Aspen Court Care Home

We had a roller coaster of a ride, with him being refused by some homes, and others wanting him to leave after just a few weeks. Each time he was moved he became more unsettled. We were at our wits end.

A man who always took pride in his appearance, we started noticing he always looked clean, well shaven and comfortable.

Unfortunately Dad passed away this week, but the care he received since he was referred to the very end has been second to none.

All the staff have been friendly and welcoming to us, but more importantly, took such good care of Dad.

We highly recommend Aspen Court and we are so thankful to all the staff that took such genuine care of Dad and made his last year+ comfortable.

Very good, I couldn't be happier with the way my husband has settled in and is being looked after. All aspects are A1 food, entertainment, staff, nurses, etc. Cleaning staff, laundry staff, etc.

Mum has been at Aspen Court for nearly 4 months and has settled very well. All staff, from management down, are approachable, kind and really care for the residents. She's put on weight and always looks smart and very well cared for. They strive to accommodate individual needs, and the activities/entertainment are really fantastic. Mum sees a minister once a month and people from the volunteer library service, who provide her with books and chat to her. I feel totally at ease with mum being at Aspen Court and know she is safe and in capable caring hands.

In the six months my husband has been at Aspen Court he has been so much calmer and happier in himself. It is now a pleasure to visit him and have what I call my special time with him. I believe this is entirely due to the loving care, kindness and attention he is receiving from everyone who works there. They are wonderful people who are enabling my husband to be the very best that he can be physically and mentally. That care has also been extended to myself as I always feel welcomed each time I visit and part of my husband's new family. My heartfelt thanks go to you all. Carers , nurses, activities staff, office and management and all the support workers , One hundred percent an amazing team !

What a fantastic team at Aspen Court. They gave my stepfather above and beyond care during his stay. He was cared for and supported until he passed away. Treated with dignity and respect, a guard of honour was given by the night staff when he was carried from his room. The activities team never give up trying to interact with residents, lots for everyone to join in and do. I was made to feel welcome and kept up to date with regards to his care. Thank you to every person who works at Aspen.

I recently visited my husband over the lunch time period. We were asked if we would like to sit outside in the garden for lunch - something we might have done at home. It was lovely and sunny, I noted at least 12 other resident sat under the canopy. The tables were set with cutlery, napkins and drinks as if in the dinning room. The lunches were wheeled out and all the staff were helping the residents with their food. It was a happy environment with music playing.The staff were patient caring and observant of residents needs. A great deal of effort was made to ensure everyone was okay and happy as they could be. Well done Aspen Court and thank you.

Carers, managers and support staff work well as a team, striving to understand and identify individual residents' needs and provide exceptional levels of care - delivered with patience, good humour and respect.

In the most difficult of circumstances the staff at Aspen Court enabed my parents to spend precious time together, I cannot thanks them enough or recommend the home more highly.

The room decor, equipment and facilities could do with some updating, modernising and repairing.

My mother lived at Aspen Court for several years with complex health needs. She was treated with dignity, was always clean and the food smelt delicious. Any medical issues, however small were immediately flagged up with me. The home always had themed decorations on display and staff seemed to be much valued with what seemed to be limited staff turnover. Visiting and seeing familiar faces was comforting and welcoming. The manager always had time for a chat, knowing this was important. Stimulating activities suitable for the needs of residents were on offer and it was nice having the ability to sit outside in the pleasant garden area.

My husband has been cared for at Aspen Court for over 2 years now and is always looked after with kindness and respect. I would just like to say a really big thank you to all the staff and his carers for this and also thank you for the welcome and friendliness I receive when I visit him. l am always kept informed of any changes as to how he is. I would also like to say that all staff and carers are really kind respectful and so caring to all the residents there. Thank you all again.

Aspen Court Care Home is an amazing place with wonderful staff from the cleaners all the way through to the manager.

My dad's care is exceptional and this is down to the high standard of respect and care shown to my Dad.

I have nothing but praise and gratitude for everyone who make every day for my Dad so special.

Our experience, my brother, aunty and myself found it second to none. Mum was in there for four years. The staff were so caring towards her and to the family. She was all dressed nicely, they painted her nails often. I thought was lovely! All the staff were always very welcoming on arrival. Always kept us informed of any changes in her. Couldn't have wished her to spend her last years in any other care home. Her end-of-life care was made as peaceful and comfortable as it possibly could be, so grateful to you all for the care and respect you showed to us too. Once again, thank you to all the staff at Aspen Court. Highly recommend!

My dad is a resident here and has advanced dementia. He has lived in various care homes in the past 3 years and I can honestly say this is the best one he has lived in. It is very clean and fresh and always welcoming. My dad is always clean and very well-presented despite the fact that he can be very challenging and uncooperative due to his dementia. His clothes are clean and pressed and he appears very happy and settled. The staff are amazing, always helpful and friendly and are very kind to the residents. Thank you on behalf of my dad. You are all amazing.

My wife is well looked after in Aspen Court, treated humanely as a person, not a number. Aspen Court is a highly competent place with caring staff. I commend it.

I and the wider family are so grateful for the understanding care given to my husband with dementia. His condition is complex therefore the carers have to demonstrate resilience and compassion day by day. This they certainly do and my husband remains as content as possible in his lost world of dementia. Thank you to you all.

My husband has been in Aspen Court Care Home since February 2021 and I am very satisfied that there was a place available for him when he needed it. He could not be in a better place as the staff are all so kind, caring, and cheerful even when he presents difficulties due to his condition. It is clean, comfortable and a happy atmosphere, despite the extra strain of coping during the Covid pandemic. Everyone can be seen to be doing their best at all times, I am always made welcome and notified of any problems and I would have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

The care provided by Aspen Court has always been exemplary. The staff are all wonderful. They have never failed to communicate any problems with my dad's health and any changes to his care and medication. My dad has always been treated with respect, and everyone has been very caring, even though he had very complex health problems. Following my dad's stroke it was his choice not to join in with activities and stay in his room.

A massive thank you to everyone at Aspen Court for the care they showed my mum over the last 3.5 yrs. The care mum received was exceptional. She passed away at the home recently and myself and my sister were treated so kindly and mum cared for with great sensitivity and kindness. All the staff, the nurses, manager, cleaners, laundry personal, activity staff, receptionists, kitchen staff and the handyman, treated us and mum with the utmost respect. We really could not have asked for more. It has been a very difficult year with the pandemic but all the staff had mums best interests at heart and did their very best to ensure mum was as happy as she could be, despite her failing health. Thank you so much, everyone. My family and I will miss visiting you all!

My dad passed away last December 2020 after being there nearly 3 years, I can only speak very highly of all concerned, they were all so kind, thoughtful, caring and showed the utmost respect for dad, he was always kept clean tidy and they always put dad's interests first. They are more than carers, they were part of his extended family.
