Walking into the building to be greeted by an amazing receptionist is a fantastic start. The staff my dad has dealings with are fantastic, amazing, Olympia, Catherine, Donna, too many to name, but all amazing cleaners and kitchen staff are all good. My Dad is very happy. Having the majority of the same
staff to help my Dad helps him. Shouts out to Anne (white Jacket), Donna, lead carer and Gaby.

I cannot speak more highly enough of Meadowside and St Francis. From the moment mum arrived, I knew she was in the best hands. The staff are amazing, kind and professional. They are genuinely caring. They have great compassion, bringing immense peace of mind to the family. The home is welcoming and
a clean enviroment. They truly care for their residents. The only negative I have is the entry evening and weekends. The bell is not working, and you could be waiting quite a while till someone passes to gain entry.
Reply from Jenna Richards, Registered Manager at Meadowside & St FrancisThank you for sharing your feedback with us. We truly value all feedback as it helps us to continuously improve our service.

We acknowledge that evening access has been an issue, and this is something we are actively addressing. We are currently recruiting to ensure consistent coverage, with a staff member available 7 days a week during evening hours.

We hope you will soon notice a positive difference, and we appreciate your patience while these improvements are being implemented.

I like Meadowside Care Home and have had other family members live there. But I feel that the home is tired all round. The staff are lovely, helpful and work hard. I feel more care needs to be taken in what food is given, and is what was ordered. Named clothing returned and not 'lost'. General decor
is dark and needs brightening up. Visitors not to be left waiting to enter the building as no one answers the door bell.
Reply from Jenna Richards, Registered Manager at Meadowside & St FrancisHi Fiona,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Your feedback is very important to us.

We are currently undergoing refurbishment, so you should soon begin to notice improvements in our dcor. I will also ensure your comments regarding food and clothing are passed on to the relevant team.

Please don't hesitate to speak with me directly if you would like to discuss anything further.

We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

I wanted to express on behalf of my wonderful mum, who sadly passed away whilst staying with you for palliative care after a series of life changing strokes, and my brothers Mike and Frank, that we were very grateful for the support and high quality care that you gave mum during the final months of
her life. We were initially very concerned when she was taken into care from the hospital, but were immediately comforted once we arrived at Three Corners Nursing Home. You were all outstanding in the care provided her and we were touched by your genuine affection for mum. The home was clean, cosy and comfortable and mum was always dressed in her own laundered clean clothes. Thank you for looking after her from the bottom of our hearts. I would highly recommend your nursing home for anyone who needs this type of assistance and their families. Best wishes to you all, Alyson, daughter of Kathxxx

My mum was a resident here until she passed away last month and I will be forever grateful for the care and compassion shown to her - and to us as a family. During her final week, the team went above and beyond in ways we will never forget. They welcomed me, my niece and my brother-in-law to stay in
her room so we could be together. Not only did they make space for us, but they also provided meals each day. That kindness meant more than words can express. Thank you for caring not just for my mum, but for all the family. Your compassion made an unbearable time a little easier, and we will always remember it.

I personally cannot fault Three Corners Nursing Home. Every department works to a very high standard, and the overall level of care is excellent.
My experience with the management and administration team has been very positive. They are kind, approachable, and always willing to help.
The food is also
a real highlight. Ingredients are sourced from local butchers and fruit and vegetable shops, and the menu offers a great variety of options for residents.
The activities provided are excellent and are thoughtfully planned to suit all residents, with consideration given to different cultural and diverse backgrounds.
The home itself is very well maintained, clean, and tidy, creating a pleasant environment for everyone.

My godmother came to Blackdown in August 2024 she had severe dementia and was bed bound except for a few occasions when the staff were able to get her seated, unfortunately she passed in January 2026.
The care she received was excellent, the staff were always polite and "caring". The communication
with myself was prompt, polite and once again "caring".
Thank you to the team for helping my godmother and myself during this journey.

After suffering a stroke, my father was afraid to go home. He wanted to go to Hill House because he knew he would be safe and well cared for there. His late wife, my mother, received excellent care during the last years of her life at Hill House, and he quality of life was greatly improved. Once again,
Hill House provided excellent care for my father. My family and I are extremely grateful. Hill House feels like home away from home, and the staff feel like an extended family. They are kind, caring, and welcoming. Thanks to all at Hill House for the amazing work that you do!

My father was cared for with kindness and respect. He was always given a shave and put in clean clothes every day. He was always happy and smiling, which was down to the hard work all the staff and activities done at the home. My dad enjoyed the food and drinks lots of variety. They also monitor the
food and drink to know if they need to change it. In my dads case he had to go from solids to smooth due to his health issues. All staff are lovely and friendly.

I came to visit my nan - Shirley. Her personal care was done with dignity, immaculately clean and dressed. Julie made us welcome, her and Holly very professional and make the residents feel special and truly loved. Lovely to see the memory books, special touches with decor (autumnal/Halloween), soft
furnishings. Drinks/snacks plentiful & offered regularly. Daily activities/entertainment to a very high standard. Extremely clean throughout communal areas & Nan's bedroom. Safety is second to non - very important with residents. Beautiful outside area/enclosed for security. Our minds are at ease knowing Nan is well looked after. Thank you all.
