Review of Serenita from Penny S (Wife of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My husband settled into life at Serenita well. He enjoys the daily routine and says he feels safe. He no longer wants to drink alcohol and joins in with some activities with encouragement. The staff are kind and helpful towards him.

Review of Clarence Park from Neal M (Son of Resident) published on 20 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Mum wasn't very well after having a stroke . We looked at a few care homes ,some wouldn't take her in . I visited Clarence park and was shown around and I was impressed by the tour and mum was accepted ,she has perked up since she first arrived and takes part in activities . More staff have been taken on and that has made a lot of difference. Decorating and seating upgrades are being carried out ,a new reception area is in place.

Money is being invested into the property and you can feel the improvements. A new chef has also helped. Mum has been there for over six months and seems happy . We are pleased with the way she has been treated and we are always welcomed with a smile.

Reply from Lorraine Shannon, Business Development Manager at Clarence Park

Review of Campania ARBD Care Home from Jan R (Cousin of Resident) published on 10 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Our experience with Campania was all very positive . We found every single employee of the home caring and sympathetic with any issue we raised , nothing was too much trouble and any request we made was promptly dealt with. The only negative was having to pay full price to keep our loved ones place when he was in hospital. Staff still have to be paid in his absence but food and utilities were not being used and this needs to be deducted from the monthly fee. We would recommend Campania in a heartbeat and can't thank them enough for all their hard work and commitment with our relative we only hope that he will be able to return.

Amazing team and amazing care - Mum is in the best place with the best people.

Mum has been cared for better than we could ever have wished for, the team and management at the home are fabulous. Just a pity that the group that own the care home are not as caring as their wonderfull employees.

I found that this care home is very capable of looking after me. I have not yet met any member of staf that I wouldn't like to come and see me again. All have been excellent.

Overall Experience
Care team is amazing however I'm not so happy with the company that runs the admin side of things. They raised mum's care fees by 10% last year and then wrote to me for this year's review and left fees the same as last year - fair enough as 10% was well above the rate of inflation.
I received a bill for April showing yet another 10% increase and when I questioned why I was told it was a 'blip' in the system and that fees had increased yet again.

We are contesting this as mum has limited funds and we can't sell her property as the bottom has fallen out of the market. Still ongoing as no one responds and I'm fed up to the back teeth with them. Care home is excellent, business management is very poor.

Review of Stuart House from Rachel P (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 March 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Mum has been living at Stuart House for approx 18 months and I cannot fault the care and concern she is shown. At times she shows resistance in taking her meds and having her insulin administered . Stuart House have put plans , including changes in times in place to try and make this an easier intervention for her . They have liaised with the nurses who come to the home daily to perform this to ensure it works for everyone .

Mum is taken regularly to a local church coffee morning which is so important to her and we are grateful for that .

A really lovely home. My grandma is well cared for at Stuart House. The activities suit her well as there is a fantastic programme. She goes on trips and the staff have really helped her to achieve this as she didn't go out much before. I'm always greeted kindly by the staff and my grandma speaks highly of all the staff. If you are looking for a care home for your relative I fully recommend Stuart House.

Visited my friend today and was given such a friendly welcome by the staff made to feel so comfortable. Everyone was happy and laughing such a lovely thing to see. My friend said that she enjoys the things that they do with a lady called Helen. I found out this is the activities lady so thank you Helen and the rest of the staff for making my friend feel part of your family.

Review of Stuart House from Emma S (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My dad has been in Stuart House since May 2025. He had been in a different, private care home for 2 months previously and what a difference!

Stuart House is like a home from home, as much as a care home can be. The decoration around the home is homely and cheerful. All the staff are friendly and down to earth and speak kindly to residents. There are lots of activities taking place on a daily basis and residents are encouraged to join in but also respected if they don't want to participate. Dad has been on lots of lovely outings and enjoyed visits from singers and therapy animals. He's even done some baking, which is an absolute first in his whole life!

It was hugely stressful when Dad first had to leave his own independent home and move into a care home. To then have to move from the other care home after only 2 months was even more stressful but Debbie, Helen and Ruth at Stuart House made that move as easy as possible and I'm only sorry that Dad didn't go straight there in the first place.

If it was not for this home, then my sister would of been dead in a gutter. She's been here a year and what a difference, my sister is back.
The staff are welcoming, friendly, and they have helped my sister get back on her feet and start thinking about her future.
This home has truly helped, not just my sister, but everyone that lives there.

Thank you from my sisters family.

I have had a warm and welcoming experience at Serenita, all the staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spotless and the food is second to none, any issues are dealt with promptly. Happy man. A small stall in the bedroom under the sideboard would be handy.
