well-dressed, 'aroma' free and I am so pleased she is cared for as she is. It takes a huge weight off my mind as I have Power of Attorney both financially and for health.
She is well enough to return home now, gained a few pounds and looks better than she had for months.
The Elms is not a purpose-built modern home but it's quirky and clean - we wanted for nothing.
Highly recommend, thank you to you all.
The Elms is a very caring home with lovely staff, who go above and beyond with their residents.
The team at The Elms Care Home are committed to providing excellent care to all the residents and this is evident in all the attention and kindness shown to each individual. The Elms is a happy environment and all the team interact with residents, making their lives as good as they can be.
My mother has been a resident at The Elms for four years, and I am very happy with the care that has been given to her, especially during the Covid pandemic. Previous to this, she has always been well cared for, her room is clean, and all her needs ate provided. I am now able to visit her once a week, although she no longer knows who I am, it is still nice to see her!
Mum was happy, well looked after. I felt at ease that she was being looked after. Every time I popped over to see her the staff took time to talk to me. If Mum needed to go into a home full time I wouldn't hesitate asking The Elms to take her.
Excellent staff across the whole business. Food and service very good. Comfortable.
Dad was very happy at The Elms. He was treated with dignity and respect and all the staff were helpful and genuinely cared for him. We were grateful to know he was safe and being looked after as we live a long way away.
Caring, friendly and the food is excellent. I would not mind being in this care home if something happened to me.
Well looked after with all my needs met.
They do their best - more staff would help.
Since my mother has been a resident of The Elms Care Centre we have been frequent visitors and have always found the staff helpful, we are very happy with the standard of care which my mother is receiving.
I think the home is very helpful. My friend has stayed several times and always liked the home and staff. If I have to go into a home this would be it.
The Elms Care Centre staff are friendly and caring. The meals are excellent and there are always drinks available. There are activities including live music and trips out in the minibus. I would recommend The Elms Care Centre to friends and relatives.
All staff are, in my opinion, very helpful and very efficient in all duties. In my time of need, help and advice is to hand at all times. A very friendly and efficient team at all times.
