Generally very good. Some delays in responding to buzzers, but this is often due to staffing problems. Most of carers are excellent, one or two seem hesitant, which makes me nervous about their capabilty. All are kind and polite, I try to be the same. The more experienced staff are very good at remembering
my peculiarities - such as sugar in drinks, windows open whenever possible, dislike of pork (I cannot digest it).

My wife's been in full time residency for about two months and, overall , I'm pleased with the care and attention that she receives at Cedar Lodge . She always seems happy when I visit. It's good to know that Cedar lodge provides and manages a personal allowance bank account for items like foot care
and hair dressing although I'm disappointed there's no hair dressers appointed at the time of writing as she could do with at least a dry cut. I think a little more attention could be given to ensuring that she doesn't leave her glasses in her room but wears them every day.

Since Mary moved into Alderbrook in January 2026, new management, nurses, carers and other staff have been appointed. The care that Mary gets from all staff has been wonderful. The nurses and carers are competent, and Mary is cared for professionally, compassionately and with the utmost dignity. The
management and staff liaise daily with Mary and her family to improve anything that is required. Mary is settled in her new environment and she and her family are confident in the care and support she gets 10 out of 10 for everything. Thanks Alderbrook.

Our experience with Campania was all very positive . We found every single employee of the home caring and sympathetic with any issue we raised , nothing was too much trouble and any request we made was promptly dealt with. The only negative was having to pay full price to keep our loved ones place
when he was in hospital. Staff still have to be paid in his absence but food and utilities were not being used and this needs to be deducted from the monthly fee. We would recommend Campania in a heartbeat and can't thank them enough for all their hard work and commitment with our relative we only hope that he will be able to return.

A lovely caring atmosphere and my father receives excellent care from staff who genuinely care about the people. All of my Dads needs have been met and if something needs to be changed it is done quickly. The staff know my Dad so well in such a short time and he says he is very happy. I feel happy knowing
he is well cared for and I am telephoned whenever anything changes so I know he is in safe hands.

Amazing team and amazing care - Mum is in the best place with the best people.
Mum has been cared for better than we could ever have wished for, the team and management at the home are fabulous. Just a pity that the group that own the care home are not as caring as their wonderfull employees.

Very friendly approachable staff especially management who are always there to support you and will go out of their way to help you in any way they can.
Barton house provide a safe environment where there is always someone to talk to if needed.
Group activities are also provided which is always
something to look forward to.
A bonus to Barton house is that they are pet friendly for residents who would benefit from a support animal and this has really helped me as it gives me a purpose in life and keeps me busy everyday.
I am confident that by living at Barton house there will always be someone to support me 24/7.

We are very pleased with the care provided at Willowbrook Care Home. The standard of care is consistently very good, and it is clear that residents are genuinely well looked after.
My brother is always happy and settled, which gives us great peace of mind. His needs are not only met but often anticipated,
with staff taking proactive steps to support his wellbeing. This level of attentiveness stands out.
Particular care is taken with his diabetes, with meals thoughtfully prepared to be healthy and appropriate, and his sugar levels regularly monitored and carefully managed. This gives us confidence that his health is in very safe hands.
The whole team are kind, supportive and approachable, and there is a real family feel within the home. As relatives, we feel reassured and supported at all times.
We are very grateful for the care and dedication shown by everyone at Willowbrook and would highly recommend it.

Our mother has been at Maplebrook for exactly a year now and we couldn't be happier with her care.
She always looks lovely in clean clothes and her hair is brushed and tidy.
Her room is also kept clean and tidy as are the communal areas.
The main thing however is the attentiveness of the staff.
They're all so kind to her and always ready to give her a hug when she needs one.

My husband,has been calmer since he moved into Rowanbrook, he doesn't know what he has done to be in there, so i keep it from him, the carers really know how to look after all the residents, i was under the illusion i could have my husband home again, but i know it will never happen, i know he is looked
after 24/7, i couldn't wish for him to be in a better place, i visit on a regular basis and am always made welcome.

I found that this care home is very capable of looking after me. I have not yet met any member of staf that I wouldn't like to come and see me again. All have been excellent.

Alderbrook Care Home is newly opened and my sister came to the home in it's early stages, albeit it's adjoined care home was fully functioning.
Initially, there were several areas of concern as new management, nurses and carers were employed.
April 2026. The new staff are wonderful, caring and listening
to residents and family.
The home is excellently decorated, comfortable and clean.
Nursing and caring is excellent and residents treated with dignity.
Food very good and catering staff try to meet individual needs of residents. 10 out of 10 from us.

Please see the review I made in February
They have listened and taken on everything me and my mum suggested they do to improve and have done it! Now all residents have more fruit and less cake! As mum suggested. Also with a help from me and a generous friend of mine they now have a piano! We are planning
a little concert for the residents! Mum is very happy. She does worry about the costs and what will happen when she has run out of funds....
