nursing home. The home is great and the manager Sarah is excellent - she stayed behind after she technically finished for the day to show me around the facilities - out of the 3 homes I visited she was the only person who answered every single one of my questions. She's even arranged for my mum to be taken out on her day off.
Thank you for such a personally written review. I'm pleased to hear you felt supported in such a difficult time for you.
We feel incredibly blessed that our father is at Aslockton Hall. The care and support he receives are truly first class, and every member of staff is friendly, dedicated and professional. The home is spotlessly clean, and there is a real sense of pride in the care provided. Leaving precious loved ones in the hands of others is a frightening experience, especially after having previously been somewhere we did not feel he was safe. From the moment he moved to AH, that fear was replaced by reassurance. We know without any doubt that he is in safe hands here. The difference this move has made cannot be overstated. The staff have become like extended family, and most importantly, our dad feels happy, secure and well cared for. We are deeply grateful for everything they do.
Thankyou for such a kind, heartfelt review. I am pleased to hear we were able to put your mind at ease and anable a smooth transition for you.
My relative has been in Aslockton Hall for a good number of years. I have always found the staff kind and approachable. My relative in the last couple of years has really enjoyed the activities that are put on by the activities lady. She does a brilliant job and all the relatives enjoy it. The home is clean and well looked after. The homes' gardens are well cared for with outdoor tables and chairs for residents and families to use. It is a home from home. My relative is very happy here.
Thankyou for such a kind review. B is a huge part of us, and we enjoy her company and the cheeky charm she provides each day.
I would definitely recommend Aslockton Hall. The home is treated as the residents' home, and every effort is made for them to feel that. The atmosphere is a happy one. All staff are amazing, and as his wife, I am made to feel valued and part of the family too. The nursing care my husband is receiving is excellent, and I am kept informed at all times when intervention is needed. I can go home from visiting knowing my husband is comfortable, safe and well cared for at all times. This makes a huge difference to the family. Meals are wonderful and can be adapted to residents' needs.
Thankyou for such kind words. It is reassuring to hear you feel your husband is so well cared for and that you feel so involved.
The nursing staff, the care staff, the entertainment co-ordinator and the management give an outstanding service. I visit mum each day and could not be happier.
Thankyou for such a heartfelt reply it was a pleasure to look after your mum and to have known you.
- Care is not being completed as assured - hourly checks are not happening throughout the night.
- Some staff not caring - do not communicate well with patients - they ignore/dismiss them.
- Left with no access to water, due to lack of mobility, can be left out of reach.
- Some staff are knowledgeable and kind, but not all.
- Lack of direction in terms of support access for families.
Thankyou for sharing your concerns. We are sorry to hear that you felt the care provided did not meet expectations. Please be assured supporting all of our residents with dignity, compassion is always our highest priority.Every effort was made to ensure your friend's comfort. Different seating...
It''s lovely to hear, especially bro in law, having a laugh with carers, nurses and tea ladies/gents.
Thank you.
Having to make the decision to place our parents into a care home was very hard, but one manager was super efficient and very kind to accommodate them. All staff are very friendly and hardworking. We are happy that they are cared for very well. There are lots of activities for residents and they are actively encouraged to join in. Mum and Dad haven't been there very long, but are both extremely happy with everything to do with Aslockton Hall up to now. Thank you, everyone for making them and us feel so welcome.
Thankyou for such a kind heart felt review. I am pleased to hear your parents are both happy within our care.
Dad was here first & then Mum. Both treated with care & dignity. Very happy with the service. Friendly & compassionate. Thank you.
My wife moved into Aslockton Hall in October 2024, originally for respite care, health and mobility problems prevented her returning home. My own health and mobility problems deteriated at this time and I decided to move into the care home during December 2024. After being in the care home a few weeks, we think we made a good choice, although we have separate rooms, with help and kindness of care staff we are able to spend our days together. We have combined our thoughts before entering the ratings.
The staff are very caring. Very clean. They've been very good with my mother even when she was being difficult. The nursing staff have been very good at keeping us up to date on her medical condition.
Thankyou for taking the time to leave us a review. Your feedback is much appreciated.
Father has been in Aslockton Hall for 17 months, care cannot be criticised in any way. Staff have been exemplary in care and in dealing with any problems that have occurred. Home is always clean and well maintained. Couldn't ask for more.
Thank you for taking the time to complete such a lovely review. I will ensure this is passed on to the staff.
Our frail, elderly mother seems very settled at Aslockton. The care she receives is good and the staff seem to really know and understand her needs.

After the move to Aslockton we have found Mum has settled into her new home very well. The care she is given is excellent and she communicates with them well.
Thankyou for your review. I am pleased to hear you are happy with the care provided.
I feel the care provided has stabilised my Mum and although Dad's mobility issues are definitely getting worse he is being very well cared for and I certainly appreciate not having to worry about them both every day.
Thankyou for taking the time to leave us a review. Your parents have settled very well here and staff enjoy the daily banter they provide.
My mum has settled well into Aslockton and both of us think the staff have been supportive, kind and friendly. With a combination of good food, 24/7 care, plenty of activities, my mum has fully recovered from her fractured hip and is happy.
Thankyou for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm pleased you feel your mum has settled in well and staff are all approachable.
