As a visiting Advocate, Nurses in the Keswick Unit usually make plenty of time to help me understand the health and care of my clients who are resident at Willowbrook even though they are constantly in demand.
Reply from Kym Hubbard, Regional Support Manager at Willowbrook Care HomeThank you for your kind comments. The nursing team in the Keswick Unit always strives to provide support and information to advocates, residents, and families, and your feedback is greatly appreciated.

We are very pleased with the care provided at Willowbrook Care Home. The standard of care is consistently very good, and it is clear that residents are genuinely well looked after.
My brother is always happy and settled, which gives us great peace of mind. His needs are not only met but often anticipated,
with staff taking proactive steps to support his wellbeing. This level of attentiveness stands out.
Particular care is taken with his diabetes, with meals thoughtfully prepared to be healthy and appropriate, and his sugar levels regularly monitored and carefully managed. This gives us confidence that his health is in very safe hands.
The whole team are kind, supportive and approachable, and there is a real family feel within the home. As relatives, we feel reassured and supported at all times.
We are very grateful for the care and dedication shown by everyone at Willowbrook and would highly recommend it.
Reply from Kym Hubbard, Regional Support Manager at Willowbrook Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words and positive feedback. We are delighted to hear that your brother is happy and well supported at Willowbrook Care Home. Your comments mean a great deal to our team, who work hard to provide the highest standard of care and create a warm, family friendly environment for all residents. We truly appreciate your recommendation and ongoing support.

Our mother has been at Maplebrook for exactly a year now and we couldn't be happier with her care.
She always looks lovely in clean clothes and her hair is brushed and tidy.
Her room is also kept clean and tidy as are the communal areas.
The main thing however is the attentiveness of the staff.
They're all so kind to her and always ready to give her a hug when she needs one.
Many thanks to all concerned.
Reply from Amanda Rowley, Home Manager at Maplebrook Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words it really means a lot to us all here, I'm so glad that you are pleased with your moms care, and that she always looks lovely when you visit. We will continue to provide the best care for her.

My husband, has been calmer since he moved into Rowanbrook, he doesn't know what he has done to be in there, so i keep it from him, the carers really know how to look after all the residents, i was under the illusion i could have my husband home again, but i know it will never happen, i know he is looked
after 24/7, i couldn't wish for him to be in a better place, i visit on a regular basis and am always made welcome.
Reply from Bo Micu, Manager at Rowanbrook Care HomeThank you for the lovely review! I am extremely happy with my Dads care at Maplebrook . He has dementia and challenging behaviours and have found Maplebrook the best carehome he has been in and this is his 4th carehome now . I find the staff very informative, caring , friendly and I honestly feel my Dad is a lot more relaxed here .
We have had some horrendous experiences in past homes and I am so glad we are out of that now. My Dad is not the easiest of residents due to his illness and I feel that they care and understand it's not him, it's his dementia that makes him act this way. In past homes I feel he has been hated and punished for his behaviours . I hope he never has to leave . My Dad seems the happiest he's ever been there and it's lovely to see . Thank you to you all for your hard work , it takes a special person to do that job daily and you all deserve recognition .
Reply from Amanda Rowley, Home Manager at Maplebrook Care HomeThank you so much for your very kind words, I'm so pleased that you feel that your dad is being cared for as he should, and this will continue whilst he is here with us, we want the best quality of care for all of our residents, which is what they all deserve, thank you again, this means a great deal to all of the staff.

All staff are friendly and helpful, and nothing too much bother to make residents feel happy and secure in their new home. Everyone makes the visitors feel very welcome and relaxed, too. My partner for forty years is settling into his surroundings. He is able to walk around exploring in a very safe
environment. Areas of dignity and respect at all times. Management and staff keep me up to date on all changes they need to make to benefit my partner. I can relax now when I go home knowing he is in a lovely home with wonderful staff.
Reply from Amanda Rowley, Home Manager at Maplebrook Care HomeThank you so much for your very kind words Pauline, it really means a lot and I'm really happy that he has settled in so well, and you know he is in safe hands, it is a pleasure caring for him, and we will continue to give him the best care here at Maplebrook.

My mother has been a resident at Rowanbrook for the past 12 months, and I can confidently say that the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. From the very beginning, the staff have shown exceptional kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for her wellbeing.
The team are always on hand to
ensure that residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. My mother now has trouble reflecting her true feelings and i feel the staff know exactly what she needs and when she needs it.
The facilities are always clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged to support both independence and safety. The meals are nutritious and tailored to individual dietary needs, and the variety of activities offered keeps residents engaged and socially active.
Communication with family members is excellent-we're always kept informed and involved. I'm deeply grateful for the care and support my mother has received.

It took us a little while as a family to settle into Willowbrooke, but that was more about coming to terms with Dad's illness than anything else. The staff have been absolutely amazing from the start - always so supportive, positive, and caring. They really do work hard to make Dad as comfortable as
possible, and nothing is ever too much trouble.
I also love that we can visit at any time of the day, it makes such a difference to us and to Dad. The food is always good with plenty of choice and variety, which he enjoys. We're so grateful for the kindness and effort from everyone at Willowbrooke - it's made a tough situation much easier for us all.

Since our mother arrived at Maplebrook in May this year, we have noticed a massive improvement in her overall well being. She always appears well groomed and with clean clothes. She adores the staff who are kind and attentive, and always have time to chat with her. It is obvious that the staff know
the residents well and what their needs are. She always looks forward to the meals which look freshly prepared and appetising. The management ar always available and have their eye on the ball. Last but not least, Mom is relaxed and happy. Thank you to all concerned.

I am extremely grateful to all the staff at Maplebrook for their patience and kindness caring for my sister. Suffering from mental health issues and after a prolonged stay in hospital, Maplebrook was the only care home willing to accept my sisters challenging behaviour (several others suggested by the
hospital discharge team rejected her after assessment).
Living abroad, I very much appreciated the easy communication with staff, always taking the time to talk or send messages.
My sister also reported to me that many of the staff members went out of their way to help and rassure her with kindness and patience.
Reply from Sonia Tenniswood, Manager at Maplebrook Care HomeThank you for your kind and thoughtful review. We are grateful that you took the time to share your experience with Maplebrook. It means a great deal to the whole team to know that our care and communication made a positive difference for both you and your sister during such a challenging time.Supporting residents with complex needs is at the heart of what we do, and we are proud to have been able to offer your sister a place where she could feel safe, supported, and respected. Your feedback about the patience and kindness of our staff is appreciated and will be shared with the whole team.

My husband went into Rowanbrook care home in February. The staff have all been amazing with him. I've found that all who I've been in contact with to be friendly, approachable and have the time of day for you. Their delivery of care is to a high standard.
Since becoming a resident there, my husband
has become a different person, he is happy, he has a smile on his face, he engages in conversation, he laughs and he even says that he likes it there and he is happy. He has been engaging in activities also. Such a remarkable transformation thanks to the carers and other staff members.
Everything is nice about the home from the bedrooms with en-suite and Tv to the lounge and dining room.
Something I've noticed, is that there are always carers sitting with residents wherever they are whether in the lounge or the dining room.
I would definitely recommend this care home for your LO.
