We were very impressed by:
1. The helpful receptionist.
2. The helpful staff who collected our friend from the TV room so that we could speak to him in his (quieter) room.
3. The staff bringing round drinks.
4. The modern style and decoration of the rooms.
5. The cleanliness (and lack of smell).
6. the friend's room was tidy but still had personal items.
Our friend seemed very content to be there and was happy with the food.
We are not aware of any activities for residents or whether they have an activities coordinator.
Hearing that your friend appears content and is enjoying the food truly means a lot to us....
Mum was accepted into Doves Nest Nursing Home at short notice and we were all welcomed so warmly by the staff. Mum had received end of life care within the home with the support of carers & the hospice at home doctors & palliative care, but we had reached crisis point and needed additional help. Doves Nest was our saviour!
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review about the service at Doves Nest. I will ensure that your kind words are passed onto our team.
Another staff member each day would check I was ok emotionally, even making sure I was fed and watered. Thank you.
Another staff member's words as you hugged me when mum passed will stay with me always.
Every member of staff including maintenance, reception, kitchen, care
assistants...you are all incredibly special. You ensured that my mum's final few days were calm, and as peaceful as could be for her and my family.
Thank you

What more can I say other than I'm so glad I waited for a placement for my mum here. The quality of the food and facilities is by far the best we have seen in the North Manchester and Failsworth areas. The neighbourhood is excellent, no gangs of youths hanging around. Don't be put off by it being in Newton Heath, it is an oasis that should really be under Clayton Bridge. The staff will do anything for you at the drop of a hat from the management to the maintenance team. The best team of people working in the best environment always makes a difference. Go visit it, it is more like a hotel than a care home. You do pay more but you get what you pay for, thats for sure.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review. At Doves Nest, we aim to create an environment that our residents are proud to call home. We are incredibly proud of our team and are delighted with your feedback. We will be sure to relay your lovely comments to our team.
A very pleasant and well-kept care home. Lovely grounds and facilities. Staff are excellent with high levels of care and attention. Décor is modern, bright and clean. Only reservation is regarding a lack of regular activities. Doves Nest needs to improve in the area of activities/entertainment. Otherwise all good.
Thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review and provide us with feedback! We value all feedback as this helps us improve our service. Your kind words will be passed onto our team!
Our son has been at the home since March 2022. And has settled quite well, struggled at first but we got him an electric chair which was a godsend! My son gets on with everyone here, carers, nurses, cleaners and kitchen staff. We have a good rapport with everyone as well.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review. At Doves Nest, we aim to create a welcoming, comfortable and happy environment that our residents are proud to call home. We are delighted that you and your family feel comfortable with us and will relay your comments to our team
