The centre includes two units: St Francis, offering nursing care for up to 40 residents with complex needs, and Meadowside, providing residential care for up to 29 individuals. Both units offer a calm, safe, and supportive environment where people are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

St Francis Nursing Unit

The St Francis Nursing Unit delivers complex clinical and respiratory care. The team supports individuals with needs such as tracheostomy care, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, stroke rehabilitation, MSA, MND, Parkinson’s disease, COPD, spinal injuries, and end-of-life or palliative care. Each resident receives a personalised, clinically informed care plan reflecting their medical needs, preferences, and long-term goals.

Meadowside Residential Unit

The Meadowside residential unit provides complex residential care for individuals with long-term conditions, mobility challenges, and significant support needs that do not require 24-hour nursing. Staff promote independence, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement, helping residents maintain autonomy and a fulfilling daily life.

Care across both units is delivered by an experienced multidisciplinary team. Staff receive ongoing specialist training to ensure care remains safe, responsive, and evidence-based while building strong, supportive relationships with residents.

The centre works closely with families, respiratory specialists, community nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and strong clinical oversight. Alongside clinical expertise, the service prioritises comfort, emotional wellbeing, and opportunities for meaningful activity, helping individuals live as independently and fully as possible.
