I have found the staff very caring and happy. I am very impressed with how this home is run. I always get follow-up letters and calls when something is wrong with the resident.

My brother has only been a resident at the care home for 3 months and due to Covid-19 I have only recently been able to visit him, and then it has had to be outside, of course.

I, therefore, cannot comment on rooms, facilities, food and drink etc. Whenever I have spoken to the staff, they have always been courteous and helpful and my brother seems to be quite content.

Always very friendly. Everyone is very approachable and if they can't help you, they always find someone who can. The atmosphere is always very relaxed and welcoming.
If we've ever had any concerns over our brother, it's been dealt with very quickly.
They always keep us informed of any other health problems by phone. They tell us if he's seen the doctor or anyone else and for what reason. Like we always say, it's not a top of the range home, but it is so homely and caring, which counts for everything.

If I could suggest any one thing, it would be a bit more of a selection of green vegetables with the meals (cooked soft of course)

I am only able to visit my mother annually but always find her happy and well cared for. She never complains of loneliness or lack of company and is happy. She is allowed to do as she wishes - no hard and fast rules.

The staff at Waterloo Care Home are both empathetic and sympathetic and undertake their jobs with true professionalism. My mother has been a resident at the home for over two years and I continue to be reassured that she receives the care she needs for her dementia. Living quite a distance away from the home my visits are not frequent, but the carers keep me up to date with any fluctuations in my mother's health. I would highly recommend a visit to this home.

At Waterloo Care Home my mother was happy and well cared for. There was always something to join in with plenty of cake and treats. The staff always new details of mums care and activities due to their small friendly atmosphere.

The staff at my father's care home were very professional and took great care of him until his recent death. They were often working in difficult circumstances but still managed to go the extra mile wherever they could. As the last few weeks of his life were during the lockdown because of the Coronavirus, we found it very comforting that the staff kept us very much informed in my father's health and comforted him and chatted to him right up until his last breath. Thank you so much to all concerned.

Having had to make a difficult decision of putting a loved one into a care home - I couldn't fault the care and kindness of the staff and management.
Not only did they care for a loved one they also reassure that the relatives were put at ease too.
I have no hesitation in recommending the care home to family, friends, etc.

Thank you Waterloo Care Home.

Although the building is a little tired and the ventilation and heating could be improved, the staff more than makeup for it. The manager is excellent, as are her staff. My father is well cared for and we can be safe in the knowledge he is being expertly and sensitively looked after.

My mother, who has bad Alzheimer's, has been resident for about five weeks and has flourished under the care of Waterloo. Her partner, who was very ill at the time, was discharged from hospital to join her, but sadly, due to his general ill health, died just over a week ago. I was with them both the day before he died. The end of life care the carers gave to him was impeccable, sympathetic, gentle and caring. He was in the best place possible. They are attending brilliantly to my mother, ensuring she gets up and eats and drinks regularly. And when I visit her it is obvious that she is benefiting hugely from being in Waterloo. Thank you so much.

Waterloo Care Home is very friendly well staffed and I feel my aunt is very well looked after. It would be good to have more activities for the residents as I feel the biggest problem is boredom, but I fully appreciate it takes funding to provide any extra services such as this.

My husband was here and the staff are amazing. Always a happy place to visit and a homely feel. I never worried about the care he received, I know it's first class when I'm not there. Thank you Waterloo Care Home.

The care provided for my mother is good. She is happy and all her needs are met. The staff are patient and communicate effectively with me if there are worries or important changes. There is a range of activities on offer to the residents. The most important thing for me is that I am free from worry about my mother's safety and welfare. The food provided is excellent - meals are varied and nutritious. Family (including dogs) are always made to feel welcome.
