When I came I was a mess. I didn't settle straight away and was under weight. The staff helped me. I am now on the right medication. Everything is now better.

Very friendly approachable staff especially management who are always there to support you and will go out of their way to help you in any way they can.
Barton house provide a safe environment where there is always someone to talk to if needed.
Group activities are also provided which is always something to look forward to.
A bonus to Barton house is that they are pet friendly for residents who would benefit from a support animal and this has really helped me as it gives me a purpose in life and keeps me busy everyday.

I am confident that by living at Barton house there will always be someone to support me 24/7.

The staff are always friendly when I visit my husband. He always looks clean and tidy when I visit. I especially like it when they take my husband out for a walk when the weather is nice. The staff are always understanding of my husband, as he can be a stubborn person.

Overall Experience
The manager was friendly. My mother seems to be cared for adequately. Some residents seem to need more attention and I had to find a care nurse to deal with a quiet-voiced, elderly woman who wanted a staff member, she had no way to buzz for assistance as she was stuck, chair-bound in the front lounge due to her body movement being very limited. My mother has nowhere else to go and is in a place that is paid for by the state/public funding.

I am glad I met the manager who I thought was a nice lady.
