My Mum was so happy & content during a respite stay at Yew Tree Nursing Home whilst we were on a family holiday, even commenting that she had enjoyed her own holiday of sorts ! She particularly commented on the kindness of the activity staff who made sure that her stay was a happy & full filled providing opportunities to get involved . They made sure to encourage everyone to mix & take part which Mum really enjoyed. Mum enjoyed the varied food & drinks & commented on how meals were excellent & plentiful,

The lovely garden & outside patio area , shaded with umbrellas & tables & chairs was a great space for visiting family to sit outside with Mum in the recent lovely weather. She loved having her hair washed & styled in the hair salon . Overall an excellent stay .

Myself and my family were very happy with the care my husband received while at Yew Tree Nursing Home, the staff were excellent all were willing to help if we had a query very communicative to my husband and us, we would recommend this nursing home to all who asked us about it. The only thing we were bothered about, it was far too far away for me especially to get to on a regular basis as I live in Dudley, but no fault of Yew Tree. Again I say 100% lovely nursing home.

I can not fault Yew tree and wish to thank them for the amazing care and compassion shown to my dad Roger over the last three months but also at his end of life. The staff go out of their way to make you feel cared for not just my dad but the rest of my family. Saying thank you does not seem enough. The carers and the nursing staff were all brilliant.

The whole experience with Yew Tree given my uncle dignity, respect and the difficult care that he needed. All family and friends were very happy with he staff and the care provided. Every member of staff including contractors were friendly and respectful. The home has lovely views and its own pair of donkeys. I was really pleased my uncle was cared for here as other establishments had not given him the required level of care so he was moved. A huge thank you from Arthur and his family.

Where to begin! Yew Tree Nursing Home was brilliant from day one. My husband was not easy to deal with but the staff were so patience and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble. When my husband passed away. They helped him and us so much. I cannot recommend them enough and sincerely thank them from my heart.

I had heard great things about Yew Tree from friends who had used it for their relatives so when my mum received a terminal cancer diagnosis and required 24 hr nursing care for the time she has left this is where I wanted her to be and it's living up to expectations and My mum has improved a little under their care. The staff are friendly and helpful and she is safe with them. It's refreshing to see people happy in their jobs and they really can make a difference to the residents and mum can join in activities/ meals as staff will take her in wheelchair whenever she feels up to it. Thanks everyone x

Staff have been very kind to my grandmother as well as the family when we visited. Nursing staff provided good care to my nan when she needed it, to the time of her passing. Nan was clean, well-fed and cared for in a caring environment. Our concerns were considered, when raised - though we had to raise them a few times. My future suggestions would be to have awareness of religious and cultural ideas which need to be considered around care, especially end of life. Maybe have a discussion around this when resident is admitted.

My mom spent the last 3 months of her life in Yew Tree. She was very well cared for, she was clean and well-fed. The staff were very caring towards Mom and towards us. My dad had an accident and was in hospital for 6 weeks; without Yew Tree, we would have really struggled to provide Mom with the care she needed. When she died I was extremely impressed with the compassion shown to me. I would highly recommend this nursing home.

When my wife took up residence at Yew Tree, she was already suffering from very advanced vascular dementia, so was unable to benefit from the full facilities of the home. Most of the time, she chose to stay in her own room, later, she was unfit to use the longes, which made it difficult to pass judgement. I did find the staff very caring to her and tried to do their best for her. They were also very friendly towards me. I was always impressed by the cleanliness and the constant cleaning of the home.

My father-in-law was admitted for end-of-life fastrack care from the hospital. Unfortunately, he was only there for just over 2/52. In that time, the nursing staff and managers made the whole experience more bearable for his wife and son.
All the staff couldn't do enough, and he received care with dignity and compassion at the end of his life.

All the staff, from the top down to cleaners and kitchen staff, were so lovely and looked after him and us so well, and in that time, after he died. So thank you. We would definitely recommend this home.

My Dad became a resident at Yew Tree Nursing Home in November 2022. He had been discharged from hospital after being told his cancer had spread and he had a limited time to live. We had initially been told he had weeks to live, however, he lived for 7 more months and died in July 2023. During this time he was well cared for and always with dignity and respect.
He had additional health needs regarding long-term mental illness, his mood would quite often fluctuate and at times he struggled to understand his prognosis. Despite him being upset with staff, their approach towards him never changed, always being compassionate and kind, allowing him to voice his feelings and to feel heard.

I cannot thank all of the staff there enough for the care they provided to my dad. The last few months of his life were made far easier knowing he was so well taken care of.

In one word - superb. Attentive, kind, caring and more. Everyone at this home did their job and more for all the patients. My husband was given so much dignity even though he was so ill and in such pain. He was in the care of such professional and caring people. The staff from cleaners to nurses to superiors were second to none. He was in safe hands until he passed away this week.

Daniel BituJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2022

As Home Manager at Yew Tree Nursing Home, I have gained valuable experience leading and managing a busy nursing home environment. I am passionate about delivering high standards of care and ensuring the well-being, safety, and dignity of all residents. My role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, managing staff, maintaining compliance with CQC regulations, and ensuring that residents receive person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.

Having worked in both nursing homes and hospital settings since 2014, I have developed a strong understanding of clinical care, risk management, and operational challenges. I am committed to continuous improvement and fostering a supportive, safe, and welcoming environment.

I take pride in building strong relationships with residents, their families, and the wider community, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone involved. I have a strong focus on quality assurance, regularly auditing systems and practices within the home to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement. Budget management, care planning, safeguarding, and health & safety are all key aspects of my role.

Beyond my professional life, I’m a proud family man. I’m married and blessed with a beautiful daughter, who I absolutely love to bits. Family means everything to me, and I enjoy spending quality time with them and close friends whenever I can. I love travelling, exploring new places, and when the weekend comes around — you’ll most likely find me by the BBQ, enjoying good food and great company (because, honestly, who doesn’t love a BBQ?).

Hello, I’m the Deputy Manager of Yew Tree and a registered Nurse. My role within the home is to ensure that the residents of Yew Tree receive a high standard of care from the staff employed by the home. I’m Level 3 trained for medications and train the trainer for Manual handling. It is my reasonability to ensure that staff are competent to conduct their role. I have a clear passion for End-of-Life care and I am the champion within the home ensuring that the needs of the residents and the family are respected during this difficult time.
I have worked within the care sector for over a decade now, with my previous experience of working as a nurse in various nursing homes.

I have been engaged for over 9 years to my partner and we have two beautiful children together, my youngest is four and my eldest child is seven so they both keep me young and on my toes. Outside of work, I love to travel visiting new places, but I especially love to visit back home in Romania where the children can see their grandparents and extended family. During the weekends I enjoy day trips and spending quality time with my family sightseeing around the UK.

Hello, I’m Vicky and I have been the Business Manager at Yew Tree since 2010. My role within the home is to oversee the finances, administration and HR functions within the business. Previously I worked as a Company Secretary for a company in the construction industry for ten years so I have many years of experience within Management. Prior to working at Yew Tree I had no Healthcare experience however I found a role that is very rewarding and I have found a passion for providing excellent care for the residents. I have also completed my Level 5 in Care Home Management. I assist the Home Manager and Deputy in striving for a home from home experience for the residents within our home.

In my personal life I am married and have a grown son who both also work in care so you could say it’s a family passion. I’m very much an animal lover and at home I have three cats and two dogs, 1 Doberman and one Yorkshire Terrier cross so the house is never quiet. My escape is my caravan in North Wales by the coast where I go to unwind and just take in the sea air as relaxation time is important for everyone.
