Very poor place for anybody. No security and property goes missing. My mum came back with several items of hers missing. Staff are rude and generally a horrible place. Shut the place down as soon as possible.

Reply from Stephanie Judge, Manager at Park House Nursing Home

We are sorry you feel this way, however we are only aware of a bottle of shower gel being lost which we have had in the office for weeks now and which you are yet to collect despite being informed we have it on several occasions. We are not aware of anything else going missing. You have raised no concerns or complaints to the home, so we are unsure why you have made these comments.

A few of the staff need picking up but they do hard work. Would be nice to have a T.V in the lounge.

Reply from Anne Mirasol, Manager at Park House Nursing Home

TV has been up and maintenance have sorted out the channels so I hope this have added to a better stay in Park House. We appreciate your feedback, L E!

Dad moved into Park House Nursing Home in 2018 and in the space of a few months he looked 20 years younger. This week he celebrated his 97th birthday and I'm convinced that it's the care and attention he's received from all the staff involved in his care that has kept him with us. I know that he can be difficult at times but is always treated with respect. However, the rooms are in need of renovation and furniture replacement although corridors are being painted at the time of review.

Reply from Anne Mirasol, Manager at Park House Nursing Home

Thank you for your kind review. The whole home is currently undergoing refurbishment, and rooms are repainted and redecorated.

Mum has taken a while to settle, but she seems to be doing better now. The staff are kind and patient with her. She thinks she's in hospital and calls them her nurses. My only concern is that some of her property has been lost or broken.

Reply from Anne Mirasol, Manager at Park House Nursing Home

Thank you for your kind words about the staff. We pride ourselves to have employed caring and compassionate team who will go above and beyond for all the residents that we have. With regards to mum's properties, we will look into this as a matter of urgency.

From the day my husband moved into Park House Nursing Home, he could not have been more settled, happy and expertly cared for. The staff go up and beyond to ensure his personal needs, involving increasing severe dementia and lack of mobility are dealt with professionally and caringly at all times. Staff are unfailingly supportive of both my husband and me and pride themselves on keeping me well informed at all times. My husband now enjoys a good quality of life and I can relax in the knowledge that he is safe and has a richer existence.

My Mum passed away today, whilst my sister and I were with her at 02:30 at the Care Home. It has been a traumatic day but I was determined to post this review because I wanted to express my sincere thanks to all staff at Park House nursing home in Bulwell. A few points that I wanted to flag up as exceptional:-
* Covid 19 risk awareness and mitigation of associated risks
* Availability and approachability of staff
* Protection of patient dignity
* Staff genuinely care
* Excellent security to ensure no unauthorised entry (or exit).

Mum had been in hospital for the previous 3 months and was referred to a care home to live out her remaining days, as it was no longer safe for her at home. She was only 68 and the bone cancer was aggressive, my sister and I were so well looked after whenever we visited and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone. If any of the staff read this review, thank you for all of your support.

My 92-year-old mother is being very well cared for by kind, considerate staff. Communication has been as good as can be expected with Covid-19 restrictions. She has a good appetite and enjoys the meals. A structured day suits her well.

Park House Nursing Home has shown not only in normal working conditions but in our current times of COVID true personal care through what I would call an extremely dedicated team of employees. Please note everyone is excellent. The food, the rooms. Its a great place to stay and not have to worry about care. keep it up Park House.

My dad is a fast track resident and my mum a respite visitor who wants to become a permanent resident. I cannot speak highly enough of Park House. They have been absolutely fabulous from the very start to present. Indeed Mum wanting to become a resident speaks volumes in itself!

The staff are friendly, helpful, experienced and very professional. Both my parents are very happy and settled here. Outside professionals have had meetings here with me and my parents, they too have praised highly the quality of care, cleanliness and amenities. There is a distinct feeling of a family atmosphere here. My sister and I have certainly felt extremely welcome and comfortable visiting here. We are confident that staff inform us, very promptly and comprehensively, of issues regarding our parents. I would not want my parents to end their days anywhere else! Ten out of Ten and 100 per cent from me and my siblings. Continue the fabulous care!

I can commend Park House Nursing Home most highly for their flexibility and adaptability throughout a period of sad deterioration in my husband's health. He began to have falls requiring trips to A&E and very much higher levels of daily care being put in.

The care has been readily supplied as needed and applied with all patience and kindness from all staff.
