My mum was at Manor since 2022 and was very well cared for. The care staff, nurses and managers were always very helpful when asked for advice/updates. Particular credit is due at the time of my mums passing. AT this time all the staff at Manor were a wonderful support.

I visited a friend of mine at Stuart House, I was greeted by friendly staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I was offered a hot drink and biscuits on arrival. The home is clean and tidy with traditional decor which my friend prefers. There is lots on offer activity-wise with day trips,
themed days and chair exercise. My friend is very happy here and it'd lovely to see.

Clarence Park

from N F (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 September 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Dad lived at home independently into his 90s before successive health issues and hospital admissions.
It was therefore a huge responsibility to find a suitable happy 'home' for him to move into.
Having visited numerous establishments with many disappointments, our hearts were lifted as we stepped
into Clarence Park - greeted with a warm welcome, open, spacious living spaces / bedrooms, a kitchen where proper meals are prepared and a dining room where many residents can gather and share mealtimes together; also a courtyard garden which is just perfect!
Despite arriving with very little notice (less than 30 minutes) at a busy time, both a nurse and the administrator made time to talk to us, answering a range of questions very honestly.
Dad has settled in quickly and regularly comments on the kindness and care of the staff for him and all his needs, which we see too and is both reassuring and wonderful to hear.
Incredibly, Dad looks better and brighter than he has done for a while.
Reply from Teresa Monk, Manager at Clarence Park

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you're happy with the care and support your father has received and that you feel he is settling in well. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we will continue to ensure you receive the assistance you need. Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My brother has been at the Serenita Care Home for a couple of years now and throughout that time all of the staff have treated him with kindness and respect, despite the fact that he can be very difficult. The owner and the receptionist are always extremely helpful and supportive, making time for me
when I need it, answering questions and supportive when I have found my brother's journey difficult to cope with at times. The food is excellent, the living areas are light and airy and they work really hard to put on a full range of activities for the residents. So, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all you do.

Since our mother arrived at Maplebrook in May this year, we have noticed a massive improvement in her overall well being. She always appears well groomed and with clean clothes. She adores the staff who are kind and attentive, and always have time to chat with her. It is obvious that the staff know
the residents well and what their needs are. She always looks forward to the meals which look freshly prepared and appetising. The management ar always available and have their eye on the ball. Last but not least, Mom is relaxed and happy. Thank you to all concerned.

The overall service and care provided by this facility is absolutely magnificent, the residents are treated extremely well and I've observed nothing but heartfelt and genuine interactions between the staff and residents. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the highest quality of life while ensuring
their safety and wellbeing and I'm extremely pleased with everything I have witnessed so far. Aside from the interactions with the residents, the staff have supported myself and my family in this difficult situation and made the whole situation more manageable. I have nothing but respect for the home and staff and couldn't be more reassured, thank you!

My grandad has been on dunston for over two years now and I can't express was a lovely care home this is. They truly care about their residents the carers themselves are a blessing and the continuity the residents receives ensure that they've built relationship and trust. Myself and my family have no
complaints the residents get fair share of activities everyday and the best care. This is my grandads fourth care home and despite his dementia they've managed his behaviour so well that he's the best behaved he's been in the last four years he's put weight on and his memory hasn't declined if anything slightly improved. Any medical issues the nursing staff report and over winter he's had one chest infection in the last two years which compared to previously he'd have one in every month in winter. Thankyou to all the staff and your advocation for my grandad it's truly seen and appreciated by our family.
