Staff and management are always really supportive and friendly, and Nan's always well looked after. Nan has a special diet which is always catered for, and the home is always realy clean and tidy. Never had any issues. Nan has been at Saintbridge now for nearly ten years.

My mother was a resident from June 22nd until November 23rd, when she passed. Whilts a resident, my mother received exemplary care in the last months of her life. All members of staff are very friendly and caring to the residents and families alike whilst maintaining a professional standard. Nothing
was too much trouble ever.

My brother and I looked for a suitable home for mum and we chose Saintbridge House Nursing & Residential Home due to the fact it was spotlessly clean, well decorated and had very competent, friendly staff to cover all of its residents' requirements. My mother was welcomed into the home in June 2019
as she was struggling at home and was very confused and lonely. She was very upset having to leave her home but the staff made her very welcome. Within a week Mum had settled in and very quickly blossomed. All the concerns and frustration she had prior to entering the home disappeared. Mum had very bright and cheeky personality and became quite a celebrity in the home. The home has regular activities with visiting vocal artists to keep the residents happy. During Mum's last few weeks we were allowed in to see her any time. This was an incredibly difficult time but all of the staff could not have been kinder and we will be forever grateful to all that Saintbridge house staff did for our dear Mum.

The staff are wonderful, welcoming and helpful, backed up by an excellent Manager with medical qualifications and a fabulously helpful support staff. This home is a breath of fresh air, the decor, the ambience, the homeliness, the colours and wall decorations, the light, the cleanliness and the accommodations
are second to none. This home should be rated Excellent for both its facilities and its standard of care. I can wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who is searching for a special home for a loved one, having been there at all hours before and after work, during the day, quite late in the evening and most of the weekends. Everyone will go above and beyond to assist and to care for the residents - the compassion and love shown by staff is very moving. I have every faith in Saintbridge, both now in these difficult times and going forward and feel very blessed that my dear mother is a resident, albeit very noisy and active some days! I am so looking forward to visiting again.

Although my father was a resident here only for the last few months of his life, the care and medical attention he received during this time was excellent.
It was most impressive the way the staff took time simply to talk to him and constantly check on his state and requirements.
The environment
was modern, light, friendly and extremely clean, with a range of communal areas and well-equipped individual rooms with en suite bathrooms, as well as attractive views over the gardens.
Doctors and dentists were quickly called in as required. My father“s medical state was carefully monitored, and immediate steps are taken if necessary. Every attempt was made by all the staff to make him feel as comfortable as possible at all times. Both the staff and management were always available to provide information and discuss his situation.
This professionally run care home deserves the highest recommendation.

Absolutely fantastic home. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a nursing or residential home for their loved one.
The first thing you notice when you walk in is that all the staff are smiling and don't look rushed off their feet. You are always greeted politely and more importantly,
with a smile!
The next thing you notice is that there is always a pleasant smell throughout the care home, unlike some other homes that I have visited in Gloucester.
Care staff, nursing staff and the cleaners and kitchen staff, as well as the management, are always approachable and we are always kept fully updated about our uncle.
An "Outstanding" home - keep up the good work!

As a clergyman, I visit care homes regularly. My mother was resident at this home for the last 6 years of her life. She had suffered from dementia for 13 years until her recent death. The quality of her care was unreservedly outstanding in every respect. The management and care team is both professional
and yet personal. The ratio of carers is high and each resident is treated with dignity, compassion, cheerfulness and great patience.

The home has an air of optimism. It is bright, well equipped, decorated and extremely clean. The quality of food is outstanding. Individual rooms as also well equipped and personal. My father visited the home daily to see his wife and was treated as a personal friend by the staff.
Mum's medical condition was overseen so well and was the result of both knowledge and experience.

I can honestly say that the family has no criticism whatsoever and recommends this home unreservedly. It was always a joy to visit the home. Thank you so much.

My brother and I would not hesitate to recommend Saintbridge House Nursing & Residential Home.
Our mother spent nearly 5 years in Saintbridge House and it was very much her 'home'. The staff were nearly all regulars which says a lot and they became very familiar and almost part of the family to our
mother whilst giving her excellent care and attention. She was not always the easiest of residents but she was always treated with respect, patience and with a smile. Her complex care needs were understood and treated with the competence that comes from a mixture of specialised training and genuine care. Well done Saintbridge House and thank you.

As a family, we were impressed from the start by the professional yet relaxed attitude of all the staff. It was always easy to communicate with everybody and discuss any issues that were raised and we feel that Dad's well-being, as a whole, was a priority. Though it would always have been impossible
to find the perfect solution to his problems and needs, his stay at Saintbridge House was the best solution in the circumstances. He had the opportunity, as far as possible, to maintain his own sense of character and be himself and we found the staff accommodating, cheerful, caring, respectful and attentive. From our experience, the consistency of the staff and their high numbers also suggests that the emphasis at Saintbridge House is on care, both for the residents and the employees. It seems from our perspective to be a happy place to live and to work. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

I had never visited a care/residential home before going to Saintbridge. My Mum needed care so I looked around for a care home for her. As soon as I walked into Saintbridge it felt "right". The staff were friendly and the Manager very helpful and approachable. The home is bright and airy with a large
dining room, beautiful conservatory, extensive grounds and "quiet" rooms for privacy if required. There is an excellent social team for outings etc and through fund raising they have their own minibus for these trips. There are choices of meals and all rooms are spacious and en-suite. Mum passed away in November 2015 but while she was there she was treated with respect and had excellent care from friendly excellent staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for a place for elderly relatives. It was a lovely time for Mum while she was there.

Overall a well run establishment. Staff are always ready to help and are very pleasant all the time. Activities of some sort are daily and trips out to garden centres, social club (for bingo etc.) are twice weekly.
One small downside, management is thin on the ground at weekends, although a qualified
nurse is always on duty.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.739)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.739) out of 10 for Saintbridge House Nursing & Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.914 for Saintbridge House Nursing & Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (139 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 152 Ratings = 4.914
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.825 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Saintbridge House Nursing & Residential Home is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 registered maximum number of service users is 7.2, which has been reached with 13 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
