I cannot praise Alderbrook highly enough. My Dad now needs Nursing Dementia care. The Customer Relations Manager held initial telephone calls that gave me confidence looking after my Dads Care needs. The initial visit to the Care home with the Customer Relations Manager was very professional with a full tour of the building and meeting staff.Day 1 staff made my Dad,wife and I feel very welcome. Since move in, the staff have been amazing. His room is spacious and the food is good. I feel my Dad is getting the best care to suit his needs.

From entering Alderbrook care home, I felt at ease with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the property. My brother is comfortable, well looked after and frequently checked on. ,I was dreading my brother moving into a home but his accommodation and care are second to none.

Initially, there were several areas of concern as new management, nurses and carers were employed.
April 2026. The new staff are wonderful, caring and listening to residents and family.
The home is excellently decorated, comfortable and clean.
Nursing and caring is excellent and residents treated with dignity.

We would Like to thank you for your kind words about the care of your Mum since admission to the home. Thank you for recognising the work the staff do, and how this has impacted positively in Mums life. Its a pleasure to hear how welcome you both feel and to know how settled Mum is. I will share your kind thoughts with all the staff team.
I visit most days and see the high standard of care. The environment is clean, welcoming and well maintained and her clothes are always fresh and promptly changed. The food is clearly prepared with care and very fresh, nutritious and varied, What truly stands out is the staff, from managers to nurses, carers and housekeeping, everyone shows genuine compassion, kindness, and dedication. The managers are approachable and hands on and nothing ever feels like too much trouble, which means so much to families like ours. There is a real sense of family and community at Alderbrook
We would Like to thank you for taking the time to provide such a thorough review of your Sister and her care within the home, with such heartfelt words. It is always lovely to hear such positive feedback about your Sister being happy, smiling, and enjoying an improved health, since joining the...
When he first arrived, he faced significant challenges adjusting to his new environment. Transitions can be particularly difficult for individuals with mental health concerns.
However I have now witnessed a remarkable transformation in him over the last month which I attribute directly to the dedication of his team at Alderbrook.
The patient-first approach, professional competence and genuine compassion have made an incredible difference to him.
He is now noticeably more comfortable, engaged, and hopeful about his future.
These positive changes speak volumes about the quality of care provided and the thoughtful way his team has addressed both his immediate needs and long-term well being deserves special recognition.
Thankyou again for everyone's exceptional work, it continues to positively impact my brother's life.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. We are touched we have had a positive impact on you and your brother and your thanks will be shared with our staff team.
Nursing care was excellent, as was the attention given by household staff.
There is an attractive dining room where each table has a daily menu, and a choice of food and drinks. This personal attention makes Alderbrook feel more like a hotel than a care home, so encouraging for people feeling low and unwell.
There are daily activities to choose from, and interesting visits to entertain the residents, e.g. from petting dogs and "humming" alpaca.
All these things would mean nothing were it not for the quality and care-giving from Alderbrook staff.
My husband was welcomed with open arms and hugs from all the staff, and has told me he would be happy to return there should I feel the need for another "break".
When your loved ones need special care & attention, be assured that that is what they will receive at Alderbrook.
Thank you for your amazing feedback, we are pleased that the respite break was beneficial for both you and your husband. A return respite break can be organised as and when needed. We appreciate the positive feedback and will share this with the staff team.

The care Mum received was very good, nothing was too much trouble and I felt reassured that she would be well taken care of. Staff were understanding of and able to manage any awkward dementia behaviour. Arranged visitor's feedback was that Mum was always comfortable, tidy in appearance and cheery. A clean, well-presented ensuite bedroom with good facilities. Cosy lounge and dining area with a calm interior decor. Good menu choices served her diabetes. A lovely care home that meets the needs of the individual in a modern, caring and safe environment. Thank you.
