Staff are very caring and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. Very homely and warm feel to the home. Good activities for the residents. My Mom really enjoyed the singer and it was lovely to see. During what has been a very traumatic period in all of our lives, the staff are, and have been, very compassionate and supportive to us as a family. They have put up shelving for all Mom's ornaments and lots of photos which makes the room feel welcoming. Mom is comfortable, warm and safe. Mom is able to attend the activities or have a lie in. Person-centred care.

Thank you for your kind words. We are really pleased that your Mom is settling in well, and is enjoying the activities and in house entertainments. We understand how difficult it can be moving a loved one into permanent care, and will always do our best to make people feel comfortable.

The Shrubbery provided wonderful care for my dad whilst he was with them. He was only there for a few weeks before he sadly passed away, but the love and care he received from all the staff and nurses will never be forgotten. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Shrubbery, it really is a wonderful place.

A truly wonderful nursing home. My Dad moved here after 3 years in a awful residential home and I was blown away as soon as I walked through the door. All the staff were welcoming and kind, the home was clean and the Manager and Deputy Manager couldn't have been more accommodating to us and to Dad. He sadly only got to be at the Shrubbery for a very short time before passing away but I will be forever grateful that in those few days he had exemplary care and kindness.

I cannot begin to thank the wonderful staff for their care, concern, love, understanding, friendship and compassion both to my husband and me over the last difficult five months as I have watched my husband deteriorate due to Lewy Body Dementia until he finally passed away a few days ago. Nothing has been too much trouble. I will be always grateful that I found a place for him at The Shrubbery. If you want an all singing, all dancing home with a sauna, cinema and beauty salon then maybe The Shrubbery is not for you. If you want loving, hands-on attentive care 24/7 then I can totally recommend this home. I would be quite happy to become a resident there myself if I needed to.

A very well-run and efficient care home who will respond to my Mom’s needs on a regular basis, with a friendly smile and a personal touch. All the staff and manager are exceptionally dedicated to deliver a great place to be, always going the extra mile to provide a personal, friendly service making all the residents feeling comfortable, looked after and safe.

If you only knew the most dreadful experience both my mother and ourselves have gone through at Mum's previous care home you would be shocked. After three safeguarding measures being put in place and now a full inquiry by the CQC, it is without a doubt that the Shrubbery are exemplary in the care my mother and ourselves have received from them. Mum was only in the Shrubbery for a short time before she passed away, but in that time it is with a heavy heart that Mum could not have been placed there 10 months ago. We cannot thank the manager, the nursing staff in particular, and all the care staff enough for making both my mother and ourselves so comfortable and restoring our faith that there are actually care/nursing homes that do actually Nurse and Care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The manager and staff were excellent, kind, and considerate to my wife in particular. The food was five stars and served properly. The room and bedding were clean and fresh and well lit with all needs available. My wife was happy with it all and she was fussy. I can't finish before I praise the everyday staff for their constant attention to little details that made my wife's care bearable.

Sadly, my mum has passed away but we take comfort in knowing how well she was looked after at The Shrubbery.
The staff were all amazing, they took time to get to know my mum as a person, not just as a resident. The attention, support and loving care they gave was genuine and was extended to all the family, not just Mum - so appreciated, especially the compassion shown.

The Shrubbery was spotless, fantastic food and the atmosphere was warm and homey. Thank you to all at The Shrubbery.

My dad is a recent resident, he has recently moved there from another residential home. In the short time that he has been there, although his health is deteriorating, he is so happy and settled and he is eating and sleeping so well. The care and support that is provided is absolutely amazing. I have been there at busy and quiet times of the day and the residents have been treated with dignity and respect. I can't think of anywhere else I would like him to be for his remaining time. I have had some lovely visits with him and feel so much love for him. The Shrubbery has given me my dad back, the one I remember from my younger days. Thank you so much for all you do for him and also the support you have given me and my family.
