As part of their household model of care, they don’t believe in having set visiting hours – you should be able to visit your relatives or friends whenever you like, just as you would if they were living in their own home. You are welcome to visit day and night, and the team encourage you to feel comfortable and treat it as an extension of your loved one’s home. They recommend calling in advance so they can make sure that it doesn’t clash with any trips out or doctors appointments.

The food is excellent and I am often treated to a meal when I visit that I would happily pay for at any restaurant.
The manager is really friendly and makes everyone welcome.
I cannot recommend the home enough! My only complaint is that the chef should make the slices of chocolate cake slightly smaller as my waistline has definitely expanded since visiting!

He has twice finished runner at the Veggie for Life Awards, firstly in 2018 and again in 2020. He was nominated for his broad ranging recipes featuring a wide range of flavours from a variety of cultures that offer worldly taste experiences alongside the comforts of good home cooked food.
Ben says, “Everyone should be treated equally and to me whatever somebody wants, they get! Everyone is unique and has different likes/dislikes and it’s those two things that are most important to us at Frome. Alongside this, we like to make sure everyone feels happy and valued!
“At Frome we believe the people we care for, who need a specialised textured diet should be eating just as well as everyone else. I’ll pipe and puree versions of dishes on the Frome menu so that those who live with Dysphagia are able to enjoy just as delicious and aesthetically pleasing food. Our food quality doesn’t discriminate, whatever a person’s individual needs.”
He has also managed to keep our five-star food hygiene rating for the past 8 years!
