Overall Experience
Our mother has been at Maplebrook for exactly a year now and we couldn't be happier with her care.
She always looks lovely in clean clothes and her hair is brushed and tidy.
Her room is also kept clean and tidy as are the communal areas.
The main thing however is the attentiveness of the staff. They're all so kind to her and always ready to give her a hug when she needs one.

Many thanks to all concerned.

I am extremely happy with my Dads care at Maplebrook . He has dementia and challenging behaviours and have found Maplebrook the best carehome he has been in and this is his 4th carehome now . I find the staff very informative, caring , friendly and I honestly feel my Dad is a lot more relaxed here . We have had some horrendous experiences in past homes and I am so glad we are out of that now. My Dad is not the easiest of residents due to his illness and I feel that they care and understand it's not him, it's his dementia that makes him act this way. In past homes I feel he has been hated and punished for his behaviours . I hope he never has to leave . My Dad seems the happiest he's ever been there and it's lovely to see . Thank you to you all for your hard work , it takes a special person to do that job daily and you all deserve recognition .

Overall Experience

All staff are friendly and helpful, and nothing too much bother to make residents feel happy and secure in their new home. Everyone makes the visitors feel very welcome and relaxed, too. My partner for forty years is settling into his surroundings. He is able to walk around exploring in a very safe environment. Areas of dignity and respect at all times. Management and staff keep me up to date on all changes they need to make to benefit my partner. I can relax now when I go home knowing he is in a lovely home with wonderful staff.

Since our mother arrived at Maplebrook in May this year, we have noticed a massive improvement in her overall well being. She always appears well groomed and with clean clothes. She adores the staff who are kind and attentive, and always have time to chat with her. It is obvious that the staff know the residents well and what their needs are. She always looks forward to the meals which look freshly prepared and appetising. The management ar always available and have their eye on the ball. Last but not least, Mom is relaxed and happy. Thank you to all concerned.

I am extremely grateful to all the staff at Maplebrook for their patience and kindness caring for my sister. Suffering from mental health issues and after a prolonged stay in hospital, Maplebrook was the only care home willing to accept my sisters challenging behaviour (several others suggested by the hospital discharge team rejected her after assessment).
Living abroad, I very much appreciated the easy communication with staff, always taking the time to talk or send messages.

My sister also reported to me that many of the staff members went out of their way to help and rassure her with kindness and patience.

Mom has been in Maplebrook Care Home since November and has received great care and support by the staff. Staff are very responsive and caring and I've been hugely comforted by the knowledge that Mom is receiving the best care available during what has been a challenging time. This is especially the case as I live in Yorkshire and have not been able to just "pop in" during the week.

Maplebrook is very clean, comfortable and well equipped and the staff are very proactive with residents, making every effort to keep people engaged and stimulated and Mom has settled very quickly.

My wife has been here for 18 months and the care and support for her needs have been excellent. The staff have been very active with communicating with me to keep me up to date with her condition and needs and the building is always clean and tidy. There are plenty of activities and events that everyone feels welcome to attend and the staff are very friendly and professional.

Overall Experience

Following a difficult 4 week stay in hospital, my husband was assessed as needing a care home environment for his safety and wellbeing. On admission to Maplebrook he showed immediate calm and contentment with his surroundings which was such a relief to me to see him relax into his new surroundings. Maplebrook is clean, comfortable, well-presented and maintained with lovely rooms, ensuite bathroom, good parking and central location in Wolverhampton. At the outset the staff displayed skills, experience, and dedication to provide an individual-focused care provision for my husband based on his own unique needs. He settled in easily and immediately into the Maplebrook community. The staff continually assessed my husband's needs, were adaptable to what made life comfortable for him. For me, I found all the staff approachable, would listen to any of my concerns and were responsive to my questions. Overall, I found Maplebrook provided a safe, effective, and caring environment for my husband.

Overall Experience

The management team were appalling in their attitude and care displayed whilst I was visiting my mother there. I had to make several complaints and couldn't wait to get my mother away from there. For the last week and a half in their care she never once went to bed, saying she didn't want to, utter rubbish, it was easier for the staff to keep her in the lounge! I didn't realise just how badly this care home was run until we got her moved. Would not recommend this care home ever.

Words can not express my gratitude to the amazing staff at Maplebrook Care Home. My dad sadly passed away at Maplebrook recently and the care to not only Dad but to myself was beyond compare. The support from outside agencies was also amazing, the GPs and a charity, thank you.

The passing of a parent is always a heartbreaking time but I can say that it was made that little easier by these wonderful people.

Whilst visiting my niece, who is a service user on respite, my thoughts were what a great home. Beautifully furnished and spotless. Fellow residents were clean and well cared for. Staff on duty during my visit were friendly and professional (as a retired nurse, this was my observation). Fellow residents and their families appeared happy. Manager very pleasant and accommodating. Food looked and smelled great! Well done, keep up the good standards.

From day one, my husband was cared for by friendly and helpful staff. Everything was immaculate and there was always a member of staff to assist. We were always greeted on arrival by cheerful and helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. Each member of staff made sure you were aware of their name and their specific duties. My husband was very comfortable and happy during his time at Maplebrook Care Home. Even our little dog was welcomed.

Hi, I am Amanda, and I am the Home Manager.

I have been a registered nurse for 27 years now, predominantly working in the NHS. My background is in surgical nursing. I was a hip fracture sister and bed manager for 16 years, taking on the role of the junior DR and ensuring that there was a smooth flow of admissions onto the orthopaedic ward.

I have also worked as an agency nurse in care homes, and I have been a nursing home manager for 7 years now, previously working in a complex needs care home. My career so far has been an amazing one. I have met lots of wonderful people and truly care about the people who are being looked after. I have enjoyed every aspect of my nursing and being a home manager, ensuring that people who are looked after are receiving excellent quality care.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending it with my family, as that is very important to me. I enjoy walks, reading, listening to music, going out for meals, and sightseeing. These are things that help me relax when I'm not at work. I have been extremely lucky to have had such a great career in nursing and as a home manager, and continue to do so.
