Mum recieved end-of-life care at Mansfield Manor Care Home and was a resident there for three months. The care provided was excellent and the care staff were very kind, caring and professional. Only one problem - the meals were cold.

As soon as my dad and I visited Mansfield Manor, we knew that it was the right place for mum who was frail and suffering from vascular dementia. The staff have been so kind and caring over the past 3 years, even though mum wasn't always the easiest of residents.
Mum died recently and whilst we were
sitting with her in her last days, every member of staff was unbelievably lovely to me and my family and nothing was too much trouble.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

My mum had been a resident at Mansfield Mana until she passed on the 21st December 2024. Mum had a lovely room that we were able to make like home with special family pictures and flowers. All staff were very good at supporting us through our visits but most of all ensuring mum was well cared for and
treated with respect throughout her stay.

My mum was at this care home from May 2021 to November 2024 when she passed away.
During the time my mum spent here, from day one I have been happy with the care that my mum received. I have never had a reason to complain.
Knowing my mum was looked after well, made it reassuring for me. I had no
worries about my mum being here and I would recommend the care home.
The care home treated my mum like family and I always felt welcomed and part of the family too when I came to visit.
I was always kept up-to-date with regard to my mum's health and wellbeing.
When my mum passed away, I received support.
To all the staff at this care home, thank you.

The person whom I am responsible for moved into this care home mid December 2023. Since then the staff have identified problems that needed dealing with and resolved them swiftly. Any requests that I have made have been dealt with in a timely manner. The service user is very much more settled and content.
Concerns
that I might have are dealt with quickly and communication is excellent. All the staff are very welcoming, pleasant and easy to deal with. The manager is proactive in solving any issues which may occur.

Just to say, the care is absolutely wonderful. My mother and father reside in the home and have done so since December 2022. My mother passed away at the end of July, and the care given to my mother, father, including myself and sister has been and continues to be loving and wonderful. The staff are
absolutely amazing and thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts.

Our family are currently going through the hardest time of our lives, and the quality of Mum's nursing home was a massive worry, but Mansfield Manor has made the transition smooth for us. After viewing a few homes prior, this one just had a nice feel when you walked in. The rooms are clean and cosy
with an en-suite, and with visiting being any time of the day that works well for us all, including her grandkids and her granddog! Mum has a nice view of the garden and has been allowed her beloved fish in also. A nurse is always just minutes away if needed, and they show care and compassion. Lots of friendly staff, and the majority will talk Mum through what’s happening. Any problems are addressed and dealt with, and if the problem still occurs, then communication is passed on again to the care workers. We are grateful to find a peaceful room for all her family to visit. Thank you.

When we first entered Mansfield Manor Care Home we fell in love with it, he settled in straight away, especially the meals (thought he was at the Ritz) the care was second to none (all genuine). He enjoyed the activities so much, we can't thank all the staff enough, he was so happy (it meant so much
to us). I would not have sent him anywhere else, you are all role models for all care homes and if I still worked in care I would have not hesitated on working there. Thank you.

Staff were amazing with my late Father. They were all so good with him over the last 2 years of his life, some of the staff even went to his funeral which just goes to show how much they care.

I can honestly say the staff work so hard to try and ensure my mum is kept safe, well and happy. The meals are excellent, the care is excellent and the staff work so hard to make this a 'home from home'. There are so many ways they find to engage and entertain the residents and I have always found that
they are there to support the family and the resident too. Communication is spot on. I am so pleased my mum was able to find such loving and thoughtful carers in a family environment. It is a testament to the owner who frequently helps with everyone else.

My mum has been in Mansfield Manor for five years. She is now in the last stages of dementia, she has always been very well looked after. The carers really do love her. She is always treated with dignity and respect. The carers and managers are all very nice and always caring. The home is always spotlessly
clean and very warm and welcoming.

I was looking for a care home that would be safe and secure with an extremely caring attitude from all staff. I have had my expectations more than fulfilled by Mansfield Manor. No matter what time of day I get there it is always friendly clean and a happy place to visit. The home always has various
activities on for the residents and include relatives (such as Valentine's meal for married residents) even if the partner is not a resident. Marking birthdays with cake and a little party. If I have any questions for the home they are answered and explained on the day. Altogether I can highly recommend this home for anyone who needs care of a high standard.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.475)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.475) out of 10 for Mansfield Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.854 for Mansfield Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (71 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 82 Ratings = 4.854
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.621 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Mansfield Manor Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.6 = 0.921
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
