My uncle has been a resident at Regency Hall for almost a year now. The staff and management have been fantastic with him and always make him feel welcome and comfortable. Regency Hall has a clean, friendly and warm atmosphere, which offers me peace of mind knowing that my uncle is getting the support
he now needs.

I am very pleased with the care my brother is getting. The staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. The only downside is being kept waiting at the entrance most times at the weekends for someone to let me in, but I know there is not as many staff then and they are busy.

My experience with regency has been over the past 4.5 years. Over that time regency has consistently improved. The majority of the care staff and management team truly treat my mother like a family member. She currently doesn't realise she lives there sometimes thinking she works there . The staff
especially the manager play along with this and never make mum feel wrong for her delusions. The food has improved however some of the furniture especially in the bedrooms are tired and constantly being repaired time and time again. The encouragement and support consistently offered is a massive relief to me. Knowing she is looked after by people who are not just paid but genuinely care. (Some more than others). I couldn't recommend the team more highly. The food and constant snacks and treats is always a firm favourite.

Thank you for your lovely comments & feedback. WE encourage feedback so we can ensure we improve in the areas that our resident's & visitors feel are necessary. We are currently undergoing a refurbishment plan which includes a review and replacement of furniture and redecoration of the home. We now have activity coordinators in the home who will be working on a person centered activity planner to provide stimulation to our residents.

My Dad & my Aunt have been residents at Regency Care Home for a couple of years now. They are quite content, well fed, clean and well looked after. The staff are always kind and friendly and you can tell that they really care about both of them. It is never an easy decision, having to put your loved
ones into care but I am comforted by the fact that they are comfortable and getting the best care possible. I would recommend Regency to anyone who wants to make sure their loved ones are cared for by people who will treat them as they would their own family.

My mum has been a resident at the home for just over a year now and has received quality care and attention throughout her stay. All the staff from the chef, carers, domestic staff, activities staff and management are accommodating and supportive and have been responsive to any requests that I have
made concerning my mum.
The rooms are beautiful and spacious and have en suite facilities. The home itself is quite grand and a lovely garden at the back.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff and management for caring for my mum for the time she has been a resident here, still at this present time.

My mum has been with the team at Regency Hall since December 2018. She has received fantastic care and attention over the last few years. Mum loves all the staff, who are friendly, helpful and fun to be around. I would recommend the team highly and the chef makes great cakes!

Whilst my sister was resident here she was well looked after, especially at the end of her life.
The staff were kind and thoughtful towards her.
She was always kept clean and tidy and there were never any unpleasant aromas.
The staff kept us informed of my sister's state of health and were always
helpful towards us when we visited.

My mum has recently spent 4 months in this home. The quality of care was awful. I was never able to get hold of anyone to check on my Mum, if I did manage to they were extremely vague with the information. Every time I came to visit her it was clear that she’d not been washed and was often still in
her bedclothes. Nails never cut, hair never washed, toenails and legs in a terrible state. She told me they only cleaned her toilet when they knew I was visiting and on many occasions, I had to ask for toilet paper as there was none in her bathroom. She was never asked to take part in anything social outside of her room and never taken outside once for fresh air.
One evening she called me very distressed as another male resident had come into her room and frightened her. I managed to get hold of a member of staff to get them to go and sort this out and he then told her off for getting him in trouble which caused her further distress. I am delighted to say I have now moved her elsewhere.

My husband has been a resident at Regency Hall for over a year and has deteriorated over that time until he has become bedridden recently. He suffers intermittent seizures and has difficulty communicating. Throughout the time the staff have cared for him with gentleness, patience and love. They monitor
him constantly night and day, sit with him wash and feed him. They have arranged for music that he likes played which means a lot as he is blind. He is clean, comfortable and contented. Thus involves a lot of extra work for the staff but they do it all with love and kindness. I have been most impressed with the general atmosphere of the home and the work ethic which exists there. The staff from the managers to the general staff are always approachable and supportive not just for their residents but for the families too. Throughout these difficult times, they have stayed strong and committed. I cannot praise them highly enough.

I have visited my mum twice so far this month. It has been lovely to get together again and the staff at Regency have been very helpful and accommodating. It is clear that my mum has been well cared for during the past year and I would like to thank the staff for their efforts over this difficult time.

Made the very hard decision to place both my mum and dad into Regency Hall in May 2019, they share a lovely room and I know they are well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble, supportive management and carers. Very responsive to any requests. Both my parents have settled really well. Lovely surroundings
and well-kept gardens. Thank you Regency staff, keep up the good work!

Mum had attended day care sessions at Regency Hall before becoming a full-time resident. It was great to see her enjoying the interaction with other residents and staff. Mum always said she did not want to go into full-time care, but since moving into Regency Hall her quality of life has improved immensely
and she is 100% happy there. She gets her meds on time, interacts with other residents and staff and can have pretty much anything she wants. Although I've not been able to visit mum in her room since last March, I always found the home to be very clean and tidy. All of the staff are warm, friendly, caring and happy to help with anything; from going out to buy stuff for her, to facilitating video calls during this difficult time. If I need/want to speak with the manager for updates, she is always available. One of the main things I like about her is her honesty about how things are. One-on-one visits started in March 2021 and I have been able to visit mum again! Well done all!

Beautiful looking venue and so close to my home to be able to visit. Mum's stay was supposed to be isolated for the first 14 days due to Covid-19 restrictions. This was not observed and other (many) issues came to light. I removed Mum after six days and almost nothing in writing from the management.
Words and actions do not match and CQC investigation instigated prevents more details.

I like it here. At first, I didn't want to come into a home, but I had a bad fall and spent a long time in hospital and I wasn't safe to live on my own any longer.
Now I am here, I don't ever want to leave. Everyone looks after me and I've made a lot of friends. I have been on lots of days out and
my granddaughter comes with me too.
Everyone is just like a big family.
The meals are all homemade. The chef looks after us well, everyone does.

My Mum came to live at Regency Hall after a bad fall at home and poor care from hospital.
Since coming to live here my mum is like her old self again. She loves living here and the staff are fantastic.
We ourselves as a family have also been well cared for with all our worries quashed. Managers and
staff here are 'simply the best'. Thank you all.

The standard of care given by every single member of staff here is exceptional, from the chef, domestic staff, care staff and management, nothing is too much for anyone. The home is beautiful, my grandma has a room that's so personal to her with all her belongings and pictures, she is so happy here.
She has lots of new friends and loves all the activities, days out, crafts and sing songs. I visit her every day as do my mum and aunty and we are always made welcome and constantly asked if everything is OK and if anything needs doing, nothing ever seems too much. I feel so at ease knowing my grandma is safe and well looked after by all at Regency Hall.

My great grandma absolutely loves living in her new home. She has a best friend who sits next to her every day, all the staff look after her and care for her so well. The carers are amazing, they always make sure if my mum or grandma have any questions or worries about Great Grandma, its sorted out
asap and they are so on the ball. All the carers are lovely and the chef makes all the food from scratch and its lovely.
I'm so happy my great grandma is happy. Thank you all so much, she loves her home, friends and staff and all the nice activities she gets to do.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.278)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.278) out of 10 for Regency Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.609 for Regency Hall is calculated as follows: ( (33 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 46 Ratings = 4.609
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.669 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Regency Hall is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 registered maximum number of service users is 13.6. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.6 = 0.294
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
