Bloomfield Unit supports adults living with a primary functional mental health diagnosis such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia with co-occurring physical health needs and/or long-term health conditions.
A nurse-led team supports people at Parkside, including mental health and general registered nurses, as well as therapy staff.
The team uses positive behaviour support and a person-centred approach to tailor each individual’s support around their personal goals - from building independence to engaging in hobbies or community outreach.
Parkside supports people to maintain community connections and family ties while receiving high-acuity nursing support.

They let me know straightaway of any incidents that may happen either in the home or to my husband. I like it that you can visit anytime of day and night and that there is always a nurse on 24 hours. My son started residence at Parkside in late January and my daughter and I are so happy that he did! He has now settled and is happy. The staff are all friendly, approachable, polite and caring. We feel that my son is very safe and very well looked after. Our thanks to the management and staff.

Whatever time of day I visited my mum the staff always had a smile on their face. There was always a cup of coffee on mums table and something to eat.
During mums end of life care the staff treated mum as if she were their own mum. The care and consideration they showed mum and my family will never be forgotten.
Entrusting your loved one to a care home is a very difficult decision but please know that if you choose Parkside your loved one will receive the best possible care.
