I am paralysed from the neck down and lived there for 12 plus years. It used to be excellent until it was taken over by a new owner and new management a few years back. At this point, it became clear that care was secondary to making money. My attempts to discuss my issues were dealt with appallingly and I was blatantly lied to by the Manager. The food was downgraded, my health needs weren't being met and I ended up in hospital as a result. Thankfully, I moved to a new care home when I was discharged but Branksome Park have not managed to send all my important, precious belongings and documents; By the end of my stay, it felt more worse than a prison. Even the freedom of speech of the patients, as well as caregivers, is taken away along with the implementation of so many dont's instead of lots of positive do's. And that's why almost all regular caregivers and other staff members left this place.
Therefore, I would advise anyone considering Branksome Park Care Home to think again very seriously.

Luxurycare is a known company around Dorset for its Core values which put the people under our care and the care we provide as a priority. Unfortunately, we felt that we couldn't meet some of your expectations. We offered many options to ease the transition of your move from the hospital to your new home and the entire team tried to support you in your move but as we explained we were unable to comply with some of your requests that should now be met by your new home. We are happy that you found a place to live where you will feel happier. Regarding your belongings, we are happy to confirm that everything on your inventory document completed by the previous owner was returned to you; we are sorry that you feel that some of them were missing.
We are always open to feedback and finding ways to improve our service based on reviews that reflect the truth.
