Overall Experience

My mother has been in the care home now for 6-7 weeks and I visit her practically every other day. She is so very well looked after. I find the staff so very friendly and caring. The home is also a beautiful calm place to visit but with lots of activities to do and take part in. I was so nervous about mum moving in and had been trying to cope at home but feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful place.

Overall Experience

My mother was admitted following 4 weeks in hospital and 2 in rehabilitation. With severe mobility problems she had recognised, however reluctantly, that she needed a level of care her home could not provide. Within 2 days of moving into Meadow Grange, all her apprehensions had vanished. She had nothing but praised for all the staff and an absolute love for her own room within the home. She praises the meals and incidental catering provided.

Don't expect it to be like home because it isn't. But for people who can't look after themselves it's very adequate and for people who are extremely lonely. The staff are really wonderful. There's plenty to do with various activities and you won't feel lonely.

I have found the home to be kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. Staff are friendly and supportive, with emphasis on encouraging chats in activities they are still capable of.
Meals are on time and enjoyable with care taken with individual tastes.
This is a happy home with caring staff.

All requests I have made for help have been dealt with satisfactorily.

We are always given a warm, pleasant reception. The staff always have time to speak and help find auntie on arrival.

Have never found place anything but clean and no unpleasant smells. Auntie is always well turned out.

If you are looking for a care home I would highly recommend Meadow Grange. Even though a little more expensive than others, the quality of care justified the extra cost.
The staff go above and beyond their duties to give the residents personal care to accommodate their needs. The home is highly maintained with quality furniture, lovely gardens and outside seating for family and residents to enjoy.

The overall feel of the home is welcoming.

My relative has been resident in Meadow Grange Care Home for five happy years. During the whole of that time, he has had no complaints about anything. All members of staff are caring and considerate and work hard to ensure residents' needs are met. The home is kept very clean and well maintained to a high standard inside and out. The food is excellent and there are always choices on the menu.

There are different and varied activities organised most days including a minibus for occasional day trips.

Very clean, always smells nice. Staff are always pleasant and caring, doing everything to ensure residents are clean, well looked after and stimulated. Whenever I have visited there is always some sort of entertainment, often with residents taking part. I understand the food is good and varied (my partner is not easily pleased!!).

The home is in an excellent position, views from the lounges are over fields and there are patios where residents can sit, also overlooking fields.
There is also a good car park.
Televisions are in the rooms but there is a large one in the Television Lounge.
Maintainance of the home and grounds is very good.
There are well organised activities most days and there is frequent very good entertainment.
Decoration is good with clear signs.
Rooms and lounges are deep cleaned frequently.

The home is well ventilated when appropriate.

My mum has been a resident here since July 2017, she has fairly advanced dementia and I can only praise all the staff from the cleaning girls to the management and everyone between for the care and attention they give my mum. The activities and trips out are excellent too. A really caring friendly home.

The staff at Meadow Grange are fantastic. I feel really secure in the knowledge that my father is well looked after and is happy.

I'd like to see a more holistic approach to his health with more exercise and outside activities but I know the home tries to take the resident out frequently.

Overall Experience

From the 1st visit to look around the home and the initial interview with mum in hospital, my wife and I felt completely at ease with those involved. Of the six homes we viewed, Meadow Grange was by far the brightest and most inviting of all. We continue to be impressed at every visit and mum has settled well and enjoys the social atmosphere among the residents. We are very much at ease knowing mum is enjoying the best care we could possibly have found.

All the carers, management, administrator, hotel services, gardener and maintenance staff are extremely caring, friendly, engaging, hardworking, diligent and compassionate.

Having worked as a community nursing sister for many years, Meadow Croft was always the care home I favoured. My mother moved in seven months ago and my expectations of the care and facilities have been realised.

Dad has been at Meadow Grange for almost three years. He is always treated with kindness and dignity.
All the staff, management, carers, cleaners, caretakers are friendly and helpful both to dad and visitors. It has a homely feel and I always feel part of the Meadow Grange family when I visit.

All rooms are spotless, the laundry service is excellent and there is a wide range of activities that are well organised. I cannot think of a better place for dad to call home.
