I am so pleased with the care and respect my husband receives. Carers are so kind and the home is immaculate. The food is very good lots of healthy meals. The clusters are full of light and space for visitors to have private time with their loved ones. The staff on front desk so friendly and helpful
and the manager Claire is so approachable and really lovely.
There is always something going on in the High Street with activities the girls there are wonderful.

My Mum has been living at Stuart House for approx 18 months and I cannot fault the care and concern she is shown. At times she shows resistance in taking her meds and having her insulin administered . Stuart House have put plans , including changes in times in place to try and make this an easier intervention
for her . They have liaised with the nurses who come to the home daily to perform this to ensure it works for everyone .
Mum is taken regularly to a local church coffee morning which is so important to her and we are grateful for that .

Mum has been at Aspen Court for nearly 4 months and has settled very well. All staff, from management down, are approachable, kind and really care for the residents. She's put on weight and always looks smart and very well cared for. They strive to accommodate individual needs, and the activities/entertainment
are really fantastic. Mum sees a minister once a month and people from the volunteer library service, who provide her with books and chat to her. I feel totally at ease with mum being at Aspen Court and know she is safe and in capable caring hands.

I am extremely happy with my Dads care at Maplebrook . He has dementia and challenging behaviours and have found Maplebrook the best carehome he has been in and this is his 4th carehome now . I find the staff very informative, caring , friendly and I honestly feel my Dad is a lot more relaxed here .
We have had some horrendous experiences in past homes and I am so glad we are out of that now. My Dad is not the easiest of residents due to his illness and I feel that they care and understand it's not him, it's his dementia that makes him act this way. In past homes I feel he has been hated and punished for his behaviours . I hope he never has to leave . My Dad seems the happiest he's ever been there and it's lovely to see . Thank you to you all for your hard work , it takes a special person to do that job daily and you all deserve recognition .
Reply from Amanda Rowley, Home Manager at Maplebrook Care HomeThank you so much for your very kind words, I'm so pleased that you feel that your dad is being cared for as he should, and this will continue whilst he is here with us, we want the best quality of care for all of our residents, which is what they all deserve, thank you again, this means a great deal to all of the staff.

We are really happy with the level of care my father is receiving at Limewood. The staff are excellent; friendly, caring and always happy to discuss with family, any issues with the health or care of my father. They keep us up to date with any changes to his medication or care. The Admin Staff and
Management team are also always friendly, approachable and happy to help with any queries we have had. Limewood has made 'dealing with dementia' so much easier for us as a family to deal with. After experiences of other care homes, we feel very fortunate that our father is cared for at Limewood.

My mother was admitted due to dementia while my father was in hospital. He subsequently became a resident in his final weeks of life.
My father's care was excellent, as was how the team communicated with me (I am overseas) after his death. My mother's well-being appears to be well managed and I have
no concerns over how she is looked after. When anything has been amiss, the team have communicated effectively.
Reply from Simon Dixey, Home Manager at Manor House Nursing HomeThank you for your kind review. My Brother in law started living here in September for safe guarding following being failed by a care company in the community . He is a major amputee with most of his right side missing below the ribs. He was welcomed in a friendly manor by staff, and is and has enjoyed his stay building up friendships
with many of them. He is a smoker and has a ground floor room with his own door into the garden so he can go out whenever he needs to. His meds have been had a revue and is in a better place because of this as his pain management is under control at last, thanks to the nursing team working with his doctor. He has is own TV which the militance team sorted for him as it is a large one.
He is a vegetarian and is hard to feed as he doesn't like many vegetables. He has his own fridge, this has allowed for family to work with the catering staff and supply foods that he likes to go along with what they produce. Has gained weight which is another positive.
His mental health improved 10 fold.
Reply from Simon Dixey, Home Manager at Manor House Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share this. Your words truly mean a great deal to the whole team.
It has been a privilege to support your brother-in-law, to help him feel safe, valued and settled. Seeing him build friendships, regain stability with his pain management, gain weight and improve in himself is exactly why we do what we do.
I will make sure your kind feedback is shared with all the team.

A really lovely home. My grandma is well cared for at Stuart House. The activities suit her well as there is a fantastic programme. I always find the reception team are very welcoming into a clean and tidy reception area which is always ' the first thing noticed'. I have been issued with a electronic fob which allows me to access front entrance, staircase and entry into my Sisters cluster. It is therefore obvious that I can attend,
within reason, any time with being announced. Whenever I do visit my sister, usually once a week, everywhere is clean, tidy and warm. Again, whatever time I visit, my sister is clean, well dressed and comfortable ( as are all of the residents I come into contact with).
The staff always give me a very warm welcome, irrespective of their commitments at the time. They are always happy to talk with me regarding my sisters welfare. I am always offered a cup of tea and sometimes if I attend after meal times and there is spare food, I get offered something to eat.
The nursing staff are always happy to discuss matters with me too in private.

Stuart House

My dad has been in Stuart House since May 2025. He had been in a different, private care home for 2 months previously and what a difference!

Stuart House is like a home from home, as much as a care home can be. The decoration around the home is homely and cheerful. All the staff are friendly and

down to earth and speak kindly to residents. There are lots of activities taking place on a daily basis and residents are encouraged to join in but also respected if they don't want to participate. Dad has been on lots of lovely outings and enjoyed visits from singers and therapy animals. He's even done some baking, which is an absolute first in his whole life!

It was hugely stressful when Dad first had to leave his own independent home and move into a care home. To then have to move from the other care home after only 2 months was even more stressful but Debbie, Helen and Ruth at Stuart House made that move as easy as possible and I'm only sorry that Dad didn't go straight there in the first place.

Reply from Debbie Brazier, Manager at Stuart HouseThank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It truly means a great deal to our whole team. We are passionate about providing a caring, supportive, and welcoming environment, and it's wonderful to hear that this has been your experience. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be shared with our staff, who will be delighted to know their efforts have made a positive difference.

Manor House Nursing Home

Mum happy and is very well looked after. She is content and has formed good relationships with all the staff, who are very friendly and thoughtful she has also made some new friends in the other residents. The staff have an excellent understanding of her needs and also of her likes and dislikes. She
loves the visit from the various animals, dog, alpaca and ponies she was even allowed to say good bye to her cat before it was remhomed. She keeps herself busy knitting and other needle crafts as well as reading and puzzles. She has lots of visitors from church and choir, as well as family. We have been able to hold family gatherings in The community hub which means although mum is " in care" she isn't isolated. We have also been able to take her out for short trips too.
One improvement I would like to suggest is the community hub needs a piano! We are a very musical family and mum, and possibly other residents might enjoy hearing little concerts from us.
Reply from Simon Dixey, Home Manager at Manor House Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a lovely and thoughtful review. It means a great deal to our team to know that your mum feels happy, settled and well supported, and we are really pleased she has built such positive relationships with both staff and other residents.

Thank you also for your suggestion about a piano for the Hub. This is a fantastic idea and something we will certainly explore, as we always welcome opportunities to enhance meaningful activities and shared experiences for residents and families.

All staff are friendly and helpful, and nothing too much bother to make residents feel happy and secure in their new home. Everyone makes the visitors feel very welcome and relaxed, too. My partner for forty years is settling into his surroundings. He is able to walk around exploring in a very safe
environment. Areas of dignity and respect at all times. Management and staff keep me up to date on all changes they need to make to benefit my partner. I can relax now when I go home knowing he is in a lovely home with wonderful staff.
Reply from Amanda Rowley, Home Manager at Maplebrook Care HomeThank you so much for your very kind words Pauline, it really means a lot and I'm really happy that he has settled in so well, and you know he is in safe hands, it is a pleasure caring for him, and we will continue to give him the best care here at Maplebrook.
