Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. At Elliscombe House, we love personal special dates and as a team we truly enjoy supporting our residents to celebrate, bringing family and friends together. It was extremely important to us that mum felt in control planning her party, we are truly delighted we achieved everything she wished for & a good time was had by all. I will pass on your kind words to the staff team.
Thank you Sara for taking the time to write such a lovely review, feedback is extremely important to us. We are truly pleased your mother settled into Elliscombe House with ease. As a staff team, it is extremely important to us that our residents feel included in their care and are offered choice throughout. We are so pleased that your mother chooses to take part in many activities, including late-night get-togethers. Prior to opening Elliscombe House the staff team created our core values and have worked hard to embed these in their practice. It is so refreshing to hear 'nothing appears to be too much trouble'. I will pass on your kind words to the staff team.
Thank you Barbara for such a lovely review, it is lovely to hear you have always felt welcome when visiting. At Elliscombe House we strongly encourage our residents to be part of their care and work hard to support personal needs and preferences. It is great to hear we are achieving this with your friend. Our activities plans are resident-led and we have certainly had a busy few months with events - lots of laughing! I am pleased your friend has enjoyed these. I will pass on your kind words to the staff team.
Thank you Caroline for taking the time to leave this lovely feedback. We understand the environment can impact both mental and physical well-being and work hard to provide a calming, bright environment. When opening Elliscombe House, as a management team we aimed to embed a whole-home approach, paying particular attention to the finer details and it is so refreshing to hear we are achieving this. I will pass on your kind words to the team and wish you all well.
Thank you Anna for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. It is of the utmost importance to us as a nursing team that our residents are treated as individuals and that the care and support provided is tailored to their needs. Understanding one's frustrations due to an accident was valuable learning for the staff team and I am proud they adapted and took this in their stride. We feel honoured to have been part of your mother's successful recovery and send you all our best wishes. I will pass on your kind words to the staff team.

Amy relocated from London 3 years ago and says that she is never going back! She is a registered adult nurse and spent 11 years in the NHS in both clinical and service improvement roles. These included setting up an Integrated NHS service, which she then worked in and which is still in operation.
Amy is passionate about end-of-life care and has worked as an end-of-life educator in Somerset. She also loves musicals and often sings terribly (her words, not ours) to the residents.
Amy’s favourite colour is leopard print, and she has a rescue sausage dog called Frankie who loves cuddles, bacon, and visiting her adoptive grannies and grandads at Elliscombe House.

Hi, my name is Ben & I am the Head Chef at Elliscombe House.
I trained at Somerset College, progressing my catering career from kitchen porter to head chef. I have managed several professional kitchens, predominantly in fine dining restaurants and the gastro-pub industry.
On any given day, I can be found creating dishes such as roasted venison loin, truffle butternut puree, celeriac fondants with a chocolate jus, or local pheasant breast, leg bon bon, pickled red cabbage & caramelised apple with a truffle dressing. I truly believe the most delicious cuisine is made simply with the best, fresh, high quality ingredients.
