Limewood

from P G (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 November 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother spent just under a year at Limewood and the care she received was outstanding. The small clusters worked wonderfully for her dementia and meant the staff truly knew her, spent time with her and always respected her dignity.

When end of care was decided they went above and beyond. They quickly

coordinated with the district nurses, doctors and other services to make sure she was completely comfortable and that everything was managed smoothly. They took the practical pressures away so I could simply focus on being with her.

In her final week she was cared for with such kindness and the staff supported me too. Some even came in on their own time to pay their respects and share lovely stories about her which meant so much.

I did not realise how amazing they were until I saw firsthand the compassion they show every day. Thank you for understanding her dementia and frailty and for treating her as a person. I will always be grateful.

Reply from Claire Wilson, Manager at LimewoodThank you so much for your lovely review of Limewood. It was a pleasure to care for your mum. The staff really are compassionate and end of life care is very important to them.

The Lodge

from Claire W (Mother of Resident) published on 18 November 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My son has now been a resident at the Lodge for 6 years and feels very much at home there. He arrived in a state of high anxiety following a previous residential experience during which his behaviour had risen from challenging to chaotic. The placement was offered at short notice and, on paper, he certainly
wasn't an ideal resident. Among other issues he was prone to causing floods, smashing doors and light sockets and having complete meltdowns. The staff not only treated him in a calm, professional manner, but adapted his flat to ensure that his more damaging behaviours couldn't continue. They also put some structure into his daily routine which he was made fully aware of and soon adapted to - I think this was one of the main benefits in making him feel secure and listened to. Danny is kept very much in the loop as to who will be looking after him daily and this encourages awareness and participation. He used to go to his Dad's for Xmas, but now wants to stay "at home". A happy man!

My mother has been a resident at Rowanbrook for the past 12 months, and I can confidently say that the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. From the very beginning, the staff have shown exceptional kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for her wellbeing.
The team are always on hand to
ensure that residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. My mother now has trouble reflecting her true feelings and i feel the staff know exactly what she needs and when she needs it.
The facilities are always clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged to support both independence and safety. The meals are nutritious and tailored to individual dietary needs, and the variety of activities offered keeps residents engaged and socially active.
Communication with family members is excellent-we're always kept informed and involved. I'm deeply grateful for the care and support my mother has received.
Reply from Bo Micu, Manager at Rowanbrook Care HomeThank you for the detailed review and your kind words are very much appreciated by the team. We strive to achieve the best outcomes for our residents and wish for all family members to rest assured that we are the best at what we do. My wife Tanya came for a short respite stay again. The Staff was very Friendly and helpful. Tanya told me that she enjoyed her stay and enjoyed the company of both the staff and the residents. Hopefully she may be able to come again in the near future. I would just like to say a big "THANK YOU" to the
Carers, Nurses, and all of the Staff.

I have found the staff at Cherry Brook very caring towards those in their care and they seem to know their residents very well. They are always friendly towards visitors and are happy to answer any questions you may have. The home smells and looks very clean and has a calming atmosphere. They have
a schedule of activities to keep the residents stimulated and the food is good. All residents look clean and tidy.

Limewood

Dad moved into Limewood at the end of July this year, from a nursing home that had not been meeting his needs well at all. I can't stress enough the difference in the quality of care and the environment between the two places. I actually had a little happy cry at how lovely Dad's bedroom is at Limewood.
It actually feels like a home, rather than a clinical space. The carers and nurses are kind and knowledgeable and I feel very confident leaving Dad in their care. He is eating better than he has done in years - enjoying his food and eating at a table with others, rather than on a tray over his lap. I went on holiday with no worries at all about the care that Dad was receiving, for the first time in over a year. Thank you so much to the lovely, kind and friendly staff for giving me the peace of mind I desperately needed.
Reply from Claire Wilson, Manager at LimewoodThank you so much for your excellent review. we are so happy that you are happy and that you feel so confident leaving Dad in our care. I will pass your lovely feedback to our staff team. it means so much to every one of us to receive feedback like this.

My sister, who is 89 years of age, is living some of her best years at Stuart House. She told me today (and many times previously) that they supply lovely meals and also treats. My experience of staff is that they are exceptional in their compassion and understanding, and nothing is too much for all.

Alderbrook left me on my first visit with a great feeling of comfort.
I knew my brother would be secure and well looked after there.
He is safe, well fed, watered and made comfortable.
I have been regularly updated on matters regarding my brother.
