Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital care home is set among mature gardens and open fields, near the rural market town of Holbeach.

The Hospital Trust was formed in 1988 in response to the local health authority's intention to close Holbeach Hospital. The local community, working with the health authority and raising funds, formed the Holbeach and East Elloe Trust, a charitable organisation that continues to receive support from the community.

The Trust now provides beds for use by local GPs (Anne Waltham Unit), nursing and re-ablement beds. Staff take the time to get to know residents and the families to ensure highly personalised care within a home from home environment.

Visiting

  • The home welcomes family and friends to visit relatives at any time; they believe visitors are an essential part of the care team and very important to the well-being of the residents. Children and babies are welcome to accompany their parents when visiting.
    Well-behaved pets also welcome to visit as long as they have had vaccinations.


    There is free parking at the hospital for visitors, a visitors toilet and a family room where refreshments can be made. Visitors are welcome to join their relative wherever they wish; whether that is in their own room or in one of the lounges.

A lovely group of nurses and staff. Always friendly and approachable and willing to update me on how my mum is doing. I feel she's well looked after and cared for in all areas. The nurses always make my mum smile when they enter the room and take the time to talk and make conversation with her. I always
speak highly to friends regarding Mum's care. Keep up the excellent work.

The staff do a great job of caring for my mother. They are all friendly and are happy to answer any questions you may have. The place is always clean and tidy. I really cannot thank them enough.

My Mum was cared for at Holbeach Hospital for over three years. The care was exemplary with Mum being brought back from end of life three times. She was always very happy to be cared for there and forged relationships with some of the regular staff. As a family, the quality of care ensured we could
feel relaxed and assured of Mum's safety and well-being.
We are so glad Mum's final years were at Holbeach Hospital. We believe it was the best home for Mum. The staff are Angels without wings and we will be forever grateful to them.

My friend is receiving excellent care, is taken out on outings and has a lovely variety of meals. The staff are kind and considerate; they cheer her up when she's having a low point and generally enhance her day.

A wonderful home and facility for Holbeach to have, their care and compassion at end of life is wonderful, we would not have wanted our dad to go anywhere else. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the care they give means you can rest knowing your loved one is well looked after.

My mother has been at Holbeach & East Elloe Hospital Nursing Home for 1 year and is very happy there. Her room is large and comfortable. The food gets rave reviews, excellent choices and much variety. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who have brought her out of her loneliness and depression
with their many kindnesses. The activities coordinators have encouraged her to join in the many activities and take her out on lots of outings. She also has regular visits to the in-house hairdresser and chiropodist who help her well-being. All in all, a well-run, happy home with wonderful staff.

My mum came into the hospital on a short stay due to breaking her arm. The staff were very friendly and always helpful in my mum's care. Also, the physical therapist got my mum walking better than when she went into hospital. So a big thanks to you all. She’s doing really well at home.

An absolutely wonderful care home!
The staff cannot do enough for the residents. They are always putting something on to keep them entertained and serving a lovely variety of meals. Every single staff member I have had the pleasure of meeting has been nothing short of fantastic!

I would just like to thank the nursing home and staff for all the love, care and attention they gave my Mam on her time spent in the nursing home.
Sadly she passed away on Thursday afternoon after a long illness.

I qualified as a Nurse in 1986. Following my qualification, I worked as a Staff Nurse in a Surgical Ward with the NHS, before moving to Lincolnshire in 1992. I worked for a large national charity for 23 years, 12 of those as the Registered Manager, before being made redundant. I joined Holbeach Hospital in 2022 as Deputy Manager and was appointed as Manager in May 2023.
