Overall Experience

Alderbrook left me on my first visit with a great feeling of comfort.
I knew my brother would be secure and well looked after there.
He is safe, well fed, watered and made comfortable.
I have been regularly updated on matters regarding my brother.

Overall Experience

I am writing to express my gratitude for the care and support Alderbrook have provided to my brother.
When he first arrived, he faced significant challenges adjusting to his new environment. Transitions can be particularly difficult for individuals with mental health concerns.
However I have now

witnessed a remarkable transformation in him over the last month which I attribute directly to the dedication of his team at Alderbrook.
The patient-first approach, professional competence and genuine compassion have made an incredible difference to him.
He is now noticeably more comfortable, engaged, and hopeful about his future.
These positive changes speak volumes about the quality of care provided and the thoughtful way his team has addressed both his immediate needs and long-term well being deserves special recognition.
Thankyou again for everyone's exceptional work, it continues to positively impact my brother's life.

Overall Experience

The "Respite" needed was for me! My husband had spent several months at Alderbrook the previous year, and was perfectly happy to return there to give ME "a break".
Nursing care was excellent, as was the attention given by household staff.
There is an attractive dining room where each table has a

daily menu, and a choice of food and drinks. This personal attention makes Alderbrook feel more like a hotel than a care home, so encouraging for people feeling low and unwell.
There are daily activities to choose from, and interesting visits to entertain the residents, e.g. from petting dogs and "humming" alpaca.
All these things would mean nothing were it not for the quality and care-giving from Alderbrook staff.
My husband was welcomed with open arms and hugs from all the staff, and has told me he would be happy to return there should I feel the need for another "break".
When your loved ones need special care & attention, be assured that that is what they will receive at Alderbrook.

Overall Experience

My family member has been in Alderbrook for the last six months and the care as been excellent. All the staff are very kind, compassionate and caring and provide a lovely environment for residents. They have also been very kind to us as a family and I enjoy visiting my relative. The home is aways clean

and tidy and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food is good, all cooked on site and always of good standard

Overall Experience

I would highly recommend Alderbrook. The well managed team genuinely cared for my dear friend when she sadly needed end of life care with respect, kindness, thoughtfulness and friendship. The quality of the public areas, lounges and restaurant made visiting a pleasure. Consideration was given to the

smallest of touches which make all the difference. From the onset the team were welcoming and treated everyone as individuals. The nursing medical team ensured my friend's pain management was absolutely appropriate. All the team communicated so well with each other which gave me the confidence that you were in safe hands.
The housekeeping team were a delight and certainly kept everything to a high standard. I cannot thank the team enough for all they did in what was a very difficult and challenging set of circumstance. Thank you.

Overall Experience

My husband has been at Alderbroke for 6 months. When he entered he could be difficult but the excellent staff always had patience and did their utmost to treat him with dignity and respect. All the staff from managers to housekeepers are so friendly to visitors and deal with any questions promptly.

The food is excellent, especially the baking!
The rooms are large and they have welcomed some of my husband's paintings from home.
I feel confident that my husband is in the best place to meet his needs.

Overall Experience

It was Mum's first time at Alderbrook Care Home and from the initial show round to the end of her respite stay at Alderbrook Care Home, Mum was met with great warmth and friendliness by the receptionist, care staff and registered nursing team, which connected her to feeling comfortable and not anxious.
The

care Mum received was very good, nothing was too much trouble and I felt reassured that she would be well taken care of. Staff were understanding of and able to manage any awkward dementia behaviour. Arranged visitor's feedback was that Mum was always comfortable, tidy in appearance and cheery. A clean, well-presented ensuite bedroom with good facilities. Cosy lounge and dining area with a calm interior decor. Good menu choices served her diabetes. A lovely care home that meets the needs of the individual in a modern, caring and safe environment. The team at Alderbrook are truly amazing. The care, compassion and respect every member of your team provides, to not only the residents, but the families and each other, is a credit to you and your management team.
When my mother came to Alderbrook, I was unsure how long we would have her in our

lives but with the unequivocal constant care your team provided "she woke up". The care provided to the residents, I believe to be consistent, with each resident treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

Overall Experience

The staff have treated Dad with respect and compassion and maintained his dignity. The facilities are welcoming and homely and Dad has settled here.
The residents have a range of needs and the staff seem attentive to these.
They have responded to concerns raised and tried to meet the needs of our

family as well as Dad himself.

Overall Experience

I can't speak highly enough of Alderbrook. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt at ease knowing that Mum would be in capable and caring hands. The staff are incredibly warm, professional, and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure the residents feel comfortable and at home.
The

facilities are clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of every resident. We were particularly impressed by the range of activities provided, which keep residents engaged and active, both mentally and physically. It's clear that the staff are dedicated to fostering a sense of community, making it more than just a care home, it's a true family environment. We also appreciate how well they keep us informed of any updates and how responsive they are to any concerns or questions we may have. Knowing that our loved one is receiving such personalized and compassionate care brings us great peace of mind.

Overall Experience

Besides being a lovely place the staff are excellent and genuinely care about the residents. They also have empathy for the visitors and make them most welcome.
The room my mum is in is very comfortable and well set out. I also like the lounge area being separate from the dining area and also the additional

lounge.

Overall Experience

The care workers at Alderbrook are very patient, kind, helpful and supportive. In addition, the food is freshly prepared by the chef and is very good. The rooms are very comfortable and are well maintained and looked after.

Overall Experience

Wonderful care, very responsive. Excellent food, homecooked!
Alderbrook is very comfortable, clean and welcoming. The staff are very caring and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
