Amy relocated from London 3 years ago and says that she is never going back! She is a registered adult nurse and spent 11 years in the NHS in both clinical and service improvement roles. These included setting up an Integrated NHS service, which she then worked in and which is still in operation.
Amy is passionate about end-of-life care and has worked as an end-of-life educator in Somerset. She also loves musicals and often sings terribly (her words, not ours) to the residents.
Amy’s favourite colour is leopard print, and she has a rescue sausage dog called Frankie who loves cuddles, bacon, and visiting her adoptive grannies and grandads at Elliscombe House.

Hi, my name is Ben & I am the Head Chef at Elliscombe House.
I trained at Somerset College, progressing my catering career from kitchen porter to head chef. I have managed several professional kitchens, predominantly in fine dining restaurants and the gastro-pub industry.
On any given day, I can be found creating dishes such as roasted venison loin, truffle butternut puree, celeriac fondants with a chocolate jus, or local pheasant breast, leg bon bon, pickled red cabbage & caramelised apple with a truffle dressing. I truly believe the most delicious cuisine is made simply with the best, fresh, high quality ingredients.
