Having viewed numerous care homes for my wife , the family decided initially on Rykneld View due to the staff who showed us around and the general friendly atmosphere of the people we met . As my wifes needs increased the staff and especially Natalie always kept us informed about any problems that occured and how they could be resolved . After just over a year my wifes condition rapidly deteriorated , all the staff exhibited exceptional care and compassion not only for my wife but also for myself and the family .

Just thought I'd drop a line to give credit to the people who work here . Natalie and are team are more of a family to the residents and my cousin Sid have never ever been so stable in his life . Every time I walk in there is always something going on with the residents. Sid loves his activities and I always go a brief from Natalie on how's he's been and what we can do to improve Sid's residence. With such low pay in this sector it's hard to get the right people in the job but this home has success with staff who are motivated everyday .

Rykneld View nursing home has very caring and friendly staff who always treat my aunty with the greatest of care and respect ensuring all her needs are catered for. She is happy and settled and enjoys the daily activities with a member of staff who never fails to put a smile on my aunty's face.

Mum has been in Rykneld View care home since end of Feb this year. Staff have been excellent I do believe the selection of sandwiches at tea time could be better. The activities lady is brilliant. Manager is brilliant. They have looked after mum brilliantly. I can't fault it. Mum is really happy here. Which puts our minds at rest knowing she's having good care.

I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care you provided to my aunt during her time with you, as she navigated the challenges of Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. Your staff's compassion, professionalism, and dedication were truly remarkable, bringing comfort to both my aunt and our family. The home itself was always spotless, welcoming, and free of any typical "old age home" feel, creating a warm and dignified environment. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and kindness-it made all the difference.

Absolutely brilliant care home, my nan was a resident here but sadly passed away in February, my nan was a resident at many care homes and this one just tops them all, plenty of activities for the residents to get involved with, fundraising days are always brilliant with residents getting involved, clean facilities, good care and attention to the residents and there individual needs. My nan required a lot of care as she was unable to do this herself and staff were always there on hand to give her the care she needed. The members of staff were always kind and polite to my nan and made a lot of time for her regardless of her illness. I could tell the difference in my nans mood when coming to this time and I honestly can't thank everyone at rykneld home enough for making her part of the family there and taking really good care of her.

My mother was cared for at Rykneld View for a few weeks after a fall, and was placed there by the NHS for rehabilitation support before going home. This nursing home isn't one with sophisticated facilities, but what it does have is very good care, with responsive resident-focused staff including housekeeping, maintenance, carers and nursing colleagues. I don't live locally so was visiting at weekends and once a week for longer periods, and I was very impressed with the quality of care and kindness every time I visited. The manager and deputy manager were responsive to concerns or requests for information. Its very busy but residents seem safe, well fed, entertained and treated as individuals. I am very grateful for the care my mother received and the staff's patience with my emails and questions. Thank you for your kindnesses to my mother and to me.

Cannot recommend Rykneld View enough. Provided emergency respite care to my Nan at very short notice. The staff were so accommodating and nothing was ever too much trouble. Kept us updated when we needed to be and always happy for us to call and check in. Nan was clean, loved and entertained throughout her stay! Thank you to all the staff at Rykneld View.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Rykneld View for several months. As a family we are so pleased how happy and settled she is. It is very much down to how professional and compassionate all the staff are with her care. Creating a fantastic atmosphere, all her needs are catered for which is a great comfort to us. There is a fantastic interaction with all the residents organising daily activities and social events. The home is very welcoming to all the family which makes visiting a lovely experience. Would have no hesitation in recommending Rykneld View.

Rykneld View was one of our options when looking for a nursing home for our mother who has complex health needs. As soon as we visited to have a look around we knew we didn’t need to look any further. The family agreed that this was the ideal place because it was well equipped to deal with mothers' every need. The room available to us was spacious, clean and very well-presented. The management spent time with us and came over as being very professional and compassionate. This stood out. Everyone from management through to activity Co-ordinator, carers and even the onsite handyman are so welcoming, caring and friendly that it creates a wonderful family-like atmosphere within the home. There are plenty of activities and everyone is encouraged to get involved. Our mother has been there for two months now and we are all highly satisfied. Everyone from management down deserves credit as they do a fantastic job and we as a family can sleep at night knowing our mother is in safe and caring hands.

I find the staff and facilities to be outstanding. The care and compassion they have shown my dad since he's lived here is second to none. I have absolutely no concerns or worries where my dad's welfare is concerned. Since my dad has been here, he has improved enormously and is very happy here.

My dad has only just joined the care home, he was recently in another - the other never did anything with home at all, he was just left in bed 24/7. What a glorious change Rykneld View Care Home is, overwhelmed with happiness from all the staff, my dad gets up in a chair to be with other residents. Today the local nursery children came to visit, it was lovely to witness such a beautiful afternoon filled with singing and laughter. My dad's last few years will now be blessed and not worried, 100% bless you all.

I find the staff at Rykneld View are so friendly with me and my mum, they are very caring, polite and experienced. The rooms are clean and tidy with a tv in every room. They provide activities for all residents with special days like an owl came to visit, and games for all. The meals are good with a choice. I am allowed to telephone them when I like to check on Mum if there is anything I need to know they call me. I would recommend this caring home.

Throughout the difficult times of Covid restrictions, Rykneld has put the safety of the residents first and operated a very stringent set of measures to ensure that infection did not get into the home. Whilst this was frustrating from the point of view of seeing loved ones, looking back, I feel they acted to the best of their guidance, and it must have been a dreadful time for the staff, so they deserve our thanks for their dedication to their jobs at that difficult and stressful time.

The manager at Rykneld View is amazing - she consistently goes above and beyond, and under her direction, they have a fantastic team. We would not hesitate in referring friends and family members to them. Thank you.

The home was always clean and smelt nice. My only criticism is that it looks tired and needs updating.
